We are using them for a project for our woodshop class. They work really well with what we are doing. We are making a table and using them on the bottom of the table. We also use them on our Chest we are making . The bottom rail is put on with the nail gun. We know the project will not fall apart on our students.
Rather a lot of searches I conducted for 16g nailers before buying one stated that nails much longer than 1 in in 16g really didn't work well and tended to bend and not be driven straight.
I purchased these anyway to tack some 1/2" sheathing / plywood to 2" x 4" fir. No problems at all.
The nailer I used - also purchased from HD - a Numax finishing nailer worked flawlessly with these and also 1 in nails. Maybe I'll try out some 2 - 1/2 in and see how they work out.
