My project involved installing two gates in opposite sides of about 100 ft of Peak Aluminum Railing placed a retaining wall. Although the hardware included with the posts would have been very appropriate for mounting on a wooden deck, since I was installing on stone I used Tapcons instead. Made for a very sturdy mounting. Fence panel assembly was pretty straight forward. I had to cut a number of pieces to fit angles. The project would have been a real work out if I used a hacksaw as shown in the instructions. I recommend using a power miter saw with suitable blade instead. The instructions offered on the gate packaging are pretty weak. However the gate itself was well constructed and installed without any real problem. One consideration, the post to which the gate will be mounted won't have any dimples indicating where you will need to drill pilot holes for the hinge bolts. I used a 48" level placed on edge to support the gate while locating the hinges. A 2x4 ripped to height ensuring the upper edge of the gate is level with the railing panels might have been better. After marking where the holes needed to be drilled I used a center punch to keep the drill from walking on the powder coating. Attaching the latch to the gate was easier, since drill points are already dimpled.

The quality of the product is excellent

This railing is very easy to install and looks great. It takes less than 20 minutes to build one section with glass. I am very happy with the product. They are also packed very well so there was no damage at all to any of the glass, rails or posts that I bought. I did my entire deck (700 sq feet) for just under $4,000. I got two estimated from contractors and both were over $10,000.

I used the design system at peakproducts.com and received a complete material list. This was very helpful!!! My wife and I installed this product in a reasonable amount of time. We are far from professional installers. The project finished very nicely and railing system looks and feels fantastic. We are very impressed with the quality of the railing system and the simplicity of installation. I installed white Peak rails, a couple of tinted glass panel kits in combination with black wide pickets, and the decorative spacers between wood porch posts using the wall brackets. Pretty mooth job when you follow the directions. Looks great! Maintenance free. Several compliments from neighbors.

Well built if you can find it on clearance ($94, not full price ($214). The whole Peak railing system is well built and looks great with the tinted glass panels. Hope it lasts as long as my composite deck.

Had a balcony view that felt like jail whenever sitting down and trying to look through thick builder installed railing. Didn't know this system existed until I found on HD .com. Ordered it and installed about 22 ft. in a weekend. I'm pretty good with DIY projects and this system was fairly simple. It is sturdier than the railing that was up there. Only issue I had was installing system between two walls. The last piece gets a little tricky. Thats the only reason I give it less than 5 star. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a better view.

This came out great... My wife really loves it... We went unconventional and put it inside instead of outside.

The product itself is nice but .....the installation method and instructions are awful! The video isn't much better and isn't totally consistent with written instructions. Detail for the trickiest steps is not included in either the video or written instructions. Since pieces are falling all over the place during assembly touch-up paint should be included. Picket gaskets fell out when unpacking. I didn't know if they were a packing material or served a function. There is no reference to picket gaskets in instructions. I utilized manufacturer website chat to ask what the plastic piece is for and was told it's a picket gasket that gets removed if using glass panels. I was never given an explanation as to what a picket gasket is for.

a lot easier to put together than I thought. Expensive but well worth doing it yourself.

good product installed easily

I am very pleased with the quality and appearance of the Peak rail system. I’ve had it installed for about a month now. The installation is very exacting and the Peak install instructions must be followed EXACTLY, especially when installing the stair railing! Unfortunately for me, I had to install the handrail between the existing deck posts, so I had to assembly the rail section completely, before setting it between the posts. There are no instructions for this scenario, so through trial and error, I found that I could use two ratchet straps to get the spindles to snap into the top and bottom rail sections, before installation. Getting the all the spindles at once to snap into the railing is extremely difficult to do, I ruined a $70 section of railing by using a rubber hammer in an attempt to get them to snap in, so don’t make that costly mistake! Also it’s very difficult to determine when the spindles have fully snapped in, but I found that if you have a 35.75” measurement between the bottom of the top rail, and the top of the bottom rail, then your spindles are completely bottomed and fully snapped in. If the instructions would have deluged this critical measurement, I wouldn’t have ruined that $70.00 section of railing.

I liked the finished look of the Peak railing system. Most stores don't carry it in my area, so I had to drive 1 hour to a store that had all the pieces I needed. It is pricey, especially for glass panels. Expect to spend several thousand dollars for a good sized deck with glass, gate, stairs etc. You also can't use the glass panels for a handicap ramp, so have to custom cut a stair post kit with pickets. Another complaint is that there is no easy way to put a piece of decking attached to the top rail so that people can rest a drink on it. The railing is sturdy, but thin, so nowhere to rest a cup. They also don't really advertise the accessories that are offered, like the bottom post caps that hide the screws, or the Multi-color LED strip/tape lights that are sold as a kit, but hard to find at HD. All in all, it turned out well. Read all the reviews before you commit, and have a good list of materials.

This is an excellent product and Peak customer service is the best. They helped me determine exactly what was needed to complete our loft railing. Not only does it look great but it’s very sturdy.

I had to modify the rail based on Customer request. I attached the rail to the house and it worked and looks great!

Railings install easily if you follow instructions. Be careful so not to scratch the finish.

The wall mount brackets worked perfectly. I had a short two foot section of railing to install on my deck to act as a hand rail where you step down to the yard. It's solid and was easy to install. LOVE THIS RAILING!!!

Good quality materials. Quality finish. Installation instructions not the easiest to understand. Could use some work there. Product is a bit pricey, but hope time will prove it worthwhile.

Great quality, clean design and finishes the project perfectly

This connector enabled me to go down one step and turn. All of this railing is exceptional and looks very professional once installed. If you look at the picture I used it where I went from the deck to the cement.

We loved how this product turned out! Ive installed alot of railings and the only con I had was there were way too many parts involved! But looks awesome!
