These bulbs are functional to say the least. they are bright as well easy to install. BUT don't be fooled by the 21.9 yr life expectancy of these bulbs based on 3 hr usage a day. I use these bulbs in my garage and it's on a auto on/auto off light switch. The most these bulbs see is about 1-2 hrs a day if that. With all that said, like other reviewers, these bulbs last 6-12 months at best. REALLY?!?! there's no way anyone is even coming close to a 22 yr life out of these bulbs. I understand that it's tested in a controlled environment but I can almost guarantee most people are getting under 5 years. And in my case 6-12 mo with minimal usage. Absolutely horrible. Who wants to change bulbs for the rest of their life......

The lights were installed In old light fixtures I had. They are being used to grow seedlings for the garden. The plants are very happy!

These light are super bright and perfect for a kitchen or any room where you want bright light. I installed them in my kitchen because that is where I drink my morning caffeine and they help me get going when it's still dark outside. I would not like the daylight ones in any room where you just want to hang out and relax because they are so bright.

My husband and I live in an apartment and our kitchen light started to flicker. We decided that we needed a replacement for this light. We bought a pack of two a few days ago. These lights are very easy to assemble and replace. They're also lightweight but very bright. There were several different packs of product in each individual packaging at the store. Since we just needed two, we bought the two pack one. I am very pleased with these lights because they were easy to find in the store. The light itself is white and it shines like a bright milky white color, which brightens my whole kitchen while I am cooking or baking. The price is quite decent too. Even a newbie can replace these lights, that's how easy it is to use them. The packaging was easy to open too. These lights are so much better than those yellow lights that you see in/around houses. I'd definitely recommend these to everyone.

It was cheap, but only last for about 4 to 6 months.

These bulbs are just what the wife and I need in the new light fixture we installed in our kitchen. Just the right amount and 'type' of light.

This product is long lasting and dependable especially in areas where light is a must. They are economical in price compared to length of service. I use this product in my home in the kitchen and workshop. Very pleased with performance and service of this product.

These tubes provide bright light at a low purchase price. They are most efficient as well.

With so many fixtures I replacing bulbs once in a while and just purchased another 10pk. I have always used this type of bulb in my twelve 4ft. fixtures in my basement and garage. Life of these have been good in the past. Many of these are on 10 hours a day. Lasting 3 to 6+ years.

Bought these lights to replace some dingy old daylight color bulbs. A nice pleasant color with great light output.

Bought these to replace our two bulb fixture in the kitchen. We REALLY like them compared to what we always had. I suspect our kitchen always had cool white, which just seemed harsh (my wife said it used to feel like a hospital). These are much warmer. Granted, is it the 98 CRI LEDs like I have elsewhere in the house? Nope. It does have the artificial feel of fluorescent, but since I'm not re-wiring the ballast or replacing the fixture, this was a great compromise at present. Go with the soft white for your kitchen, you won't be disappointed.

Great bulb and seems to last quite a long time. Happy with the light. Sometimes those pin ends can be a little tricky to install. Usually you have to get the pins aligned in the socket just right, and then give the whole bulb a 90 degree twist to get the pins locked in properly.

Phillips T12 40-Watt Cool Supreme Linear Fluorescent ALTO Light Bulbs I purchase the 2-Pack are so easy to install, the soft white lighting is nice to stand under while doing laundry and makes it so easy to find everything I'm looking for in my basement.I love these bulbs, I never purchase any other brands. I have had this one now up 2 months after replacing the last one for over 2 years, exactly the same type..This product highly meets my expectations. As you can see in my submitted photo especially hanging in the dark places of my home like my basement, Jesus likes it up there too for me. When you buy linear fluorescents as these you might want to consider the "color" of light it puts out. Cool White (4100K) is bright white. If you have a workshop you might like these. If you need some for your office you might consider a Soft White (3000K) which are not as bright white but a little more amber and easier on the eyes.

As long as business and residential are using the old tech T12, it is nice to see the quality is excellent.

These bulbs are brighter than the 40-Watt bulbs they replaced. Using a ladder, the installation was easy.

This light bulb is the best I have found for quality of light for money spent. Very consistent output and fast start up. We use them in a office that has four bulb fixtures mounted in a 10' drop ceiling. They provide a uniform light throughout the work area.
