This is not a well-made product. It uses a ball bearing and spring to enable the bolt to slide, and if you push it too far (and it’s not that hard), the whole thing comes apart and you can’t put it back together. I’ve gone through two of them (successfully installing one), and now I have to order a fourth to match the one I managed to install. Better to spend more money and buy a decent quality product.

Junk! The spring inside the bolt fell out before installing. The head of the nail snapped off when installing. Try another.

The unit looks nice, but the channel for the ball bearing to provide the stops and prevent the bolt from coming out of its track, is too shallow. As a result it is very easy to pull or push the bolt too far resulting in the spring and ball bearing popping out. This happened on the first unit I installed. I can tell you, it is a bugger to get back in. I would not recommend this unit if it is actually going to be used as a bolt, as opposed to just sitting there looking nice!

Very poor quality. Three out of eight bolts were defective. The Depot quickly sent replacements but they are nothing I would recommend.

quality of stopper is too poor, I had ordered 6 of them and three of them just slided out of stopper ball/latch and once it is done can't have natural stopper function properly. I have to return them the broken ones.

I needed something to make sure my 2.5 year old wouldn't open the front door at night as she already figured out the lock. This is good because the door doesn't move at all like it would with a chain. I wish I would have found it months ago.

Overall it's a good product, but loses a star, because of the poor quality screws which were included with this package. Two of them broke off while trying to install the mortise keeper in an oak hardwood floor. I couldn't get the screw stems out anymore, so I had to use the surface keeper in a different location for screws with stronger screws.

Excellent quality and works well for two swing doors opening.

This product looks good and works great. It does the job.
