Need I say any more? I believe there are a few squirrels who get at it on the sly, but perhaps our squirrels are not the descendants of Rocky...:(

Not only was this feeder NOT squirrel proof, Fat Gus trapped himself INSIDE the feeder, and I had to take it apart to rescue him. He ran off a little wobbly, with his fur pointing in every which way. I suppose you could call the feeder a squirrel deterrent because Fat Gus was so traumatized that he'll probably never return.

Squirrels have broken the plastic tubing to get to the bird seed. Will be returning. Didn't even have it a month...

The squirrels have written me a lovely Thank You note.

Good for Finches and Wrens, Cardinals not adapting.

Great easy to use feeder. Large enough to feed everyone!

These feeders are simple, inexpensive and east to fill, disassemble and clean. Birds and squirrels have easy access without damaging them (everybody has to to eat) though sometimes a squirrel will twist off the lid and dive in head first. That can be avoided by slightly bending the wire side loops inward a bit. I've bought these before. Previous ones were damaged by raccoons unhooking and dropping them, or black bears pulling them down and crushing them, so now I take them in at night. Sometimes when dropped the plastic tubes would telescope and split and I'd have to glue them back together, or maybe build a Frankenstein from the good pieces of old ones. The new ones seem have thicker plastic tubes which should better survive mistreatment though I could do without the "gold leaf" artwork.

This squirrel stumper / resistant feeder has been loved deeply by all the birds and especially Jumpy the squirrel. Y'all need to rename it!

Our auto-trained Cirque de Soleil squirrel love this training device. They always come to eat all the food in our "bird" feeder. Excellent squirrel feeder. Just put it in your backyard to attract, and train your future acrobat squirrel. They only need YOU to buy this feeder for them to become the next generation of Cirque de Soleil ninja squirrel. PS. it also attracts birds :)

It is very difficult to open the top of the feeder to refill. Definitely not squirrel proof as I am now watching a squirrel hang upside down on the feeder eating seed while also tossing seed down to the other squirrel underneath the feeder. Makes for an entertaining view, though.

Highly trained Ninjas squrrels have attacked my feeder. Unfortunately Squirrel guard on feeder didn't stand a chance.

Unfortunately, this unit does not slow the squirrels down at all. They laugh at me!!

This appears to be a nice, high quality bird feeder. HOWEVER, a small bird in our backyard got it's head stuck in the wire frame while reaching for the hole in the plastic tube where the bird seed is. Luckily I saw this happen. I had to take the bird feeder down, and ultimately after about 10 min of work I was able to move the plastic tube just enough to let up on the bird's neck and it flew away. Very scary! Very disappointed in this bird feeder and will be throwing it away.

Squirrels love it see the picture. Wouldn't recommend.

As a feeder, it does the job. It does NOT stop squirrels from eating the seeds.

Please see this picture and advocate for these feeders to be recalled.

This is a great feeder! Holds lots of seed and the birds love it - so do the squirrels and chipmunks. It is not squirrel or chipmunk proof! Fortunately, I enjoy watching them along with the birds.

Love it and the Birds do too Not the squirrels

This bird feeder is super easy to fill, and the birds love it and swarm all over it! The squirrel dropped down from the branches above, but couldn't eat from the feeder. He can only pick up the scraps from the ground. We loved it so much, we bought a second Perky-Pet Squirrel Stumper!

The good thing is that it keeps the squirrels and the chipmunks from eating the food. They haven’t been able to get at the plastic. The small birds love it. The larger birds have a problem perching they trend to fall off.

We got this to replace our old one that was not squirrel proof because the squirrels literally broke into it and then it fell and broke. I have yet to see a bird be able to feed on this one. Squirrels are attaching themselves to it with their claws and hanging out upside down eating all the bird seed!

This appears that it would be squirrel proof with the metal cage but they learned to use there feet to pull out the food.

Within five minutes of putting this feeder up there was a squirrel happily stuffing himself from it.

I bought this Perky Pet Squirrel Stumper Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder several weeks ago to replace a hopper feeder that the squirrels could tip to the side, dumping the whole load. This feeder does stop the squirrels from dumping the whole load, but they are still able to hang from the feeder and get at the seeds with no trouble. (See attached image.) This product does not meet my expectations for "Squirrel Proof".

Second time buying. It’s not squirrel proof, but at least they don’t destroy as bad as previous ones. Lots of perches for birds. I have a male cardinal who’s pooped on top a couple of times, but hey - he’s a cardinal. All others respect and enjoy the feeder.

I really love the look of this bird feeder and the birds love it, too! But, so do the squirrels. I caught 2 squirrels on the bird feed and one beneath it at the same time. The three guys were feasting on the bird seeds. I can't say I mind, I love squirrels, but the birds need their fair chance at the seeds too. This is branded as a squirrel proof feeder, but I'm finding that's not the case. Regardless, I love this feeder and so does the wildlife. It has a very nice capacity and the seeds last about 2 weeks after filling it to the top, even with the squirrels eating it. I like that I don't have to refill it too often thanks to the large capacity. It is easy to clean as well with a mild solution. I do this before re-filling the feeder and let it dry in the sun before refilling it. This is a great value for money and has added so much joy to my garden. The cardinals love the seeds I've been filling it up with.
