This is my first experience working with fiberglass insulation--I used between studs in 2x4 walls. The fiberglass doesn't shed much after it is cut, which was a pleasant surprise. I had suited up with dust mask, goggles, gloves and long sleeves. But, I found if handled gently, it didn't seem to shed at all. So, I just used gloves and did all the cutting outdoors.
The insulation held itself in place between the studs, so I didn't have to staple right away. I was able to do the stapling after I did all the cutting and filling the spaces. That was very efficient.
I used a pneumatic stapler which is so much better than a manual staple gun. Highly recommend using one.

Worked well. Our builder (Century Communities)failed to insulate the exterior wall sufficiently, causing the water lines to our master batroom to freeze during the extreme cold weather. I packed the wall with additional insulation which has resolved the problem.

The product was fine and installed easily. The big issue was that 5 of the 11 packages purchased...
The product was fine and installed easily. The big issue was that 5 of the 11 packages purchased were short 1 piece of insulation resulting in me needing to buy additional product. Home Depot stepped up and took care of the issue but repeated emails to Owens Corning have gotten no results. I rate this one star and do not buy due to so many packages being short on product. Look to Johns Manville or another insulation manufacturer for your needs

Buyer Beware!!! Owens Corning says 7 pieces per package. In reality, you may only get 6. I purchased 12 packages this past weekend and ended up returning one and using 11. I had to use 11 because 5 out of the 11 packages were short 1 piece of insulation. That is 45% of the packages I got were short product. You cannot accurately budget with Owens Corning Insulation due to the fact that you will not know how much product is actually in a package until you cut it open. Count on extra trips and money to pick up more to finish your job.

I had read other reviews and bought it anyway. There is a very slight smell of roasted marshmello...
I had read other reviews and bought it anyway. There is a very slight smell of roasted marshmellows. It goes away when you stop moving the product around. Installed it a few weeks back. This is not like the old traditional old school hardcore fiberglass insulation. My wife thanked me for buying something that wouldn't make her itch so bad after touching it.
