Clear and accurate directions for assembly.
I was very disappointed when I opened the boxes that the cedar siding used in my unit was not like that shown in the pictures either from the company or the customer pictures used here. The siding used in mine is manufactured siding. Each piece of siding consisted of anywhere from two to five different pieces of siding of different colors. I am happy with the building for the most part but I would not have ordered it if I had known that it was not as attractive as presented.

Absolutely beautiful shed and easily put together
Wonderful kit, spot on pieces and easily assembled. I don't understand why some people have said they needed carpenters and had to cut pieces. Highly recommend this kit, beautiful cedar, great quality!

      Very pleased!
Very pleased with this product. We added this to two purchased a few years ago. They are high quality in appearance and function. I highly recommend watching the video before assembling the shed as it complements the paper instructions well. It made more sense to tack the wall pieces together before attaching them to floor. That way, the walls could be centred perfectly (left-right & front-back) and the space for the door can be precisely measured before anything is anchored down. Be careful to not let the paper labels fall off as there are several pieces some of which appear similar. Last, I was quick to drill pilot holes for the screws to prevent the wood from cracking. The tape measure, screw bit, and salmon plank were lovely gifts. I have not finished any of my three sheds and they have weathered very nicely.

      Beauty, eh?!
Well crafted and finished shed. Really a beauty and the smell of Western Red Cedar can’t be bested. Most of the instructions were clear for the build. I made one mistake in the overlap of a corner trim in finishing but the rest were clear. Lots of extra nails and wood screws and such in case you lose some. There’s a lot of pieces to assemble but most are finish and trim work. It took the better part of a Saturday but was worth it. We’re very happy with this and are thinking of a second.

Cedar garden shed made in Canada
It is more difficult to assemble than advertised. Hire someone who is capable. It needs staining to protect from weathering. It comes with very good instructions, well packed in 3 flat pack boxes.

      Perfect shed!
My boyfriend and I put together this shed a few weeks ago and I really love it. Assembly was manageable although it definitely took the full 6 hours to build. Plus another couple of hours to stain with a clear protective cedar oil. You do require a saw to trim the odd piece (bf has an electric one with a lazer guide thankfully!). We also each had our own drill & tool set which helped. Shed looks great and now contains all my garden tools, winter mats, garbage cans, mower, etc

Look at this page and ignore that it indicates 1 person can assemble it in 8 hours. More likely: 1 homeowner and 1 carpenter / 6 hrs initially, +4 hrs for detail and fitting, adjusting work. Then countless hours trying to figure out solutions as to why rain water flows in through the ill-fitting doors. Yes, the construction materials are (mostly, but not all) a quality wood. The instructions are difficult and you should not expect perfect results unless you intend to install on an poured slab, perfectly engineered to be 100% continuous (no bumps or pour ridges) and level to the micron. And, as you see in other reviews, the hardware sometimes does not fit properly, esp. door hinge and latch assembly. Shelves were a joke; I redesigned and added a few more. The door "fit" if you can call it that, is the most disturbing. There is liberal spacing around the door frame to hang the door pieces, just in case something went a bit off kilter in assembly (as it probably will). That spacing is irregular and absolutely unnecessary, when installation is properly handled. But I'm sure there were problems in design fabrication trials, so a smaller than acceptable door was used to correct eventual failings in structure integrity. The door even looks like an afterthought. The design is not consistent with the shed. I have added around $25 of weatherstripping to try to block the gaps - without much luck. Let me just reference this to my geographic location. South Florida, and also the Gulf Coast, for that matter, experiences rainfall similar to all tropical climates, and that is torrential downpours often accompanied by blasting winds. This shed should not be marketed in southern regions without a disclaimer that references it's lack of consideration of water intrusion. .... but it looks vary nice .... much like what you would expect from a spokesmodel or Hollywood wannabe. All appearance and no substance.

This shed was easy and fun to assemble. It looks great and and smells great too. Fits perfectly under the avocado tree and stores my table saws out of sight, off the driveway and protected from rust. The parts were all labeled and well organized and the assembly manual was clear and easy to follow. We used a smartphone to refer to it. The whole project took two of us 7 hours to complete, with lunch and coffee breaks and pauses to step back and admire our work as it progressed.

I really like the product. It was relatively easy to assemble for 2 guys. The directions were pretty easy to follow and the You Tube video was also very helpful. It took the 2 of us about 4 hours to assemble it. It is roomy inside, comes with shelves and is serving the purpose for which we bought it

        Amazing!
The shed is a great buy. We ended up putting it against our house so we stained all the back pieces before we started. Then we built the whole shed but did not install any trim pieces. We stained the shed and the trim pieces and then installed them. I would recommend to stain/seal the shed for extra protection and doing it before you put the trim pieces on is important as you might not be able to get your brush in the cracks. We used Behr Weatherproofing Transparent in Cedar Naturaltone and it turned out great!

