I originally stained my fence with BEHR stain. It was awful. A representative in the local Home Depot advised me to try Sikkens solid stain advising me I would be much happier with that brand. It is now owned and marketed by PPG. There is no comparison. Use this product, not BEHR.

The stain is easy to apply and looks good. After one and a half years the top part of the deck still looks great. "the posts and such", the deck does have some spots where the stain peeled off. They are mostly near the front of the deck which has high traffic. It has lasted much better than the Thompson's water seal or other stains I have tried. I don't think any of the stains are perfect.
Covered great the first coat. Have used it in the past with no peeling nor fading after 3 years.
