This is a very well-built blender with a durable metal drive system (see picture) unlike some with plastic parts that will break or wear out. It even has a 10-year warranty on the drive system. Another great feature is the dual action motor. It pulses at its 1000 watt power level for chopping ice cubes or frozen items for smoothies/drinks and then automatically switches to a 600 watt power level when the higher speed/power is not needed. It has a very substantial glass jar with a well-fitting lid. Lastly, it has a six-blade impeller (see picture) for chopping up anything very quickly. I highly recommend this blender! You will not be disappointed!

The substantial glass jar alone inspires confidence in this appliance. Truly Heavy Duty!. Easily disassembled for washing (though be careful of the blades.....they are SHARP...) and dishwasher safe, keeping the jar clean is an easy task. The "power boost" feature, which starts off with a little extra kick, gets the mixing/blending process started easily,even with a full jar of ingredients. The self-reversing feature is a nice touch, eliminating most of the manual "un-clogging" that is sometimes necessary when using blenders. Although really more of a task for a food-processor, I threw some carrot and onion chunks into the jar and it rapidly chopped them to a convenient size for adding to Tuna Salad. Using the recipe for a frozen drink provided in the operating manual and the pre-programmed "frozen drink" selection resulted in a refreshing beverage. A 3 year "satisfaction guarantee" for the entire unit and a 10 year warranty on the metallic drive parts instill confidence in its longevity. The lid for the jar is provided with a removable "cup" which covers an opening which may be used to add things to the jar while it is in operation, and may be used to measure ingredients. The fit between the cup and the lid is somewhat loose and will fall out if one removes the lid and inverts it (after the third or fourth time picking the cup off the floor, you remember not to turn the lid over). While the multi-lip construction of the lid provides a really tight seal to the jar, one may have to use a small brush, when cleaning, to ensure no food particles remain in the "grooves". The only other minor item was a tendency, when pouring thick mixtures (smoothies, frozen drinks, etc) for the mixture to "dribble" over the pour spout area of the jar. The non-retained cup in the lid and the dribbling of the pour spout are the only items keeping this from a 5 star "feature" rating.

LOVE this blender!! We have bought the $100 ninja the then $250 Ninja and they don’t compare to this Oster!! I searched EVERYWHERE online to find this exact one and I finally found it at Home Depot! I am so happy we got it, I purchased two!!

I actually had this model for about 8 years. When the motor burned out I liked my old one so much that I bought the exact same one again.

We use our blender every day, starting with smoothies for breakfast. We have used this blender for two plus years and have given it as a gift to other family members. It is an impressive machine, powerful, easy to use, good for chopping (it reverses), easy to clean, etc0

Bought for making iced drinks. We use it 4x a day crushing fruit and ice. It has worked like a champ. I replace it with the lower end Oster blender and so glad I did. The machine rotates left, then right if the ice sticks. No more stopping to mix ingredients. I really like it and recommend it.

For the money this is the worst blender I have ever used I am a niciate ing a return of this product. The new smell I has not gone away yet also the settings are incorrect I do not recommend this product.

The example are my sentiments exactly. Plus I was pleasantly surprised how everything I did with it came out great especially the Pre-Programmed settings.

It is powerful enough to emulsify whole carrots, apples, large pieces of ginger, to the point that you can sip the contents through a straw. I must admit, upon receiving the item my plan was to return it and exchange for a juicer. Happy I didn't!

Blender has easy-to-follow instructions.. Blender has already made a few milkshakes' mmmmm!

Bought it about a year ago, love it, love it. I have used oster blenders for 35 years never been disappointed. My Oster Fusion makes great fresh and frozen smoothies all by itself. Choose a setting the blender does the rest, love the automatic reversing of blades.

Does what I wanted not as good at totally pureeing everything but I can deal with a little and I do mean litlle texture in juice

I guess it only crushes ice. Small to Medium pieces of frozen fruit don't seem to crush so easily.

