I purchased the BL-7000SLX QuickJack. After making measurements of my cars jack points, I realized it was not immediately compatible with my vehicle. Low and behold after a little research, I found the SLX Frame Extension Kit. I have a feeling QuickJack intentionally designed this as a way to capture more profit. I was very disappointed the BL-7000SLX QuickJack was not compatible with all vehicles, especially mine. This was not in the description, so hopefully this review will help others realize they need to spend a little more money. Due to the fact I was impressed and pleased with the BL-7000SLX QuickJack, I was willling to spend an additional $225. It also helped that HomeDepot had the QuickJack on sale. To my disappointment, both the QuickJack and this kit did not come with the proper rubber pads. This lead me to realize, I had to spend yet another $85 for their pinch weld rubber blocks. Despite the additional cost setbacks, I'm very happy I have this in my garage. This kit very simple to install on my new BL-7000SLC QuickJack. Keep in mind, this is built to handle heavy weight, so it will require a little muscle to place them in the slots of the BL-7000SLX QuickJack. Additioally, I had to jack the front end of my car up with a separate jack to fit the rubble blocks on this kit. That was also disappointing but worth the trouble of the ability to have my vehicle completely off the ground to work on.

The QuickJack was easy to assemble, as long as you read the Manual prior to starting the assembly.

I've tried making extensions for my 5000 slx quickjack. Wood was scary and the cost of materials alone comes close to the cost of these factory made extensions. Fit finish and strength are all as great as the jack itself. I really wish I got my nerve up to get them sooner. Worth beyond every penny.

I found this to be necessary even on medium sized SUV. Without the extensions, I was not confident it would be safe to lift these vehicles.

It does the Job, but for the overall extension of 6" it's just poor design and takes up room on low clearance vehicles. Yes I know they make two length units, but a design with a extendable arm would be so much better. They were expensive, heavy, inconvenient (another thing to take apart and store). One adjustable unit should do the job of both sizes. The quick Jack customer service is "Number one" in helping with info and assistance. The lift is a good product which could be even better, This add-on should not be necessary. My observation

These work but are very difficult to install. They are supposed to be a drop in fit but I had to work for over an hour to muscle them into place. No way to follow the instructions and store the quick jacks without the extensions in place. Too tough to take off again,be prepared to work at installing
