These worked perfectly. Our older labrador was not going down the stairs anymore but since we added these she goes down with no issues. The color works nicely with our wood floors. Did not give a 5 star since they do move a bit and have to set them back in the middle.

Hi Regina, sorry to hear about your experience. Depending on the floor, the treads may not stay completely stable. If that is the case, you do not need to glue or nail them down; our recommendation is that you use double sided tape!

Ottoman Escalier collection review
These stair coverings are just OK. The color description was accurate, the covering was thinner than expected, but they are not all cut at 90 degree angles. Some of the corners were so bad I didn't use them.

Color is same as the picture. Holding up so far. Need tape to hold them down and keep from slipping. Not much padding, but expected that. Three stars because some of them are not cut straight, but you get what you pay for.

Don’t believe thickness per Product Overview
I just received these and they seem nice. Obviously if you’re reading the Product Overview, pay no attention to it saying these have a 2 inch thickness. Obviously they don’t. That’d be ridiculous.

Did not come even close to meeting my expectations. ...
Did not come even close to meeting my expectations. Very thin carpeting, corners roll up and catch in vacuum cleaner, rubber on bottom is so thin that the mats often move when one walks on them. Impossible to keep them looking straight on the stairs. These matts are more of a hazard than a protection from slipping on the steps. They slide around even when light footed kids or pets step on them. I took them off the steps the same day I put them down. However, they make good mats for dog and cat dishes in the kitchen! Cheap, washable and easy to throw away. Shame on Home Depot for carrying such a poor quality product.

I would echo what others have said: these do not...
I would echo what others have said: these do not stick to my wood steps and, unfortunately, slide instead of staying in place. Look elsewhere.

Hello - although extremely rare, this may happen with laminated or polish finished wooden floors. I would either suggest using a rug pad, or emailing info@ottomanson so we can help.
Also, The reason this may have happened is because the treads may have air bubbles under them because it was not unrolled properly and therefore did not lie straight. These rugs are tightly roll packed for eCommerce ready packaging. I suggest trying a few of these methods to unbuckle your rug. 1) You can try back-rolling your carpet. Let the rolled carpet sit for a day and unroll. 2) Place some weight (maybe furniture) on the edges for a few days. 3) If those methods don't work, you can apply some heat. Either place it on concrete or hard floor on a sunny day, or if you don't have the space, you can try turning it around and using a hair dryer using a sweeping motion from 6-9 inches away.
