While this vac has a powerful suction and the inlet port allows for improved airflow, certain debris types can get stuck. For picking up these debris types, using a larger vac with a 2-1/2” inlet would be more effective for these debris types. We also appreciate your insights regarding the hose. However, offer a premium hose alternative, the LA2570, which is 4x times more durable and flexible than the original hose. This upgrade is available at your local Home Depot stores. We highly value your feedback as it helps us continuously improve our products.

Thanks for writing a review and we're sorry to have learned your disappointment. The tones (low versus high) can change from hose to hose. Most of the high-decibel noise is created by the machine but, again, each hose and the air rushing through it may create their own separate tones. Additionally, there have been some instances where a given hose may create a “harmonic whistle.” This noise is normally very high-pitched and includes a higher decibel reading than the vacuum. This isn’t normal for most hose/vacuum combinations, but there’s something in the way the hose was molded, the way the hose ends are attached, the length of the hose, the diameter of the hose, the way that the hose is held or is laying, the way the air is moving through the hose and at what rate that air is moving that all combine to create this “whistle”. For this reason, we recommend wearing ear protectors.
