The pergola looks great and the adjustable fins work well. Assembly is difficult, but worth it.

Great looking, easy to install with 3 people. We would have had it up 45 minutes sooner had we “followed the steps” and not jumped ahead thinking we knew best. Recommend you have a battery drill with proper size Allen wrench. In fact it is a must. Glad we made the purchase.

Very well made addition to our back yard. This pergola provides the perfect amount of shade and allows just enough sun to filter through.It was fairly easy to assemble, and if you've done BBQ grill assembly, this will be no problem. I did it alone with the exception of 10 minutes to screw the two halves together. Otherwise, it took me about 4 hours. Use a drill with an Allen bit in it. Saves so much time.Fools everybody that it's aluminum until we tell them. Great product.

I’m torn between rating this as a 4 or a 5. The quality is very nice and the wood finished aluminum is excellent. The canopy is a very durable material ---- I am assuming that it will last along time in our southwest climate and sun. In contrast to the redwood deck to which this was installed, I will never need to refinish the pergola. I got to assemble this twice since our homeowners’ association didn’t approve of the initial installation site. It does take a while to assemble and raising the frame takes 3 people. The second time around went much faster. Using the enclosed allen wrench is not adequate since there are numerous allen bolts to tighten. Having a ratcheting socket wrench with appropriate allen head or cordless power drill/driver is desirable. Also, some of the holes did not seem to be adequately tapped at factory, so starting some bolts and screws was difficult. That aside, it looks really nice and the quality is very good. Would recommend, but plan for some time assembling. The directions were excellent, however.

Pergola was easy to install and build. Does take a little bit of strength to hold things up. Only draw back was the gusset braces were tight to install. I broke one of the internally welded nuts. No way to back out the fastener.

It's hard to say if I would recommend this product. In the end, it does look pretty nice. So for that I am thankful. However, we had SO many issues with assembling it, and my husband is very handy. Within the first 10 minutes we realized that we were missing a support brace. We called customer service and they were great- they sent us the part right away. However, that meant a 4-5 delay in starting the project. When it arrived, we started working on it again and came to find that a lot of the holes would not line up. Some we could force with a mallet. However, a few pieces we ended up actually having to cut the metal to make them line up and come together. Then we realized we were also missing a packet of "loops" which slide the canopy open and closed. Another call to customer service and another 4-5 day wait. We started working on it again and yet came across another problem...the screws that would hold the poles together wouldn't go in. Well, about half of them would. The other half, the threads were stripped. We called customer service yet again, and they said that we didnt really need to screw them together. The poles go through the pockets in the canopy, so it's not necessary for them to be held together. Well, each spot where the poles come together, there is a gap in the sleeve/pocket of the canopy, so all of these joints are exposed. So I wouldn't be surprised if they wiggle loose over time. Lastly, we thought we were all done. We go to slide the canopy across to provide shade. Well, there are no magnets on the other side to hold the canopy in place. Well, there are but they are on the WRONG SIDE of the beam. And no, this was not an issue with how we put it together. The beam had to face this way because of how everything else was connected. So in the end, it looks nice, but the quality is horrible, and it was such a pain to assemble. It took us way longer than it should have. And now that it's getting hot, I don't even feel like the shade is that good.

Manufacturer’s defects have stalled assembly and installation.

There were pieces missing and it took over 3 weeks to get the replacement pieces. Customer service (through Home Depot) was slow to respond. Once I contacted Paragon direct, it went a little quicker. Once we received the pieces and began to assemble, we discovered that some of the pieces were not predrilled and some were configured backwards. My professional installer "made it work" and now that it is installed, it looks great but was quite a hassle to get to that point. My installer charged me for the extra trips and the extra work to correct the issues.

Very sturdy especially for the size of 11x16.5. It appears to be really pretty water proof as I have to push up to empty the cover when it rains and it collects in the scallops. I wish it had a side curtain option for attachment as it does not block the sun from the side

Beautiful product. clear instructions, however look over the parts carefully. With the dark color it is easy to miss flaws. We had it all put together when we noticed two of the posts had dents in them. I am going to take a picture and report it to Home Depot. But as I said, you won't be disappointed in how it looks.

I'm VERY disappointed. Had I known beforehand I would not have purchased this. The "Convertible roof canopy" is not a waterproof piece of material. There's a million holes in it like a mesh so even when it drizzles you get WET underneath it. Had they mentioned that in the description I would have bought something else. It's too late to return it because I already have it assembled & I'm not taking it down. I didn't notice until I had the "Convertible roof canopy" almost all the way up. I guess the cryptic quote in the description "Perfect for star gazing in the evening too" means the canopy has holes & you're going to get wet if it rains. Who knew?.... Very disappointed, $1500 for a pergola that offers ZERO shelter from the rain or even a drizzle. "Perfect for star gazing"? How stupid....if I want to see the stars, I'll open the canopy! It is a convertible. Very disappointed.

The Paragon pergola went fairly up fairly easily with clear instructions. Looks really great.

Need 3 to assemble. Pay close attention to instructions - do not tighten until everything is in place. Steel bolts can easily strip aluminum threads. I hope sun’s UV rays won’t damage faux wood finish

High quality Pergola. I am impressed with the quality, the instructions, no disappointments at all. I contacted Customer Service, Tammy. EXTREMELY helpful and was quick to resolve my issue. The issue was that I assembled the columns to cross beams incorrectly. HIGHLY recommend this Pergola for your outdoor living space.

Tried to assemble it, it was missing major parts and material was bad quality. So disappointing. I returned it.

Very happy with it. Stands up to wind very well.

Was straight forward to assemble. Looks great! Our friends all commented how great it looks. Shade helps make the patio usable during midday sun.

Excellent product!

The assembly instructions are not clear and there were additional parts in the box not listed in the manual.

Not what I expected- which I could return it but it was such a hassle assembling it, not up to the return process ugh.

Canopy had small flawes in it.Not all bolts included.
