We had a pergola installed a few years ago and had a can left over, I started re-sealing for my first time and this product seems great! super easy to get even color and absorption. I need more to finish the top of the pergola and outside of the privacy screen that is where the sun really hits it so the wood absorbs a lot more of the sealant. Since I had a small project I am using the last of it on two flower boxes. Attached some pictures for reference.
PPG 085 Teak gives a beautiful rich finish with 2 coats. The first coat absorbs this penetrating oil based stain deep into the wood. Especially if you have an older deck that you are refinishing. Wait 3-5 days to apply the second coat. I love the result and highly recommend this product. FYI, wait a week after power washing before you apply the first coat. The wood needs to be completely dry so it will absorb the stain. Now that you know...just do it.
I used this stain years ago on my cedar fence. It was called Sikkens brand then which PPG bought. It held up well.
Just used on new cedar fence, covered very easy and the color is great.
In Oregon it rains a lot and this stain has been the longest lasting I have used.

It was okay. Expected it to be more the color of teak as shown on the can but came out darker than I wanted.
