It's massive actual 46 inches long, 17 inches wide, 12 inches tall with walls 2 1/2 inches thick. makes it look very strong, yet it is light and easy to move by yourself when empty. It will take some very big and tall plants to offset its size. Since the material can be painted you let your imagination run wild with different themes. you can fill the whole thing with dirt or you could put a false bottom in and put individual pots in to make it interchangeable. there are three large holes in the bottom for drainage. The name says Urban Bronze but it just looks black to me. I already reviewed the Grey trough and mentioned that it was a bit pricey

These are great troughs, very light weight, but very strong and nicely made. I have two of these and will be buying more. They are made in America and built to last. Plus, they come in one piece with nothing to put together. This is very large, 46 inches long. This one will hold my herbs, garlic and regular chives, which I grow year round - even here in Washington. So far, I’m very impressed with these troughs and I’m ready to fill them with soil now to make sure the manure fertilizer I use doesn’t burn the herbs I plan on planting in the Spring. I’m getting them ready now. The drainage holes are in the center, so they need to be leveled, but in my opinion, they look nicer leveled anyway. What a great find. I like the look, the quality, the large size, the light weight, and am happy to have a place to do a small amount of easy gardening. And, no moles can dig up my plants. These troughs can be used for flowers, herbs, vegetables, or really any kind of plant. I am very pleased with this planting trough.

The planter looks like a real stone concrete planter yet before filling is easy to move around to put it where you want. The company says the planter is PolyStone, a proprietary material however the listing says polyurethane. Whatever it is it looks great and sturdy. The planter is double layered to help regulate the temperature of the soil. That should help in our hot summer temperatures in the South. There are large drain holes in the bottom. I have not filled my planter yet but expect to layer the planter with drainage stones then a good quality planter soil for a nice garden for my plants.

I am very pleased with the planter. Please know it is quite large. This is what I wanted for my pool area. I did not want to go with any stone, ceramic or concrete given the size of this planter and the fact that I live in CT where things freeze in the winter. I put a good amount of coir (coconut fiber) in the bottom of the planter. This help to not make the planter to heavy and aids in drainage. The coloration on this planter is very consistent. It is truly as close to a stucco look on concrete as you can get without the real thing(which I cannot do in CT due to freezing). I plan to get many years of services out of this great looking and well constructed planter.

I'ts massive actual 46 inches long, 17 inches wide, 12 inches tall, with walls 2 1/2" thick. won't have to worry about it blowing away. Makes it look strong, will have to plant something large and striking in it. (not a couple of panseys), since the material can be painted you can let your imagination run wild. There are three drainage holes in the bottom so can fill it with soil and not have to worry about rot, or you could put a false bottom in to set individual pots in for a variety of different themes that are interchangable. Allthough I think they are just beautiful as a do it yourself kind of guy I would have a hard time paying $355 for it.(I sneaked a peek at the price)

The size and depth of this planter is a sweet spot, in my opinion. It is big enough that it looks substantial, but no so big that it over powers our space. It is sturdy and seems like it will hold up well to the weather and to being loaded up with dirt and plants. It has adequate drain holes and they thoughtfully ran channels through the underside of the planter allowing water to drain, not pool, from under the planter. The finish is well done and the bronze color is nice, though I’d call it more a rubbed oil, brown than a metallic bronze. Still, I think it looks really good.

This is a wonderful planter, but I was worried that the drainage holes would plug up without rock to semi-block them. The thing is the drainage holes are large and I had no rock big enough size to keep the soil in and let it drain. I got some pots to put in the planter that had smaller holes and the rock that I had would not fall through those holes. These pots are hidden except from a top view and when the plants (not planted yet for fear of frost on new plants) grow, the top view will be of the plants leaves and flowers.

Yet another beautiful planter from this supplier. It is very substantial with very large drainage holes. I greatly appreciate that it is weather resistant over a very wide range of temperatures. I understand that it can be painted if ever needed. It has a large capacity yet it is easy to move when empty. This is one of the best outdoor planters i have ever had and am extremely happy with its quality and appearance.

The finish is well done, but the color of this one is a few shades too light for our purpose, so it is likely that I will be painting it. The paperwork tells you what type of paint to use, so I am confident it will take it well.
