After we completed the construction of our 117 square foot pottery studio in our Arizona back yard, we needed to install heat and air conditioning. After much research, we chose this unit. Reviews were great on it, we found it manufactured with quality components and looked fantastic when installed. With the AC on, it puts out very cold air and when we switched to heat, the warm air was very nice. Loved it. Appearance after installation was great. Very Quiet! Hire a AC tech to install it !

This unit was delivered promptly and was very easy to install ,great directions.I highly recommend the Pioneer 24,000 BTU unit!! We have installed one in our upstairs and downstairs and we are very impressed!!!I would definitely buy again.

I've travelled to many tropical countries in Asia, the mini splits are mostly Pioneer and they always worked well. I am a capable diy'r with strong technical skills, my family member is an electrician. After a $150 vacuum pump and a few youtube vids this thing was a cakewalk to install professionally. The Pioneer website provides extremely good tech support via chat. This is one of my best purchases and has saved me thousands of dollars.

We put this in the smoking loung of our cigar store. The room is 550sq ft and it works awesome!! Easy to program, easy to control. Still need to connect it to WiFi. We purchased it from here but had a local HVAC company instll. Still need to finish the rest of the wall so I will update photos when finished!!

So far this mini split is performing well and the build quality is great. My only negative feedback is that the installation guide could use more detail- it seemed to leave some key details out. I'd rather it be twice as long but not leave me guessing. I had hoped to install this completely by myself but had to call in a professional for the final few steps.

I installed this myself, over a period of three days. Everything went very well, installation was a breeze. Installation was in a 39 foot 5th wheel trailer. With an outside temp of 81 degrees and a 72 degree setting on automatic, the unit only pulls 6 amps, so it should prove to be very economical. Cooling RV's with the 15000 BTU roof units is horribly inefficient and this is the answer:-) The 24 DB interior sound level on this is incredible as you can hardly hear it in operation

I have a finished (8' ceiling), insulated (Including the 16' garage door small 20x20 garage that I do a lot of work in. I was looking for a unit that would be relatively economical to operate, operate on 110/115 hose currant so I wouldn't have to drop an expensive 220 line and keep me reasonable cool & dry in the Saint Louis summer and warm in the summer. I installed this unit myself, only one hole has to be drilled into the wall on either end of the unit (Actually behind the unit so you don't see it). Very straight forward install. I DID have a HVAC guy come out and sign off on my install for warranty purposes. I installed this 18 months ago, so two summers and now going on my second winter. I love this thing! In the summer I set it at 79-82 and it keeps the garage DRY. I can go cooler if needed. For the winter I wish the temperature would go down to say the middle 40's instead of 62. However, since the temp reads close to the ceiling, 62 is actually about 54-56 at people level. The ONLY issue: When it gets really cold, single numbers and below it's my understanding you need to shut the system down so it doesn't freeze up. I run my portable Buddy propane heater on a 20 pound tank usually on low (4000BTU) that keeps the garage in the middle to low 40's. Overall a GREAT unit for 400 square feet

This was my first mini split install. Watched several you tube videos, so it went pretty well. Had the lines cut and flared, system vacuumed by a friend who is a HVAC guy. Now this system works great. Cools our house to a comfortable temp just on low. Definitely would recommend.

This unit delivers as advertised. It is exceptionally quiet. This is the 2nd Pioneer mini split I have installed with no problems in shipping or installation. I highly recommend it.

This Pioneer Mini-Vac is outstanding! We installed it in our pottery studio in our back yard and it works perfectly. Though it's listed as a DIY, if you go that route, make sure you know exactly what you are doing. We chose to have it professionally installed. It immediately puts out COLD out when requested and when shifted over for HOT air, it works now. We love it. Take your time and do it right! Highly recommended. 5 Stars

Dollar for dollar best product in this price range , great unit

It works well for both heat and ac. I hired my ac contractor for the installation, which took a couple of hours and went well. I am happy with this unit.

So far product has done what it should! Works perfect.

Did not expect the need to buy a vacuum pump system Other than that, it is work well, the real proof will be when colder weather comes around again

I’m a landlord and a happy renter stays one that pays less in utilities have money for rent. For almost 5 years I quit putting in new heating and air systems. The epa reg made them so expensive that it wasn’t worth $10-15k every 10-15years when renters don’t take care or them. Then I found pioneer mini splits. I know a heating and air guy that will just vacuum out air lines check for leaks and let in freon for $200 it takes him a hour. I do the rest of the installation. The last I got 5 now.

I gave it 5 stars because it came undamaged and so far it is working fine.(Its been in operation for only one month so far) I would like to give it 6 months to a year of operating and see how it works then to see if it does deserve a 5 star rating.

There should be a better way to bend the tubing.

Best money ever spent works excellent.Do yourself a favor and get this unit if you’re in Midwest cold weather states this heat pump unit uses little power and heats great.

I installed this unit on a well insulated 30x40 garage with 10’ walls. It does a very nice job keeping it comfortable even in 20 degree temperatures. It was actually cheaper to get the inverter++ model with the 300 dollar rebate from my power company they offer for th high seer rating so that is something to check into before buying. The unit is pretty easy to install, the hardest part is running the line set. I used the pioneer kit that uses the plastic inserts for bending to avoid kinks. Make sure to get the 4” wide trim kit, it will not fit in the 3” kit.
