Cheap construction, with lightweight keys and soft metal in the cam. There are certainly better products in this class available. Unfortunately, Home Depot doesn't carry them.

Because we lost the keys to our lockable traditional mailbox, we installed this hardware. This model works fine accommodating a 90 degree rotation due to our door opening down, not left or right. And, because of the full metal keys we had extras made.

worked great. My lock was a clockwise and this was a counter clockwise so I installed it upside down

Easy to use. Removed old lock and had the new one it within 5 minutes. There are several styles available. If in doubt take the old one with you and remember which the lock turns. On to the next project.

Both keys did not function to unlock. One would not turn mechanism and locksmith had difficult time duplicating the key that did function.
