Easy to install

Just installed this in our remodel and I love it. It’s a great mid-tone wood. If you purchased a sample from Pergo, just know this runs a little darker than that. I haven’t seen too many post about this one, so I figured I’d share mine as reference. All pictures were taken with sunlight only — no edits or filters.

Overall happy with product! Husband installed alone and after a few mins of confusion of the right way to snap them in he was good to go. Wouldnt reccommend using too many tools to hit pieces together, the ledges easily break. He just pulled them together really hard by hand ..

This was the first DIY project my partner and I did together and the floor looks beautiful! Ed from the flooring department was very helpful and gave us great advice!

My husband and I started off by installing this in our bedroom and loved it so much that we continued on into our hallway, family room and kitchen. We put down roughly 1100 square feet of the Java Scraped Oak Laminate flooring. It takes a bit to get started with your first few rows but once we got going it went great. It is certainly very durable. During the process we dropped hammers and other tools and it held up with no scratches or nicks. We also picked this product because we have a dog and we know it will last with her running up and down the floor. We are extremely with our choice of installing this floor. We would recommend it everyone that was looking for a solid laminate floor and a reasonable price.

this product was so easy to put down I automatically knew when it was locked in correctly shipping was awesome I had not figured in the little extra that was needed (under estimated the amount that you have to cut for ends) and it was delivered right to my door in hours !

We just installed this floor a little under a year ago. I pulled the area rugs up to mop and the floor is discolored where the rugs were. It looks lighter and dull No direct light hits it. This is horrible quality flooring. I am beyond upset.

I put laminate flooring in 13 years ago and it has been beautiful and invincible so I jumped on 1300 sqft of this thinking well pergo and more expensive...what did I get? 1) A night mare to install (Plenty of Damage) 2) Not Durable at all. Everything the slides over it scratches in to it and of course the base material is Light color contrasts easily with the Dark surface. Yeah I did most of my house in this including my stairs. I'm Doomed! Please Take your sample pc home and do to it what you expect to do in real life. try sliding felt padded furniture and scratching it..Uggg

We bought the auburn scraped oak color. It is certainly beautiful and I was very happy with it for the first year. however after about a year a couple corners started poking up. This is *not* buckling due to poor installation. Plenty of expansion space was left around the walls and the floor was installed properly. You can tell it is not "peaking" due to limited expansion space because the whole board is not buckling. All edges of the boards are still perfectly in place. the corners that are sticking is just the top veneer layer peeling up. Regardless of the board image it is all always the same, front left corner of each board. Must be some manufacturing error- this is happening throughout a wide area, so these individual damaged boards were definitely not all from the same box. At this point maybe 30 percent of all boards are beginning to peel this way. This is a disaster, because they are starting to catch on shoes and snag socks and chip off, and more and more corners are starting to peel and there is no solution besides a full replacement! And after only two years! I would never buy this again.

I'm not sure if it is just user error or actual product quality issues but I have installed this flooring in two large bedrooms now. Have never had a problem with installation or the quality of the materials. In fact, I find these to be much higher quality then other HD brands. Holds up to 2 Siberian huskies with no issues. Snow, water, grit. No scratches no worries.

I installed 600 square foot three years ago in my business and they are not holding up well. I sweep daily and mop every week by misting water from a water bottle then quickly moping up the water. It seems that any moisture easily seeps underneath the surface through the seems. It’s caused warping and buckling and half of the panels. Reflooring my shop is inevitable And wasn’t expecting to have to reinvest in floors after just a few years. They look terrible. Seems to be good flooring, havent really had long enough to say if it will handle to our three dogs and kids. But the reason for the 2 stars is how hard it snaps together. I understand they may have done it to make a tighter seal but some pieces would not snap and damaged a couple trying to put in.

We used Pergo-Outlast-Paradise-Jatoba for whole first floor . Never use water mod to clean , no water pilled on it . Only doing vacuum . But the surface waving after 1 year as picture. This product has not good quality. We claimed for warranty and want to change to engineering wood but Homedepot not agree with that . Very disappointed about Homedepot customer care :(

Easy to put down, and beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait to do the rest of the downstairs. Doing one room at a time. We used pergo gold underpayment and was probably the best idea we ever had in a renovation. Attached pics of kitchen Reno.

