Seems flimsy,

It was delivered completely "naked", without any wrapping paper or cardboard. Nuts and bolts were missing: I had to get them delivered with a new shopping which took 10 days to arrive. It adds protection:I draw on the scaffolding and I do not want to fall down if distracted. Easy To assemble but wobbles a lot.

A good addition when you stack your scaffolds. It attaches quickly and securely.

The guard rail was a good price and a good rail system.

Did what I needed

This guardrail was sent free to my front door... very convenient! The rail is simple to use and fit my existing platform system. It is made up of just two pieces, and comes with safety pins to secure the railing to the platform.

The product is sturdy and customer service was very responsive. The package arrived at the Home Depot store and was in bad shape with two of the corners of the box torn open, which allowed the hardware to be lost. Customer service provided replacement hardware within a week.

Slight misalignment in the holes when assembling, but nothing a long punch or even a screwdriver could not fix. Went together rather easily. Somewhat flimsy and rattles a bit when moving the scaffolding, but should provide adequate protection provided you keep both end doors closed; which helps to add to the rigidity.

Standing six feet above the floor on my scaffold in my shop makes me see the floor almost 12 feet below me. The railing makes me feel a lot better and safer.

The scaffold was easy to assemble and the instructions made sense. We ordered a safety guard for it and that was also no problem to install.

Holes for bolts were not perfectly aligned during assembly. Is wobbly .

The guard rail system does the intended job, but it is not exactly the sturdiest setup I have seen. As the round rails drop into a square socket, there is a bit of clearance (read--"slop") which lends an impression of flimsiness to the system, though it is sturdy enough to prevent you from falling off the scaffold deck. It does rattle a bit. I had first shopped this at $225.00 from HD, and would not purchase at that price, but did not hesitate at $129. 00 freight free. Now I can work on the lighting fixtures in my new shop.

I am not sure if they are completely necessary, but would not want to fall off the scaffolding. I put up only one side because the scaffolding was against a wall on the other side and I want full access to the wall. That makes the guard rail wobbly bust still secure. I left the guard rail on the ground, outside in the rain. Some of tubes filled up with water and did not drain. A day later when I poured the water out, the water had turned rusty. I imagine it would not be such a problem when installed and the tubes horizontal, or if you did not leave it out in the rain. A little hard to haul up to the top. Perhaps you could pull it up with a rope.
