Customer Reviews for PROBRITE 150-Watt Equivalent Integrated Outdoor LED Flood Light, 2000 Lumens, Outdoor Security Light (2-Pack)

This is a large, rugged, very bright, LED light, cranking out 5000 lumen. It also has a built-in photocell, which can be disabled, for dusk-to-dawn lighting, and has 10 volt dimmer connections. That last item is important, and I missed it entirely when I read that this light was dimmable. I had in mind installing this fixture to replace an outdoor halogen fixture controlled by a motion sensor -- that also operates at a dimmed level when NOT detecting motion. This light does not operate that way, and is unsuitable for what I originally had in mind. (For those that want to use the dimming capabilities of this fixture, Home Depot can special order an appropriate 0-10 volt dimmer for $70-$80.) So... on to "Plan 'B'." I used this fixture to replace a fluorescent floodlight on my back patio. It installed quickly, offers much more brightness (though this might be one of few occasions where using an LED fixture INCREASED my power consumption, going from 27 to 45 watts in the transition,) immediate illumination, and should be less attractive to flying bugs. The 4 1/2" (11 cm) depth of this fixture and under-eave mounting location meant that I was limited in how far outward I could tilt the light, leaving me with a somewhat smaller, brighter, area of illumination. This fixture would probably be best mounted at least 12' (4m) up on a wall or pole to make use of its brightness and throw radius. That it wasn't well-suited for my intended use is no fault of the fixture, which is well constructed and covered with a 5 year warranty. The only negative I had was with the supplied L-shaped allen wrench. The wrench is plated so unevenly that the long end of the wrench didn't fit the angle adjustment screw for which it was intended.

This flood light is fantastic . The PROBRITE 70-watt Led flood light with 8000 lumens was the perfect choice to illuminate our entire back yard. It has a Die-cast aluminum housing that is powder-coated making it weather resistant. The light provides 4000 Kevin which is a bright white color. It also has the option to install a 0-10V dimmer switch and has a Dusk-To-Dawn option with a built in photocell. Installation was very nicely illustrated in the instructions and easy to follow. I highly recommend this flood light to anyone who is looking to light up large area.

Warning: this light will turn the night into day with 8000 Lumens from the LED bulbs! It’s actually the best outdoor light I have on our farm; it’s a floodlight and not a spotlight, so the light spreads out over a large area. This is a heavily built light, so be sure to have a solid foundation to attach it to. Probrite has built this 70-watt outdoor integrated LED commercial floodlight very well, and it should last the 50,000 hours that Probrite claims it does. The bronze finish looks classy as well. Installation is straight forward, and by following the instructions, almost anyone can install this without professional help. There is an option to attach a dimmer switch to it so the brightness can be controlled. I purchased the dimmer switch separately (under $20), and it worked great. I suggest using this option because this is really a bright light. It is also very simple to make this a dusk-to-dawn light or a switched light to use only when needed. The dusk-to-dawn feature is not enabled, but all you need to do is remove the cover over the photocell, and it becomes functional. This Probrite floodlight is an excellent investment for the security of a home or farm.

5 stars everywhere. Easy install, super bright and day night option if needed. 5000 lumens really lights up our yard, mounted 13 feet up the wall of the shop it casts bright light close to 50 feet across. I don't use a dimmer but set it up for day night which is super easy by just changing a cap over the sensor as shown in the last photo. Wired it to the existing switch it comes on at dusk and then when we turn in I shut it off at the wall switch so it does not burn all night. Looks like a very high quality case for the LEDS so I expect good life.

Powerful light that does the job! Going to use it to light up a medium size back yard grass area so we can play night games..... I was at first confused at to why there is "no base"....but finally figured it out...you have to buy the correct bottom piece so you can screw the bottom piece into it. Haven't done it yet, because I have to run the power supply to the location and add the base, but it is in the plan. Very heavy, solid....looks like great quality.

This is a really good unit, it has an aluminum housing, sealed very well, easy access panel, very bright lighting, dimmable, dusk till dawn feature, only uses 50 watts per hour, and has a knuckle that can be locked into different angles to achieve the best lighting for your area. I like to mount these units on metal buildings or make a metal bracket to mount them to. This one covers a really big area if you mount it 20'-25' high still with bright lighting.

This is a great product, it has an aluminum housing, its sealed well, and has good quality LED lights. For 2000 lumens it covers a pretty good area with bright lighting. It has a swivel joint that you can lock into whatever angle works best for you, and only uses 20 watts per hour. The mounting is set up well for a metal building or a metal bracket. The dimensions are 7 3/4" wide, 5 1/4" tall, and 4 1/4" thick.

Excellent price and a quality fixture for 5000 lumens. Robust little fixture yet light weight for 1/2" knockout boxes that delivers the light level of the other 5000 lumen monster heavy wall packs in my shop. Took maybe 30 minutes to replace the incandescent flood lights I had and that included dealing with a 16' fiberglass ladder to get to it. Nice include day/night cover, rather than the usual sticker for not using that feature and is dimmable.

