This semi-transparent stain goes on easily and has preserved my cedar split rail fence for many years. Also, the Tahoma Brown color, is a beautiful, dark, tobacco brown which complements the color of my roof shingles. I recently learned that the stain is available in a lower VOC version, which I now use. Can't wait to use the stain on my cedar pergola!

I used tahoma brown on mahagony for an exterior soffit and was pleased with the result. A half gallon covered 500 sq. ft. Some comments remarked that they did not get the coverage they expected. Note that hardwoods soak up less stain than soft woods. mahogany is a hardwood

Great color against dark green evergreens

We use this stain on everything! Deck, fence, picnic table, adirondack chairs.

Liked the color, however, it took two coats on exterior cedar siding to get there. I don't think that was a negative since I liked the wood protection the second oil-based coat added. The only negative was I could only buy the stain in one gallon cans in California. The 100 VOC Tahoma Brown does not seem to come in 5 gallon buckets.
