I bought this nailer 8/20/2010. I am an occasional user. I take meticulous care of my tools and they last me a long time I have used this nailer maybe once or twice a year. Shortly after I bought it I had intermittent firing. This was very frustrating in that I would carefully line things up and pull the trigger and nothing would happen. Then I would try again and again and it would start working for another 20 to 30 nails. This time it would only work for 5 to 7 nails at a time then quit altogether. I tried every thing and cleaned everything. Still would not work. I will take into the Greenville service center and see what they say. Right now I could not recommend POrter-Cable tools with my experience.

Lightweight and handles well

I got this tool for Christmas. We bought a house and we’re remodeling top to bottom. This nailer is lightweight. It has a comfortable grip and trigger. I really like the way the nose guard grips the surface to hold the tool in place. The adjustable air exhaust is a nice feature. It’s easy to load. But the thing I like most is it has fired 2000+ nails over 5 months without a single jam. And it fires until empty using every nail in the cartridge. I’m still waiting for a jam. I have found many uses for this nailer. I didn’t give 5 stars due to the hose must be removed from the tool in order to use the depth adjust dial and even then it is difficult to turn. And the continuous fire requires the trigger to be changed. I’ve not been able to try it because either no black trigger was packaged with my tool or it was disposed of with the packaging. All said, I am happy with my gift and I would purchase this tool. I highly recommend it to others.

Easy to work with light but steady

Light weight and easy to handle, depth adjustment easy to use, used for overhead tongue and groove installation. Will be using for wood working and DIY home remodeling projects. Porter Cable is my go-to for quality tools.

Continuously jams.

Very nice peice of equipment. Light weight can use all day without arm fatigue.

So far it is a good tool for the price.

Safety lock on trigger could be improved. Gun still fires with safety lock on. Other than that the gun works as expected.

Good tool for light trim work

Works great for temporary tacking 117 siding in place. No jamming of 21/2" nails.

Nice gun, good quality

Worked great and made the job much quicker. The directions could be a bit better but long story short it’s good to go right out of the box unless you want it setup for a bump trigger. Worked fine for as is

Best finishing nailer I’ve had

I personally love Porter Cable products. I bought this gun to replace one I had similar to it for 11 years. Well made excellent products. My only complaint is that you must use Porter Cable nails, due to the 34 degree slide tray.

I had trouble adjusting the pressure otherwise and that it works fine
