Made to cover a 4 inch box and protect the wiring. I like how the one corner hocks on and then you pivot the cover to close it before tightening the screws. This is a must if installing a new 4 inch electrical box.

Pretty straightforward and works as described. Took one star offf due to the product not being exactly as pictured. Product has two holes in opposing corners and 2 hooks - unlike whats pictured hacing 4 hooks. Not a big deal, but just FYI.

This box cover is easy to install and made the exposed electrical installation on our porch ceiling look clean and tidy.
We are in the final stages of constructing a rustic porch and installed a matching Raco electrical junction box to run the wires from the house wall switch to the exterior ceiling fan lights and wall lights.
The one aspect of the box lid that I really like is how simple it is to mount. You back out the screws in the electrical box and then rotate the lid into place and tighten the screws back up to secure the lid. On other electrical box lids I have worked with, one of the mounting holes is round which means you have to have one screw in place which can be tricky when working overhead on a step ladder. With the design of this Raco lid, fitting the lid to the box is super easy.
This is a great option and good value for money.
Most people these days are going plastic but you can’t beat a metal box and cover. This cover is extra sturdy and has a knockout on it that you can use to attach conduit to the box or another spot to attach a wire coming into the junction box. I just used mine as a junction box cover. I like metal covers and boxes because it stops hot wires from arcing in the box because if you ground the box it will kick the breaker.

This is the standard blank cover plate used to cover 4 x 4 electrical metal junction box. Over the years I have used hundreds of these cover plates. They are a must to keeping electrical connections enclosed and not exposed. If you are doing new electrical wiring or renovations to existing wiring in older structures, you will need these cover plates. They are solid good quality steel material.

I've used RACO products in the past & have always had good luck with them. I like the fact the holes in this particular product allow you to hang the plate on the box so you don't lose track of it. When the time comes to install the plate permanently, it is there & ready to go. I only thing I don't like is the sharp edges. However, that is a given.

IT WORKS — The Waco 4 in. Square Blank Cover, Flat does what it is intended to do, i.e., cover an electrical junction box. It is solid metal which I prefer to the plastic junction box covers. The cover is well made. It is low cost and contractors can purchase it in bulk at an even greater savings. It works with a square junction box. The screws to fasten it should have come with the junction box. There is not a great deal more that can be said.
