Works fine. Instructions would have been Very HELPFUL - a reminder the key stays IN the lock when it's open. Yes, I felt dense after the reminder.

I'm not that handy, so I was skeptical about installing a new mailbox lock. However, the $125 fee that a locksmith was charging convinced me that I could do it. This product made it simple, even for me!

It's a mailbox lock. It fit and the key works. Not much to glamorize.

Like several other locks that I have purchased in HomeDepot, you better not need additional keys. This is the third lock that I've bought there that they don't make keys for. In fact the keys were very difficult to duplicate else were also. The keys are often double cut and the blanks just aren't available in this area. Think twice..........

I needed a barrel shaped lock for a tool box lid on a motorcycle trailer. This is the only lock I could find that fit the hole and match the latch on the trailer box. It fastens by a slide clip rather than a threaded nut like the original. While this lock would probably work on a mailbox, my opinion is that it could not tolerate the vibration from use on the highway. It totally came loose and popped out of the box leaving me with no locking mechanism. Thank goodness for bungey chords.

Item was a perfect match for the repair job and easy to install & worked perfectly once installed.

I tried with a lock bought in other place but I had to replaced it with this one because it just broke!!! bad idea to trust a lowest price only risking the quality!!

Lock is made of good quality and has multi uses. I used it to replace a back lock on a cashbox.

You can easily install this with basic tools. it comes with different fittings. I recommend this product to a friend

I just bought a place and was only given one key to a mailbox. I quickly found out that it's next to impossible to have a duplicate key made for these locks. It's much easier to just buy a new lock and install it yourself. The only hard parts are removing the old lock and figuring out which 'tongue' to use.

These locks are durable and very easy to install. The gold color really dressed up the look of the mailboxes.
