The attachments have already broken after 5 cleanings and has caused other issues.

We use this vac for light work for about a week and it works well enough. Then we used it as a blower for about a day blowing leaves in to piles. By the end of the day it sound like it had a motor brush going bad. We do most of our own repairs on tools. When I took it apart the brush housing had warped. As I did an inspection on the motor I noticed the fan had been rubbing on the windings and discovered the windings are aluminum that has a copper coating. This motor wouldn't have lasted very long. Very poor design for a motor.

Easy to assemble. Extra usable equipment for all circumstances, auto, home, work, ect. Built to last.

Waited for this kit to go on sale. Highly recommend the shop vac! Purchased this kit mainly for the Car Cleaning Kit, which made cleaning pethair from textured carpet in my truck a breeze. Hose is like new, under a year old only used 4 times till accessory nozzle tip fitting broke off from hose. Poorly designed nozzle cuppling, had high hopes for this hose since it’s flexible, doesn’t scuff the interior, and moves easily as you navigate tight spots in a vehicle.

I have been impressed with this shop/vac. I have used it to vacuum the car, the house and odd spots on the outside of the house. For the car, the attachments did a good job of getting into all the cracks as well as the main body of the carpet. For the house, it was the same. Where I have found this really useful is vacuuming out the vents and drains on the outside of the house. It gets all the leaves, rocks and debris which keeps the vents and drains open. For the blower part, this works well, I have a gas blower and so I can’t see using the blower of the shop vac but for someone without a separate blower, this would be a good option. It comes with a lot of attachments and extra bags. It seems like a good product for a good value. The cord is long, and the vacuum is powerful. The only drawback I see is choosing which attachment to use (which isn’t really a drawback). The attachments all fit on the caddie somewhere which is convenient.

Holy overachieving shop vacs! I'm impressed! This RIDGID NXT (model HD1260) 12 gallon, 6.0 peak HP, wet/dry vac with detachable blower came with nearly everything I needed to get to work. Sure there are a few extras I want to get, for example, a muffler/diffuser, but the accessories required for general use are all included. In true RIDGID fashion, all the hoses and nozzles lock together so nothing pops apart while vacuuming. For our basement 12 gallons was just the right size, and 6-peak HP is a lot of suction! I’m also really pleased with storage on the vac, which was well thought out. Between the powerhead’s chord storage, the accessory caddy, and storage on the casters, everything can be neatly organized. And there’s still one spot left for another accessory nozzle. While the 20’ power cable, which is likely added for purposes of the blower, is still too short to blow our entire patio clean, it’s an added benefit to the shop vac... it’s like having a built in extension chord. The detachable blower/powerhead isn’t something I expected to use; however, it’s pretty convenient to have as a backup. Since the blower doesn’t have an adjustable speed trigger (it’s a switch so either on or off), it provides the exhaust of the 6-peak HP vac motor at full throttle (143 CFM). It’s good for small jobs like ridding the patio of maple helicopters and cleaning the driveway. The powerhead/blower weighs about 8 lbs and that includes the chord. With the typical RIDGID lifetime warranty and everything that comes with it, this vac/blower is a winner in my book!

My floor care people have used the Ridgid 12 gal vac for a couple years. They use it to suck up wax stripper and wax off of a VCT floor. Although it needs to cleaned after every use, because the product dries and will clog everything, it never ever fails to deliver! Once a week, this vacuum takes a beating and comes back swinging. Besides the attachments shown, there are more available and at a reasonable price. Leaf blower? Can not wait to try that out.

I really enjoy this 12 GAL. 6.0-PEAK HP NXT WET/DRY VAC WITH DETACHABLE BLOWER. It comes with everything you need to get started, including hose, 7 accessories and a bag. With the large container, it's great for getting leaves without having to empty all the time like smaller models. It comes with casters so moving it around your work area it a breeze. The other great thing about this is its Full lifetime warranty against material defects and workmanship.

I received this vacuum to build a dust collection cart for my shop. I have another Ridgid shop back in the garage that’s lasted you for years and I expect this one to do the same. The motor isn’t too loud and the suction is excellent. It’s really a brilliant idea as well to add the blower feature. I’ve done it in the past with hooking up the hose to the outlet on the back of the vacuum but it’s never quite the same. This leaf blower attachment puts out a ton of their air and will easily move the biggest pile of leaves. You never think somebody was going to be able to make an improvement to just a plain old vacuum but I think Ridgid come up with a great idea here. The clip on tools is great as well allows you to pull the vacuum around the shop without continuously unplugging the hose.

Too big heavy and bulky it was returned

Easy assembly. This unit uses the same size vac bags as my old Shop Vac. The suction of this unit compared to my old comparable sized Shop Vac is at another level. So much more here. The added feature of removing the power head and being able to use the exhaust as an electric blower is super handy. Has about as much velocity as my gas powered blower. I will keep and use both.

I haven’t had this particular vacuum very long….I Do have two other Rigid shop vacs that are 10 plus years old. One with blower head and the other has filter bag capability. This new vacuum has both features I use frequently…. It’s a win-win for me!

Good unit. Has strong suction and blowing. Larger 2"+ hose size a little more difficult to work with, but otherwise a capable machine.

Nice vacuum right size, the only problem is the wheels are to small for a load of water, 12 gals weights 100# need ball bearing casters both in the wheels and swivels.

Great vacuum except that the power switch fails to the on position after about 10 uses.

This unit is overall lighter than others that I have used in the past, seems a little more cheaply made, but otherwise so far, works great.

I was pleasantly surprised how well this vacuum works. I purchased this for work because my employee pestered me to get it. I was just gonna get the simple 12 gallon vac, like the one we had for over 20 years. The blower function is awesome. We do a lot of painting and a lot of carpentry. It does a good job of vacuuming up paint chips and big piles of saw dust, but the blower is where it really stands out. The blower is much more powerful than a typical shop vac run backwards. Probably because of the way the blower attachment concentrates the air. But I don’t care about the science behind it as much as I care about the performance. It does a great job of cleaning off tools. We used to use an attachment on our air compressor for that. But most of the time, we use the battery powered nailers, so we don’t have the compressor on the job site. If it holds up for 20 years like the last one, this will be a great purchase.

I needed something powerful that didn't take up a lot of room.This wet/dry vac fits the bill. Easy to put together, lots of storage for attachments, many attachments for many different jobs, easy to maneuver even on carpet. And powerful suction, almost too powerful for carpet, it literally lifts the carpet up off the floor. I got this one for the workshop but took it for test drive in the house, and now I'll have to get another one for the workshop because I like having this one for the house. Would definitely recommend getting one (or two).
