Customer Reviews for Orbit 3/4 in. Plastic FPT Automatic Anti-Siphon Zone Valve

2 of my 3/4” Orbit valve won’t shut off after less than 1 year of service. I opened the valves and noticed a rip in the diaphram. It flood the yard, good thing I wasn’t on vacation. Otherwise I would have gotten a big bill from the water company. I never had this happen with other brand of valves.

3 months and no leaking, will not buy this brand again. In last 5 years been having quite problems with this brand.

These failed me everytime. I even gave them a 2nd chance.. Leaks..leaks.. brakes from manual operation.

Not sure if I would recommend this product yet - we'll see how it works and if it lasts. If it's still in service next year April then I would be more satisfied than if it fails earlier. It would be nice if the dimension from inlet to discharge centerlines were shown on the box. My valvestations are 4" but this on is 3-1/4". Fortunately the zone on which it was needed , I was able to move the outlet pipe to align with the discharge.

This is a replacement valve as I have two of them in use for about 25 years and one of them started leaking water. The replacement was leaking water around the control solenoid threads so I had to unscrew it and apply plumbers thread sealant to the threads and that resolved that issue.

Unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews before I purchased. To my big mistake I bought 10 of these and within 1 month 3 of them broke. I’m returning the 3rd one back tomorrow. Unless you have a hobby of replacing sprinkler valves on your free time absolutely stay away from this product

Great valve for a cheap price. Manual function works just fine. I have both rain birds and orbit valves and im leaning towards the orbit valves only because they have a handy lever to turn the solenoid. Havent wired it up yet for a timer.

A friend recommended this product to me for the 1st time 5 years ago. I've been loyal since. Buy this product money back guaranteed!

Easy install...Worked correctly the first time!

Cost effective sprinker valve - have installed many of these valves at my home and at a rental home. The manual operation lever is helpful when repairing/replacing srinkler heads.

I just got done installing 4 of these valves in my back yard and they all work perfectly as expected. 2 for drip and 2 for sprinklers. I installed them about 8 inches higher then my highest sprinkler. No leaks during testing. Right below the solenoid is a handy lever for testing your system.

Easy to install and simple to operate. Installation was so easy even a child could do it The price was right were I wanted it to be and the instructions were easy to follow. By doing it myself saved me a lot of money. I have since purchase another one and installed it for them and showerd them how easy it is to ionstall.

This item is JUNK! After plumbing it in and wiring it, when I activated it, it failed to allow water to flow and the solenoid was making a very loud, continuous chattering noise. I returned it and replaced it with a different brand

Fails after 6 months. Stay's on and floods the back yard.

The reason for four stars is that the valves usually go bad within 2 years. Used to last much longer.

Past experience this is a great valve - highly reliable. One application the manufacturer warns you of is true. The valve can not be installed lower than 6 inches of the sprinkler heads because it will leak. SO in my case back yard valve feeding higher front yard sprinklers had a leak- it was slow to shut off and then "chattered" so it leaked. Installed the valve higher up the wall and it worked perfectly.

So far very good. Install was quick and easy. Quiet pumps —I hope they last the 6-yr Warranty, or more.JR

I purchased two valve and took them home. I install one valve. When I opened the second box, I found that part of the valve was missing. I'm guessing someone stole the part. I then had to make a second trip to Home Depot, stand in line to return the valve, and then purchase a third valve. I was not happy.

Unlike my previous one, This one has a redesigned shorter solenoid. It is buzzing when activated and is annoying. I put the old solenoid on the new one to solve this problem.

If you read the reviews, you’ll notice a trend. If you manage to get this product installed and never have to touch the manual operation it seems to operate fine. The issue is that the . make threaded diaphram that goes into the top of the main body will shear off very easily.
