Terrible coverage
Like just about everything, spray paint included, you get what you pay for. I had to use four cans to get enough coverage. If I had just bought one can of good spray paint, I’d have saved a lot of time and spent just about the same amount of money.

That is not what we like to hear, Mike! Please keep in mind that the condition or type of surface can affect the coverage rate of the Quick Color Spray. Previously painted surfaces, the number of coats, and the thickness of the coats can affect the coverage as well. To maximize coverage, hold the can upright 10 to 16 inches from the surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Make sure to keep the can the same distance from the surface and in motion while spraying. Apply 2 or more light coats a few minutes apart to avoid drips and runs.

Yes I did shake the bottle for multiple minute. BEWARE this has very little pigment. Returned.

Thank you for reaching out. For the best results, we recommend applying several light coats of Quick Color Spray Paint a few minutes apart to help build the finish. Contrasting colors or more porous surfaces will need more coats for more coverage.

Let's see what we can figure out Steve. Quick Color General Purpose Spray Paint has practical coverage of 4-6 sq.ft. per can. For best results apply two more more light coats a few minutes apart until the desired coverage has been achieved.

Terrible coverage
I dont know what others are doing differently but the white paint covers nothing. Not even a little bit. the picture I attached, I counted to 15 seconds. used way more than I would have with a higher priced brand.

I bought these to paint some rubber footpath pads that I also got from THD. I had painted one with another spray paint product and that rubber pad had no issues with flaking or issues with sun fading. I sprayed the remaining rubber pads with this product and within 3 days of being outside the paint had flaked off significantly. For this particular application, I would not recommend this particular paint.

We understand your frustration, Blair. Please keep in mind that the Quick Color Spray would not be suitable for use on rubber surfaces as it would not be able to adhere.

Only Good for Sniffing the Fumes
Quick Color Gloss White Paint
The self checkout alarmed when I tried to buy this. They won't sell to teenagers for sniffing the fumes, but that's all it is good for. I tried to spray a brown surface of about 4 square feet. After using the whole can, the brown still was visible in spots. I did not get enough paint on the surface to judge the quality, but it was not a shiny enamel finish, due to the poor coverage. Do not expect to cover more than 2 square feet.

Thank you for sharing your experience. If applying Quick Color Spray Paint over a contrasting color or over a porous surface, additional coats will be needed for full coverage. Several light coats applied a few minutes apart will provide the best results, verses trying to achieve full coverage with one coat.

Doesn’t work
I was spraying forever and barely covered a foot of space. Worst spray paint ever. Like spraying air. Have to hold within one inch of what you’re painting. Will be returning this!

Budget Paint
This is a inexpensive product, and once dryed and set is probably nearly as good as a more expensive paint. But be aware if your going to use this on a totally unpainted surface, you’ll need to prime it well first. Coverage on a clear unfinshed surface in my experiance has been poor. It has its uses and is very budget friendly, but its not a “go to” product for me, I’ll spend a couple of bucks more and go with a more name brand for better coverage and easy of use.

Too cheap
Doesn’t dry goodTwo days later still tacky should be dry in a couple hours not 48 hours painted a 8 x 10 wooden picture frame I don’t recommend it the Paint sucks

Worst choice of spray paint
Not worth the 98 cents they charge. It takes way too many coats and then smells terrible for weeks. I coated a simple black pine surface and 3 weeks later the paint still rubs off when I touch it and smells horrible. It's not wet when it rubs off, it's chalky and terrible. I am well versed in applying spray paint and followed all directions. This stuff is a waste of time and money.

That is not what we like to hear! If the paint is rubbing off after drying, you are likely experiencing dry spray, which occurs when paint dries in the air prior to landing on the surface. This will create a textured, dull finish, and the paint dust will continue to rub off of the surface. You can wipe the surface with a rag dampened with mineral spirits to remove this dust, then recoat the surface. Try moving the can closer to the surface being painted to prevent dry spray from reoccurring. We also recommend avoiding spraying in direct sunlight, or in breezy conditions. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2

I bought 10 cans ..all 10 worked not even half way then just stopped spraying cleaned the tops ch...

Thank you for sharing your experience, Ken! To prevent clogging with Quick Color Spray Paint, it is essential the can is shaken for a full minute before each use and shaken often during application. This will prevent pigment from settling to the bottom of the can, which can cause clogging. You can also try holding the can upside down and spraying out for a few seconds.

Don’t bother trying to save a few bucks
It tool me twice as much paint to get acceptable coverage. More importantly, it took me twice as much time. Maybe even more considering i had to go behind with a brush to smooth out all the runs.

great primer
I use the flat version of this paint as primer and it works amazing. Great even coat every time. unlike other paints the coverage is nice and thin so you dont lose any of the details. EXACTLY what you want in a primer. Of course this paint would be fine as a official coat but shines when used as a primer or base coat. Now I only use any spray paint in ideal conditions and thus have always been happy with the results. Any brand of paint will have issues if used on windy, humid, or very cold or hot days. I assume the bad reviews are the risk takers.

perfect for halloween projects
We purchased this spray paint for many of our halloween projects. It's cheap and effective but the smell is so so strong. It worked great for covering wood, plastic and insulation material. Happy with this purchase, wish we'd have bought more.