I tried making a shake and some margaritas using my manual method (crush ice, let sit, crush again, etc) but wound up with too many chunks of ice. However, then tried it on Oster's pre-programmed setting for shakes and it came out perfect. If it continues to perform like this, it's a keeper.

A little loud, but makes an awesome smoothie! My husband loves it!

This blender is a good replacement for what we had. It does a decent job of chopping up ice and has more speed settings than our old blender (form another company). Oster is a good brand, one that has held onto its standards for getting the job done right. We are glad that we bought this model.

This was bought for my mother for christmas. She opened the box and was shocked. It was beat up and scratched all over. The crome was peeling off and she cant read the buttons. She thought i put a 10 yr old blender in the box. I was so embarrased. She is afraid to use it. Oster used to be a great brand. Never again.

Love this blender. Solidly built. Blades automatically reverse when contents are thick like ice cubes or making a smoothie. Shuts itself off when done blending. Easy to clean. Best blender I’ve ever used.

The jar is very durable. We like the pre-set options but it would be good to know what was happening. The blades seem strong and will hopefully be durable.

The Fustion 7-speed pre-programmed blender with a 6-cup glass jar is great for making drinks. It will crush ice without any problems so you can make any of your favorite drinks and smoothies. The blade runs forward and in reverse to evenly blend/crush everything. The one touch operation is a very nice feature so you don't have keep adjusting the speeds.

This blender has received our 2 thumbs up! The first thing we noticed was the quality of the components. In particular, the glass pitcher portion is solid and well-designed. Some might think it's heavy, but I like that. Its' the real deal, so to speak. Our last blender was clearly not up to this level (it was too light --making tip-overs more likely and too plasticky --I started feeling like the tastes of old projects were seeping into the latest concoctions). We're getting older, so we're trying be healthier --eating more smoothies for breakfast, that sort of thing. Also, the better half has to do more liquid foods sometimes because of health reasons. This FUSION blender makes for a lot of solutions for us. The display is impressive. The features are great (7 SPEEDS!). And my favorite feature is the double blade; it makes projects go much faster, and it's much more thorough. If you've had a plastic, single blade, simple feature blender like we had, then I think you're really going to enjoy this upgrade. We definitely do! (PS - easier to clean!)

The blender is of good quality and well built. The material is of better quality. Its easy to assemble and dissembled. You can clean is easily. I like the food chop. It chop the food to a reasonable size. The blades are sharp. The blender has predefined program for chop, frozen drink and ice cube chop. The blender is of 1000 watt. I recommend this blender

About two weeks ago I purchased the Oster® Perform Blend™ 200 with Reversing Blade Technology - Black - Glass Jar BRLY07-B00-NP0. I only use it to make my morning smoothie consisting of water, coconut flakes, 1/2 apple, and/or several pieces of papaya, ground flax seed and sesame seeds. This is one of few blenders with a glass jar, which I was looking for as I do not like any plastic or BPA free plastics (I don't trust these as they all leach BPA), and affordable for anyone on a modest SS budget. Also the base is sturdy and does not dance around when it is running. It does not take much space on my counter and is easy to clean. Good features, when they work. On this particular model, however, I do cover the glass top with parchment paper before I place the lid so that the ingredients do not come in contact with the all plastic lid. I was pleasantly surprised at how creamy my first morning smoothie came out with using just the pre-programed setting for frozen fruits (do not use frozen fruits or ice). Unfortunately, the next day my smoothie was not so smooth on this same setting. I did notice that the speed was not the same. So I ran it again, but no smoothie. Then I ran the manual setting for maximum ice crush followed by the maximum pulse, and still no smoothie. Then I thought that if I filled the glass jar with the ingredients and water and let it stand in the fridge the night before it would be soft enough to blend better, but no such luck. It may be that my blender is flawed, but after two weeks of drinking a gritty and not-so-smooth smoothie, I have given up trying and am returning it to the store for a replacement. I hope that the new one will not let me down. Looked at your other heavy-duty blenders, but unfortunately they do not come with a glass jar. At this time I cannot recommend this product.