Love this floor! We've had numerous houses with different types of floor and the Antique Cherry is, by far, my favorite look! So warm looking! Home Depot was so easy to work with and the installation went perfectly (used the installation services from Home Depot). They installers did a great job and were even able to undercut the fireplace stones to make a perfect fit. I love the color and texture. While this floor (Antique Cherry) has only been installed for about a month, we've had Pergo Outlast (Paradise Jatoba) installed in other rooms over the last couple of years and it holds up great. I work at home and have a desk chair with wheels, and I roll all over the Pergo in that chair and it hasn't made a scratch in three years of working everyday at that desk. This stuff is unbelievably durable! Also - there is absolutely no sound when walking on the floor - no creaks or pops - completely silent! I highly recommend this floor!

My husband and i installed in our kitchen, have had it for two months and love it! Its beautiful and easy to install. Looks real. It does show every spec of dirt and dust, i sweep a lot but we have a dog and its a high traffic area id imagine most would be okay

I didn’t listen to the reviewers that said this chips like nothing else — I really, really should have listened. $5,000 later and just one single year in, I am left with the most chipped and peeling floors ever. I am so upset and disappointed, it looks awful and looks like I have crumbs all over the floor all the time!! I have had Pergo floors before and they have held up; I didn’t think twice about going for this but god, I am so upset and bothered by the amount of time and money I lost on this. I am sure my dogs’ nails didn’t help, but it’s chipped in places where my dogs don’t even go. STAY FAR AWAY!!

We installed it in our house on our own. First we did the main living areas then the bedrooms. We love it. Great with pets and spills. We do not have any scratches at all. We have the Outlast Scraped oak finish. I love the finish.

Was a little worried with the color and my cabinets but it matched beautifully. Loved the color and how it looks very natural wood like. Very pleased with it and have had alot of compliments.

Love how easy to install this is. Once you get the hang of how they click together you fly through installation. The color is beautiful and the quality is amazing. We are loving this floor.

It was difficult to install. Wanted to bow alot in the middle. Had to use the weight of full boxes, then also stapled the ends down, staples hid under newly installed baseboards. Highland hickory was much easier to install. Love the look!

I was hesitant at first since the flooring didn’t look like the preview. After finishing the master, it looked great! Startited the livingroom, and was amazed on how real it looks! Was easy to piece together and cut by turning the boards 180 deg to measure the right length. Just becareful when finishing with a 1/2 board as it tends to stick up 1/4 inch. Trimit out and make sure it doesn’t seperate before nailing. Over all, it looks great. Will be finishing up the study and master closet. So far, it took 27 boxes for the 2 rooms. See attached pic to notice 4 differant boxes being used at each setting. Don’t use all from same boxes, mismatch each layout from the 4. Definately glad i bought it!

Absolutely beautiful and easy to install. Did whole house in 2 days. I will definitely buy this product again.

My husband and I waffled back and forth between hardwood and laminate for MONTHS before finally deciding to replace our floors with this Pergo Outlast. We chose this product because it’s waterproof, high on the hardness scale, and really resembles wood. My husband and a friend installed the (floating) floor in our kitchen, dining, and living rooms, as well as in the entryway, over the course of a weekend. The boards snap tightly together, and, when necessary, cut beautifully. We didn’t have one damaged board in 20 boxes. Because our floor was installed over existing vinyl and MDF sub-flooring with the removal of carpet, we didn’t have to buy and use a separate underlayment or vapor barrier. The color and hand-scraped finish are beautiful, the floor feels good underfoot, is solid, and doesn’t echo with the “hollow” sound I’ve always associated with laminate flooring. Since the floor was laid, our 18 month old granddaughter has dropped a big metal tape measure and innumerable toys, and none have left a mark - neither a dent nor a mark in the finish. We have four dogs, including two big ones, and the floor has withstood their raucous play, and their charging the front door when the bell is rung. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase and installation of Java Scraped Oak Pergo Outlast - and everyone who’s seen it has loved it.

Nice heavy material. Goes together easy. Seems very scratch resistant, but has only been down a week.