        Fine purchase
It's super-cute and I installed it in a day. Everyone loves it. A couple of notes: 1. You really don't need a nail gun, as some have suggested, unless you're in a terrible hurry. 2. The OLT people were great, calling ahead of time for questions, making sure I knew the installation hotline, 3. Directions are pretty good, though I did lose an hour or two because I had to build it against a wall (so had to build back first). I'd suggest a little clearer instructions for this possibility. It was tricky and I had to improvise. 4. As everyone else says, pay very close attention to keeping things square. You most likely won't be perfect, but getting the walls right saves a lot of time down the road. Take your time to save time, and read instructions carefully.

Great Looking, Easy to Assemble Cedar Shed
This shed is great! The hardest part and the thing that took the most time was constructing a level paver base, because the spot we wanted it in was not level. Once the base was complete, then assembly of the shed went fairly quickly. It took 3 of us about 4 hours to complete the basic structure, and then maybe another 2 hours to finish all of the trim work. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. All of the pieces are clearly labeled and easy to find. The finished product is very solid and looks fantastic.

        Effortless
Delivered effortlessly to a convenient location for building. Really easy to build, about 3 hours. Finish nail gun made trim work easier but not required. Couldn't imagine any easier unless delivered assembled. Good quality and easy to stain and seal.

        Looks fantastic!
It took my father-in-law and I around 12 hours to get the shed up, but that included site prep and staining/watersealing as well as the actual construction. We had some trouble with getting the trim on but it was because we sunk the shed base into a concrete foundation as opposed to sitting it on top of pavers. My suggestion is not to fool around with a complex foundation for this shed- a paver base would work best. To be clear: the assembly instructions were very easy to understand- it was our fault that we went with a different foundation type and so we had to improvise in some places when adding the trim. Even with those slight problems, though, the shed looks absolutely fantastic and fits in well with our yard. We've recommended Outdoor Living products to some friends that came over for a cookout after we got it up.

High quality. Lots of parts but great instructions
From before I received the unit until I completed the construction I was very happy and suprised by the manufacturer. After I ordered it I got a call from the manufacturer in Canada letting me know they were shipping and what to expect. I then received an email with the instructions and a photo of what the packaging looks like. When it arrived on time I was able to assembly it problem free with the instructions provided. I opted to prime and paint all the exterior surfaces to match my house and water seal all the interior piece by piece prior to assembly. It took a long time, but looks bewautiful now and will for many years. I also used a lot of caulking on the joints during assembly. Probably 7 tubes or so.

        Looks great!
I first starting looking for a shed for my kids bicycles and saw a lot of plastic ones that were disappointing and the wrong size. Then I found this one, which is perfect and awesome looking. Assembly things to mention: - We stained it with Sikkens SRD Translucent stain in Cedar color. We stained the parts before we put it together and got a bit carried away on the shingles and ended up needing a 2nd gallon to finish the last 2 feet of the last door. Since we needed a 2nd gallon to finish it, we decided to stain the interior as well. We spent 6-7 hours staining -- as I said, we got a bit carried away. - The instructions for assembly are well written. As another reviewer said, make sure to align things as the instructions say. Sometimes it will say align with the siding and other times it will say to align with the frame -- the difference matters so follow the words closely. Things will align on the outside but may be slightly off on the inside, which is fine -- follow the instructions. The trim on the outside really will cover up the things you think look off while you are building it. - Leveling it is important. I used a lot of cedar shims -- there may have been another way but I'm a newbie and already had a paver patio I was putting this on. - A nail gun really makes light work of the nailing portion (there are still a lot of screws for a drill to put in). The wood is soft so screws are easy to put in and the nails need very little PSI to go in. Note for cedar that you must use hot dipped galvanized nails (not electro galvanized), stainless steal, or aluminum. Home Depot did not carry these types of finish at my local store for my nail gun -- I had to order them online elsewhere. - Shingles! Drill pilot holes for the nails!!! There are about 10-12 shingles that must be installed by the user. They ship a couple of extra shingles but I still split a few before I started to drill pilot holes. I have one shingle that I glued back together with gorilla glue and clamps. Overall, the instructions really made this project doable. The unit is light enough after it is built to move it around with two people pushing on it. For unloading, the Fed-ex freight guy and I removed each of the 3 boxes individually from the truck.

Great Project, Perfect Place for Your Stuff
This Red Cedar Storage Chalet comes to you in three cartons with easy directions for assembly. It is a half-day project for two people. If you are not a perfectionist, get some DAP Cedar Tan caulk to make up for it. It smells great, looks great and should last a long, long time. Customer service is excellent. I also purchased a gallon of sealer and coated it for extra waterproof protection.

Decent quality for pre built but overpriced
It's a lightweight shed that comes in pre assembled sections. Relatively easy to assemble and ok quality once together. The individual sections feel cheap but get sturdier upon assembly. Need great care as materials are thin and prone to snap if tooo much pressure. Definitely need a finish nailer as hammering will kill it. Price is way way too high but paying for convenience if not having to cut all the pieces etc.

Would have liked to see dimensional lumber in the 2x3 to 2x4 range, as the framing supports did not provide adequate anchoring for screws, especially when required to drill directly into the wall boards. I considered returning the item and would have done so if able.

The shed was shipped timely. It arrived at the Home Depot in great condition. The Home Depot employees were of great help. The kit itself was complete, directions were easy to follow & we completed construction in about 6 hours. Thanks so much to all involved in the purchase, delivery and construction of the Cedar shed.
