This is very warm for me in a 12 ft x 14 ft room which is smaller than the recommended listed- Medium room size of 200 x 300 sq. ft This is much better for the price at roughly 3/5 that of the more conventional sized taller ceramic heaters with the four wheels. This smaller one can be easily picked up and moved with you across the room and has a nice built in handle. You can even, for a short time mind you(!), pick this up and place it upon your lap when you first enter the its room and turn it on. Heat can be felt within ten seconds as the built-in fan, which is low noise and always on, spreads the warmth around. I have been setting the "thermostat" only about half way to its hottest setting and this is plenty warm for me. This also oscillates left and right some although I have not had the need for it as of yet. I paid the regular retail price of $50 and it was well worth it! -Doug B. I have kept my house furnace set below where it turns on for the most part and have my living room closed with a snug door. This has been working at 25 deg. outside and I anticipate this continuing when temps dip below 0 farenheit!

So far so good. The heater is covering roughly 300sq ft with 9ft ceilings. It heats the ambient air very well to a comfortable level. On high setting, the power cord stays cool to the touch, plugged into a 20amp outlet, with nothing else using that circuit. Don't let the size fool you- this thing is very efficient and puts out a good amount of heat. The fan runs very quiet. I'm very satisfied with this purchase, hopefully this heater will last. A previous review complained that the fan ran at the same speed on high and low. That is correct- HI and LOW refers to the amount of heat, not the fan speed.

  • Works well for me

One of these heaters, set on the low setting, will comfortably heat my small 144 sq. ft. bedroom. If the temperature drops exceedingly low here in Georgia I turn the unit on high. Another thing I do is avoid using the unit thermostat. This appears to be a weak point with heaters of this type. Instead I use a separate K-Kontrol mechanical thermostat. The combination has worked perfectly for me. I’m going into my third year with this heater. The separate thermostat does, however, nearly double the cost of the heater. I might add that I have a shed with four or five additional heaters of this exact type which I will use in other areas or as replacements. Four stars because I do not trust the thermostat on these types of heaters.

It makes a strange noise when it is set to rotate. It sounds like It needs to be oiled or returned for a new one not sure which yet. Only used it once when our furnace was having issues, it does heat the room very well but the noise made it impossible to let it run in the rotating setting.

I bought this heater to warm a space I am working in. Even when the temps were in the 20s outside this little heater was able to heat the garage I am converting into a room with out any problem. On high it even drys spackle fairly quick.

I've used this for about 10 hours total over the last two weeks. The heating element continues to work, however the oscillating mechanism has begun rattling whenever it is used. Annoying.
