We needed a door to fit a small space where we had too many other doors - if that makes sense. This one was perfect. It added a nice touch to our home and works great. Nice quality, glides smoothly. Received several compliments on it. My dad put it together but had no complaints.

This is a great option to a real wood door. The pvc is really easy to clean and keep in great shape. The door looks great off of my living going to the back of the house. The install for the track I just bought a 1x3x8 that was primed and ready to install. This is the exact length on the track system so it saved allot of tike and I didn't need to do any painting. I would say it took way longer to put the door together than the track system install, so be ready for that. I would highly recommend.

We installed this in our master suite between the bedroom and bath. It’s nice and light, easy to open and shut. As it’s vinyl with a hollow center it wouldn’t provide good soundproofing compared to solid wood. We bought a separate handle than what came with it. I can’t speak to the ease of installation as we had Home Depot install it (highly recommend!)

This barn door looks beautiful as our pantry door. Great price, but make sure you read instructions and watch video to put together. Took our contractor most of the day to put together.

Not only was this a pain to put together but since my purchase, the price has increased by $40.00 in less than a month... After I purchased this barn door and had it installed, I purchased a different one from Home Depot's competitor. The competitor's door was one piece and did not require any extra work to put it together plus the price was comparable. Both doors came with hardware, which is a good thing.

I absolutely love it! We had to install it on a mounting board. I'm using it in my bedroom to cover the closet area and bathroom.

Good quality door, plastic material makes it light & easy to wipe, which is key since it seals off a kitchen & is white. 42” Track is long, so room to access a light switch nest to opening when door is open/closed. Must be assembled, comes in separate planks. I mounted to 3/4 header board, which leaves 1.5” gap between door and molding when closed. Direct to studs would produce smaller gap.

Love it! It's beautiful! We did not put it together or install it, had it professionally done so I can't speak to that. But we love it.

Not the easiest to assemble. Instructions are hard to follow. I like the end product look.

This is a BEAUTIFUL door and it adds privacy and character to the room. I had a professional assemble and hang the door and it took a little longer than expected. Please be aware that you must purchase the piece of wood that the track hinges on if you’re not attaching it directly to the wall. Otherwise this was a great purchase.

This barn door was easy to install. Putting it together took some studying of the plans but we were able to successfully accomplish that task in about 2 hours. For us it was well worth the price and time to assemble.

Looks great but was difficult to put together. It slides really nice. My husband added a board under the track and we were able to leave up the trim. There is a small gap when the door is closed and it doesn’t lock...however, it doesn’t bother us.

NOTE: This door is shipped UNNASEMBLED! (Assembly of about 50 parts!). I knew this but preferred KD so I can pick up at store. The 1st 2 parts took 1-1/2 hrs to assemble! It was at that time that I discovered that it was UPSIDE DOWN so I had to dissasemble and re-do... The balance of the door took about 4 hrs. As usual, READ TWICE/Assemble Once! Amazingly, for a PLASTIC door, it looked fabulous! Nice fit and finish! Once the door is assembled then it needs to be hung... 99% of the installations will REQUIRE A BACKER BOARD "Not Included" (I used a 1x4x8, cut to about 7'... many us a 1x6). At this point its all about screwing into wall studs and getting everything LEVEL! Wall assembly took about 1 hr. + board painting time. Besides the backer board, I also had to purchase better sized wall screw and lag bolts. If you are looking for a value priced barn door, don't mind many parts, but demand a great looking door, then THIS COULD BE THE ONE! .. Oh, I forgot, 1 More thing... The Wife is HAPPY! :)

Directions were not very helpful. Luckily I found a video online that helped. Otherwise, the door looks very nice and seems to be very durable.

The product does not come with a trim board but we added it. The door is quality and looks amazing in my home. I love it.

The door looks awesome!!! Assembling the door was not as simple as it looked in the video. 2 Pcs. For the door were broken in shipping. The instructions did not include a number to contact for replacements. The top cross and middle cross panel were damaged.

I used this to replace the standard door to our basement that opened into our hallway. This worked great! Assembling the door itself does take some time to start, I made a few mistakes trying to rush it. So don't! The hardware is good quality. I recommend having a mounting board for it. I had assumed that I could line up studs but that is not possible. And believe me you want something sturdy to mount this to. Hardware is nice, door looks great and slides very easily. For the price point you can't go wrong with this one. Note that I bought a separate wall mount door glide instead of using the supplied floor mount one. I just did not want to drill holes into our tile floor.

We ordered online, and the pickup process at the store went smooth. We had to open up the package at the store because the size was no where near the size of a real door, and surprise! The door has to be assembled also, We were kidding around that the door has been made to tailor to the 'Lego Generation'. My skillful brother in law did the installation, and a few more things had to be done. First there needed to be a header created out of wood (separate purchase), due to the mounting points not being inline with wall joists. Next, there was quite a bit of leftover hardware (mounting, etc.) due to not using some of the securing bracing, one of which would necessitate jack hammering into our floor. All in all, it looks good now it's finished, but it's not an all included type of kit, you will need to add more items depending on your environment.

I bought this door mainly by the reviews I read. The price was comparable if not cheaper than most other barn doors you'll see online. It's comes with all the hardware, which to my surprise is heavy duty and with the door being vinyl, it's lightweight but really sturdy. Needed something between for opening between master bedroom and bathroom. This definitely did the job! Best advice - Take your time and watch the instructional video on you tube while putting together. Instructions are good and everything is labeled. Overall, pretty simple to put together and easy to hang. Looks great and love the vinyl - no maintenance. It's recommended that you install a mounting board for the rail, but if you find the studs (stud finder) in the wall then the pre-drilled holes line up just right. I went back n forth on this because I kinda thought it would look nicer with the mounting board, but was very satisfied with the end result.
