I just moved back to southern Arizona and rented a beautiful house. The realtor told me they sprayed this inside before I moved in. It definitely works! I've seen a few dead roaches and a few scorpions. They end up, upside down, when they die. I saw the scorpions dying from the spray. Mind you, this house was sprayed 6 months ago and it's still killing bugs! So I definitely recommend this product. I'm going to have to re-spray here soon and I have a little dog. Never done it b4, wish me luck!

Works well, After spraying the bottom of the kitchen and bath cabinets and the pipes underneath the sinks I have not seen anymore ants.

I've been using Ortho Home Defense for quite a while and have been well pleased with the results. Twice a year I spray the perimeter of my house and it's done a great job of keeping the bugs out. I usually pour it in my pump-up sprayer but decided to try the wand this time. Although it doesn't have a very strong spray it is more than adequate to do the job. The real test will be to see how long it holds up but at this time I'm a happy camper.

It kills on contact and keeps area repellent when sprayed where these intruders like to frequent. I was SOOOO appreciative if the bonus refill that was offered with my purchase. THANKS HD !⁰)

The product is poor!!! I got the product for roaches in my home & I tried it twice & it doesn't work. I even put it around my home as well this is awful I want a full refund & reimbursement on gas for having to drive 50 miles to only be disappointed again!!!! I had the product a total of 3 1/ 2 weeks trying it out

I love that this comes with a spray nozzle. Works well outdoors for ants, etc.

I've been using this product for years keeping the ants out of my house. It used to be hard to apply as it had a pump spray and it used to have the work max on the bottle. Bought a bottle this years and the ants were killed... For a day. Used the entire gallon just on the back of my house over the course of a week. The ants were back the very next day every time. I went to my basement and found what was left of last years bottle(i used it last year inside and out in my house and had left over), and since i didn't have much left I sprayed just the problem areas. (The back of my house where i wasted an entire gallon of this years product.) The ants are gone. Its been 4 days and they haven't come back. So as my titla says it used to be great but apparently they decided to upgrade to a wand so that its easier to apply, but changed to an inferior product that no longer works. I would much rather pumo spray a product that is effective than wand a prduct that might as well be water.

#1 product out there it not only kills bugs but also potato bugs. Keeps my storage spider free. I will never stop buying this. It works Great! Thank you Ortho.

I used this before in my last place where I didn't really have a bug problem more as a preventative measure because I travel for weeks at at time an it seemed to keep pest away. Recently I bought a house that wasn't maintained very well so I notice very small roaches in the kitchen only so I bought a new gallon with sprayer because my last gallon had a date from 4 years ago. Let me tell you I have sprayed every night for 3 weeks an before it is even dry the roaches walk right through it. I sit in kitchen for about an hour after I spray it's entirity an smack bugs with a paint stirrer. They seem to be slowing down but spraying directly on bugs doesn't do anything. They seemed stunned but end up coming to not long after. Maybe I got an old jug or something has changed cause these tiny roaches bathe in it an keep on coming.

I found carpet beetles in my rugs and in my closet. Upon seeing them, I threw away the rugs and items that were infested. I then put every piece of clothing item I had in my house and bagged them. I started vacuuming every thing in my house to include the baseboards. Once everything was thrown away or bagged i started spraying this along the walls. I took out the light switches and sprayed in there as well. I vacuumed the furniture including the back side and then sprayed this behind the sofas and headboards. I did this once a week. I moved the stove and fridge and made sure to spray behind there as well. I vacuumed daily to pick up any eggs and inspected everything. I would find dead carpet beetles so I knew it was working. After 6 weeks of cleaning and inspecting like a mad women I fogged the house. I haven't seen any carpet beetles. I read that the eggs dont die so you have to continue treating so in a month I'll fog again and continue putting this in the cracks. If you want to get rid of bugs you cant just put this down and hope for the best. Get rid of clutter where bugs will hide. Put clothing in plastic totes as you fight bugs. If you fight them you will win but you cant be lazy. It took me hours of daily deep cleaning to fight the carpet beetles because I had to vacuum everything in my home such as windowsills and places you rarely think of vacuuming.

This Ortho Home defense insect killer is totally awesome!!!! Works better than paying for an exterminator! Normally, I spray inside my home couple of times a year because I live in a apartment complex, so buying this product was the best decision, So far I’ve sprayed once, I tollaly noticed the diference the next following day. I dont have roaches Whatsoever, nor spiders, I love the spray nozzle on this--it sprays a continuous stream and I have no hand fatigue after spraying for a long time.This stuff is simply the best. Highly recommended .

This stuff works well for the price. We had a bug problem in an office environment We used this product about every 6 to 8 months for about 2 1/2 years now. It seems to be working well. We only saw I roach since. Then sprayed immediately afterwards, problem gone! So now we stay on schedule.

We use this mainly in the crawl space storage area and utility basement. It has completely eliminated carpenter ants and other invasive insects. We apply quarterly when we change our filters and flush our water heater.

I spray and barrier around my house; inside and out. And when I checked later there's dead bugs, flies, & spiders everywhere. I'll clean them up and spray another barrier. This stuff works like magic. Keeps the critters away.

Home defense is a very good product it kills on contact and keep ants spiders ,, bugs away from the area you sprayed,, I'm now using it once a week around my pool area since I have a lot of spider around my pool enclosure and its working a big difference

This insect killer works great for us! Keeps everything away. We were camping in our travel trailer for an extended time and had a horrible ant and spider problem. I sprayed all around the camper, up and down everything that connected to the ground and the problem was solved. Four weeks I did not have to do anything else. Even after a heavy rain the ants stayed away. Some spiders dared but never made it inside. This product is also safe for your children and pets to be around. We have both. I also sprayed inside. Just spray when they’re not around, let it dry and that’s it. I strongly recommend this.

I been using this product for a month inside and outside my house . Water might work better . I have a roach problem. The areas I have sprayed I have witnessed roaches walking over and they don't die . There getting worse

FAKE MARKETING AND FAKE PRODUCT This is the most ineffective product that I have used so far for cockroaches. I think they are selling simple water.I can challenge the manufacture of this product that it does not work.I have even video proof that when I spray on cockroaches, it seems cockroaches enjoy it. I am not sure how this crap is getting more rating in particularly home depot. Do not fall in the trap by seeing the ratings.

It works for a while but need to keep applying about every week. Also spray nozzle has clogged numerous times I have contacted Ortho. Wish it worked better and wish there was other products out there that worked better.

Great product I used the home defense inside /outside my garage and home.

This stuff will leave a waxy appearance wherever you spray it. (see photo taken 24 hrs after application) Not “non-staining” as the label clearly states. I’ve used another brand on these same floors with no issue. This junk is headed to the garbage can.

Great product for your home to kill off & prevent unwanted insects.

Didn't think I would like the spray bottle, but it works well as a spray or a stream. Doesn't kill on first contact, but does get the job done.

It did exactly what I needed, and killed the ants right away and kept them out of my house.
