This fan is really good looking. Now the concerning part. For this price the Spades 56" fan should definitely do a great job putting out a breeze and it does. But it should also have LED lights, it fails on this benefit. There are plenty of places a good engineer could work lights into the fan. The lights are really an issue considering a remodel adding a fan in an old house likely needs the light and this fan will drop off the "why buy" list without them. The other issue is how many parts and steps it takes to put this fan together. I don't know what factory labor costs where this was made but returns cost more I promise. Th assembly wasn't so bad I would return the fan but it was real close to that bad. I have but up too many fans to count and the more they cost the easier they seem to install. This fan broke that rule. If you see my picture I put the assembled , no blades, fan in the Styrofoam box with a few changes to the styro. It would fit and save customers time and eliminate frustration. So if you are a fan pro that wants a cool fan with no LED lights and a slight headache. This is a fan for you. Very cool looks.

The fan came out and looks great. The problem is that it does not work. I am over 2 weeks of working with progress to get it to work. They first thought it was a bad remote and sent a new remote. That took about a week to get it in and still did not work. I am now getting a new fan but that has only been 3 days into that. We will see if the second fan works.

Not a great lover of ceiling fans so when my husband said he wanted to keep the ones in our bedroom in our new house I wanted to find something more modern looking. This fits the bill perfectly, nice and quiet too!

Overall I really like the fan. I was surprised how much air it moves with just two blades. I saw a couple reviews that complained about the assembly but I found it easy to assemble.
If I wanted to complain about it I would mention the chrome finish is not great. There are a few places where the finish doesn't cover well. The four chrome pieces that the blades mount to are chromed on one side and a dull silver on the other. The X in the cage towards the top are part chrome and part dull silver.
I leave the fan on and use the switch on the wall to turn it on and off. Occasionally I have to hit the switch a couple times to get it to turn on.
I've had the fan installed about three months now and even with those two issues I still really like the fan.

I ordered 2 of these and installed them w/o any issue. The issue is they turn off, switch direction and change speeds randomly all the time. I have tried changing the codes on the remote and reached out to the manufacturer for help. They were responsive and send me a 3rd unit. Which was nice but now I have 3 fans that basically do w/e they want. The one in our bedroom will go off in the middle of the night or change speeds and reverse directions. For the price these fans are a HUGE disappointment. Spend your money on something else.
