The first time I tried this was on a 10'x8, wall repair. The product mixed well, although you need to make sure you mix it enough, if you don't, it falls apart easily. I mixed initially in a wheel barrow, then transferred some to a 5 gallon bucket where I used my paddle mixer to really get it nice and creamy. This made a HUGE difference for me, and troweling it on after was super easy. Went on even, dried nicely, floated and blended excellent. So if you are thinking about trying stucco for the first time, use this and go for it.

It worked okay. I kept getting larger stones up to 3/8” in size in some of the bags I purchased. In other bags it had the right mixture of sand and mixed much nicer and spread easier.

I was very pleased with this base coat as it was easy to mix, install, and cure. I contemplated using the rapidest stucco but it was expensive, almost 4 of these bags for the price of 1 rapid set bag. I mixed it per the instructions, let it slake for a few minutes, and applied it to my new clean cinderblocks - it couldn't have been easier. Keep in mind that you need to wet your cinderblocks slightly if they are dry, as a dry cinderblock will suck all the moisture out of the stucco mix and it will crumble off the wall - I kept a spray bottle handy as I worked up the wall. -I mixed one bag at a time under an umbrella and kept it shaded while working with it. Weather was in the high 90's with no humidity and I had no problem with applying to wall. -Make sure to cure it was a fine mist for at least a few days.

Pros Easy to Install, Easy to Use, Easy to Work With, Economical, Great Value, High Quality, Performs Well

It was used to repair some stucco that was covering brick. It went on well and blended with the old stucco. Would have given it 5 stars if it had more working time.
