Hi Mark, We are confident in our non-slip backing. The reason this may have happened is because the treads may have air bubbles under them because it was not unrolled properly and therefore did not lie straight. These rugs are tightly roll packed for eCommerce ready packaging. I suggest trying a few of these methods to unbuckle your rug. 1) You can try back-rolling your carpet. Let the rolled carpet sit for a day and unroll. 2) Place some weight (maybe furniture) on the edges for a few days. 3) If those methods don't work, you can apply some heat. Either place it on concrete or hard floor on a sunny day, or if you don't have the space, you can try turning it around and using a hair dryer using a sweeping motion from 6-9 inches away.
