It was exactly what I needed for putting in laminate flooring.

Likely need to learn to use it better but it would be nice if it was a little wider and longer so it could have picked up my 4 jogs in one cut. I had to go back to old school measurements as this wasn’t long and wide enough. For some very small cuts that aren’t as complex it would work but the point is to use it for the complex cuts which are usually at least 6 inches to capture the full space.

Very good for little jobs around the house.

Cant recomend it- usefull tool idea floating around but this one seems to be built poorly. Had a few of these and this one just doesnt cut it for me

The unit is easy to use and slides/locks very well. The only thing that I would have liked woiuld be if they added a hook or hole at one end to be able to hanf it on a pegboard.

Did not lock into place and was so small it didn’t help at all with any measurements. Ended up returning

It either didn't do what I wanted it to do or I didn't know how to use it. I ended up giving it to my pastor who helped me put my flooring in. He had never seen one before. He thought it was cute.

Tried to use this on a toilet base. It didn't pick up the shape well enough for me to use it as a cutting guide for flooring. The locking feature was nice. I returned it.

I have no idea how this gauge compares with other models. I have been using it to install vinyl peel and stick tiles in a room without removing door mouldings. It works great where there is plenty of space on both sides, or ends of the gauge. But in tight spots, the little yellow tab with the scepters does not allow you to get your pattern on that end. However, I like this much better tnan making a pattern on paper, and am glad to have it.
