This is a great bulb if you need an LED light bulb that is super bright. It is also nice that the light bulb is bright white as I use it outside to light up the garage. I also have the same light bulb in warm white too. As you can see from the pictures the difference between the bright white bulb and this one in warm light is pretty stark. One note is that these light bulbs are a bit bigger than the normal 40-100 watt bulbs so they won’t be good if you need to fit them in tight spots.

The light bulbs are great and a little bit on the heavy side. They light up the entire room with a natural daylight effect. I especially like the lack of heat produced like all LED's, but I thought maybe with this light output on this bulb it would be a little warmer to touch. Nope. I highly recommend. These definitely fit the bill. I am very happy with them.

Pros Easy Installation, Easy Replacement, Great Dimming, Very Bright

I installed this on an outdoor light fixture under a covered porch. The instructions say it should not get wet, and I don't think it will in this location. The amount of illumination produced by this bulb is incredible. It brightens not only the entire porch area, but the light extends all the way to the street and across the entire front yard. This particular fixture is supposed to stay dim at night and brighten if motion is detected. So far it's doing it's job. It's much brighter than the clear bulb I had there. I definitely recommend the "daylight" version, if you're after brightness. Oh, and lastly these bulbs are much larger than regular light bulbs so be sure to check your measurements before you buy.

Pros Easy Installation, Easy Replacement, Easy to Use, Eco-Friendly, Great Dimming, Motion-Activated, Very Bright

If you are looking for a really bright LED then this is your bulb. At 2610 lumen it as bright as an old 150 watt incandescent except it only uses 29 watts. Add to this the ability to dim and this would be great for anyone wanting to go from a soft reading light to an ultra bright light up the entire room light source. Unlike other LEDs this one was loosely placed in the product box, maybe because the dome is plastic. I was surprised the mating of the dome to the base left a rough edge with some dark lines. Of course once installed no one will ever notice but the sloppy finish was disappointing coming from Philips. Note this is an A21 bulb vs most A19, which means the bulb is wider and taller, definitely not for a small desk lamp. The screw base is E26 same as the A19. The product packaging warns against use in "totally enclosed or recessed luminaries", probably to heat build up. The bulb did get slightly warm to the touch. I installed it on a table lamp and it lit a 377 sq foot living room with enough light to read by at the far end. The light was very white and even in all directions. Of course all the brightness comes with a price, it won't last as long as an 18 watt LED putting out 2000 lumen. The box states only a 3 year warranty vs longer warranty for smaller bulbs. Still it should last about a decade in normal use. I noticed no hum or flickering during operation. I was not able to test dimming function as none of my fixtures have a dimmer. If you are looking for a dimmable light that can throw a lot of light in all directions, and your fixture can handle the larger and heavier bulb then this Philip bulb is for you. If you still have old incandescent this will save you money in the long term and won't add as much heat thus additional savings on cooling.

Pros Easy Installation, Eco-Friendly, Very Bright, dimming, no humming, flicker free, e26 medium base Cons larger then a19, poor finishing, 3 yr warranty

This light is almost too bright. It's a very white light, no yellow in it at all, they way an incandescent light would look. It seems significantly brighter than an incandescent 150W bulb is, which may be a part of its light signature. The LED bulb's appearance is 5000K, vs 2700K or so for a "soft white" incandescent bulb. In my bedroom, I can certainly read at night, but I'll pick a warmer color and probably 125W bulb next time.
