Was shipped as it said, a bare root tree. It looked like a stick, the top had been cut off, no branches, no leaves, just a stick. I planted it and waited and watered and waited. Went to the nursery and purchased an actual tree, pulled the stick out and yep, it was dead. I'm not wasting my money again.

It was cut off at the top so now instead of getting a single trunk that will be tall and straight...
It was cut off at the top so now instead of getting a single trunk that will be tall and straight I will have to let some of the off growth from the base grow tall and will have multiple trunks which does not make for a strong tree. None of the directions mention this and all the pictures show trees with their tops intact.
It is growing which is the only reason it's a 2 star and not 1 or no stars.

I was sent this in late June. Multiple trees. All foliage was removed and they were bare rooted. There were no tags or labels to differentiate the trees received. We will see if they grow being bare rooted so late?

I planted these trees within three or four days of recieving them. I am a fairly experienced gardener, however, planting bareroot trees is not rocket science. They looked to be dead, even for a bare root, but bare roots are dormant, so I thought it might possibily grow.
It's now two months later, in a spring that has been fairly cool and rainy-optimal weather.The trees are dead, dead, dead. No shoots, nothing but a brown stick. Not happy.
Theyre going back to home depot.

I never seen a tree without any branch and leaves and burgeon. Only a wood stick with some roots. I planted it in my yard three and water everyday and nothing happened so far. Let's see what will happen in next few days or weeks.

They both came rooted and in soil, so the directions...
They both came rooted and in soil, so the directions online had bare root instructions and so I didn't open until time to soak when I realized they were not bare root. So they both ended up dying first year. They were great size and came pretty quickly and well packed but they instructions online were INCORRECT and ended up being their demise.
