We've been super happy with this cedar wood composter plus have added on 4 additions. We use it at a school garden program and it has held up to a lot of abuse. It's aged nicely. Some wood planks have broken from time to time (the kids bang them hard) so we just replace them with the extra planks that come with the kit. Very easy to assemble. Looks great. And so nice to not have any plastic involved!

Hey everyone! I ended up getting this unit plus the two add ons. I started off with one bin because I was worried from reading other reviews that some of the pieces were difficult to fit together, and wanted to see how things went before committing. Overall, this was a breeze to put together, and I actually enjoyed the process! I did not even use my rubber mallet on the first two compost bins. The trick is to slide the side-boards down very slowly and evenly, otherwise they will catch. I recommend wearing good quality gloves because splinters will be a problem if you don't. I used garden gloves with rubber palms. I also recommend building it in the spot you plan to use it. It can be moved fairly easy but the bottom slats tend to slide out if it's lifted because they are not nailed or glued to the posts. However, once it's in it's resting place, it's quite sturdy. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I noticed a quality control issue while building the last compost bin. I think one of the posts was not routed straight and the side-boards were a little more difficult to maneuver. That said, it was nothing the rubber mallet couldn't handle, and I'm glad I had one handy. Because of covid-19, I decided to pick the item up at Home Depot and used their "curbside pickup" for the first time. It was a piece of cake and saved me $50 on a delivery fee. The packages are medium-sized, and were loaded into the back of my car for me. I hope this review helps you make a decision one way or the other. I believe this item will last a long time, and would definitely buy it again.

Seemed a bit pricy for what it was, and difficult to move after assembled without boards falling out. However, it was extremely easy to assemble and is an attractive solution for compost. I also like the option to add on additional compartments in the future.

This compost bin met our expectations because its the right size for our yard. It was also easy to put together. Ordering and pick up at your store was a very smooth process as well. Thanks.

We couldn't be happier with the recent purchase of our Greene's 173.92 Gal Cedar Wood Composter. The bin is exceptionally easy to assemble. We are both over 80 and found the instructions super simple and the resulting bin sturdy and generously sized. It measures 3'x3' and we're thinking seriously of additional sections in the fall. We highly recommend this product.

Fairly easy to assemble, but the product arrived in a very damaged box and the wood is cheap, not accurately cut, and won’t likely last more than one season.

This is essentially as advertised. Assembles easily enough with a rubber mallet, and made of solid cedar (although light weight and somewhat cheap in construction). Two of us assembled it in about 25 minutes flat, filled it half way with yard waste and we're on our way!