At this price and the ease of installation and the energy savings, There is no reason to put of changing to outside LED lamps. Payback in my case will be 2 years at most for something that will last decades. This was a replacement for an outside landscape lighting [100w]. The light color is a natural white that spreads over a wide area. The effect through the trees is amazing. It turned out to be very pleasing on the eyes. It was easy and quick to install. No special tools required. It comes with the wiring allowing the light to be dimed. Important if you are too close to the neighbours. You will need to get a mounting bracket. I like the fact it can run on 120v or 240 v. It also has a photo cell feature.

This is a review for the 5000 Lumen model. I got the 2000 Lumen model and the 5000 Lumen model. I got them both, assuming the only difference was the size and brightness. Turns out, the 5000 Lumen has a Dusk to Dawn sensor and is Dimmable. The 2000 Lumen has neither feature. Based on 2 1/2 times the brightness, and the included additional features, the 5000 Lumen model, is for me, a much better choice, and worth the higher price. On dimmable bulbs, I prefer the brightest option; I can always dim it to 2000, or lower, if desired. It is a heavy duty, quality fixture, with a thick glass lens. It should last for years. It does not come with a mounting plate or ground spike, just standard wire nuts (not silicon filled ones; which I recommend for outdoor wire junctions). Its weight (heavy at 6.5 pounds), brightness and size (see pics), limits where it can be used, but it is ideal for my barn.

This is a review for the 2000 Lumen model. I hate when product reviews are mixed in with similar looking products, with much different features. I got this assuming it had Dusk to Dawn, based on Specifications ("Dusk to Dawn ... Yes" [see screen grab]). It does not have Dusk to Dawn, but a very similar looking 5000 Lumen model does. I got both, assuming the only difference was the size and brightness. A Dusk to Dawn sensor, or motion senor, can be added (like most exterior fixtures), but it is extra. I also thought it was Dimmable (based on a review), but it is not. 0-10V dimmers are expensive. I was figuring I could justify the cost, of a 0-10V dimmer, if it worked on my entire barn (the 2000 Lumen facing my driveway and the 5000 Lumen facing away from living quarters). Although it is not what I thought I was getting, it is a heavy duty, quality fixture, with a thick glass lens. It should last for years. It does not come with a mounting plate or ground spike, just standard wire nuts (not silicon filled ones; which I recommend for outdoor wire junctions).

This is a heavy duty outdoor LED Flood Light. It can be used for security and/or as architectural accent lighting for that special something in your yard. This particular unit has 2000 lumens which is fine for my needs as I did not want to overwhelm my neighborhood with the 5000 lumens model. It has your typical Black, White and Green three wire electrical connection for normal home wiring outlets. The only hardware included is 3 orange electrical connectors. The unit is not light so you might need to make sure your installation location is slightly reinforced if it will be hung/suspended. It comes with a small user manual pamphlet.

Let there be light ! Replaced one of the common double flood fixtures with this unit. More light and eliminated the two bright spots with an even dispersion of daylight across an even broader area. The unit is commercial duty heavy, well built. I'd like to see it a tad less expensive but you won't be disappointed with the little extra more than the cost of the traditional fixtures. I don't use it dawn to dusk but activated the sensor so it will turn off if I do leave the switch on. Would have liked the mounting stem about an inch longer. Night pic doesn't do justice but I shouldn't have to climb on the roof again ! Anyone have a ball field ?!

Wow is all I can say. It totally blew me away. Its is one POWERFUL flood light for secuirty for my home. I had an old one from 1988 the year my house was built and let me tell you, it looked like it was that old. It was barely lighting but this.......this is smart. It turns itself on and off depending on the light amounts hitting it and I am so pleased . Waterproof, high quality, durable I am ecstatic about this product. You never have to worry about chaning a battery it gives you 15 years guarantee on the lights so you just replace the whole thing which will have evolved by then anyway. Love it. I will use this flood light to accent my home from the highway. It projects a beam of light 55 feet wide or 17 meters of a white light. Has 80 separate premium LEDs that consume only 50 watts of energy. It has an expected life span of 50,000+ hours or translated into 14 years of maintenance free lighting. Has a durable cast aluminum housing with a tempered glass lens. Can be used as a dusk to dawn by leaving the wall switch in the on position or as temporary flood light by turning on the light by the wall switch Has a knuckle handle which can be adjusted for any angle. Carries a limited 5 year warranty. Savings of over $620.00 compared to a comparable flood light bulb.

Wonderful! Nice, bright replacements for 40 year old lights. Only issue - it would have been nice to know about dimmers.

Very bright light but only lasted 11 months running about 5 hrs a night. At that price thought it would last a lot longer

Junk. Poorly designed mount. Screw in mount pulled out and manufacturer does not have a replacement part. Light is very heavy and appears this part is not strong enough for that weight.

I purchased this light a couple of years ago, and it broke within 2 years. It is cycling on and off non-stop, and covering the photocell did not help. As it is within the 5 year warranty, I thought it was worth a shot to try to get a replacement or at least some help to fix it. But the home depot customer service line (1-844-548-3776) that is listed on the manual hangs up immediately before connecting and inquiries over email (support@homedepot.com) has been non-responsive.

I've had my light for 1.5 years and all of a sudden it quit working. I'm not sure what is wrong with it. I know it has power going to it because i can see a low glow coming from it. Any suggestions?
