Good, but missing 1 key adjustment
I've used this saw for a few months now, and I really like it. It hasn't struggled to get through anything I've cut yet, and I like the dust ejection/collection behind and to the side. It does pretty good with the battery too; I can get a lot out of 1 charge on a 4Ah battery. My biggest gripe is that the base plate came misaligned with the blade, and there's no way to adjust it. There is a set screw to adjust the bevel angle to 90, but no way to align the base. This is a major problem if you want to use a straight-edge as a guide, which I do; not an issue if you just free-hand it. With a straight-edge, you'll have to fight to keep it going in the right direction, if even possible, and you'll really feel the motor struggle to keep up with the resistance. It would be incredibly easy for Ridgid to add this adjustment, and I'd hope they will include it in the next gen tools.

good small radio but need improvement.
First of the all, the whole package did not come as retail package. it is fine by me because i did not have to rip anything open. lol. the radio is light weight and easy to carry around. sound was mediocre. i think my cheap milwaukee radio (2590-20) sounds better. but for a single speaker, it does pretty good job. sound is still clear even at loudest volume. it comes with a short 3.5mm male/male cable to connect aux port. honestly, the cable is too short. for a radio that does not have compartment to store a phone, that cable is useless. the bluetooth connection is good. i played my music from youtube no problem. i did try the ridgid radio app briefly. it functions well. it gives me control of the radio while on bluetooth. it did crash once when i tried the announcement function in the app. but that function is useless. tried a few times and it doesnt work. i agreed with other review about the app. why does it need my location while connecting it? it doesnt make sense to me. charging port is slow. it can keep up with the music playing and bluetooth function but it is not fast enough. overall it is a good jobsite radio but there are some cons i want to see ridgid will implement for the next radio. - wish it comes with a power cable. - faster charging port. - an adapter or pocket that can attach to the battery for phone storage. - a handle to hang the radio.

Example, when you buy tools is fine but if you going to have problems with same than you have problems, thay said lifetime service but if you didn't register your tool waranti doesn't work. I bought kit tool for house and didn't use it maybe 15-20 times in 11 years and battery want charge, 2009 i start to register tool but didn't finish for some reason and thay can't do anything about it, I will check how much is 2 new batteries and how much Ridgid company will lose if they send free 2 new ones.

Synopsis: Great saw. Very durable. The variable speed trigger helps keep the saw under control. Little on the heavy side, but it helps keep the saw from jumping. I had to remove a cracked and leaking plumbing tee in the bathroom. The tee was between two studs about 4 inches apart. There was no room for a pipe cutter. My only option was to cut it out and file the pipe. Imagine my surprise when the resulting cut was straight and clean. I basically knocked the down burrs and continued with my repair. The smooth action of the trigger kept the saw from torsional rotation in my hand resulting in a straighter cut. See the attached photo of the removed tee.

So far all the tools seem to have plenty of power. They can handle even the though jobs. I was cutting hardwood with my old circular saw (corded). My old saw was struggling, binding at times. I decided to try my new ridgid circular saw. Surprisingly it cut so much easier and better. Thanks to that power I could cut down the hard wood, and make a butcher block counter top. I really love the dust collection on the sander. I can use it in side and not worry about making a huge mess. The jobmax is super handy. It really puts the "multi" in multitool. See the picture below of my daughter and I painting our laundry room. The jobmax is sitting on my dryer with the scraper attachment. I was using the jobmax to cut trim then I swiched it to sand, then again swaped it out to scrap paint. I plan to buy more heads for the he jobmax. One problem so far. The larger tools (grinder and circular saw) use battery fast. Using the 2ah battery on these tools can cause them to over heat. Several times when using one of the larger tools, the power has cut out. Checking the battery it still had charge, the touching it it was hot to the touch. With the 4ah battery I haven't had any problems.

Great tools batteries last forever, wish I would have gotten the free battery deals but that started after I bought my ridgid set. Great tools though I’m happy.

I was waiting for this to Happen
I have had my set for about a year. Made the choice to get the Ridgid set because of the Warranty. Well I had to use the warranty and I called Ridigid and was instructed to take in to my local Home Depot, Store #4653. I did as told and when I got their I was told that 1. It will cost my $19 to drop ot off. 2. and the biggest one is that I was told it wil take “6 business weeks”. What is a business week? It doesnt help that the tool rental person tells me that I should have bought Hilti brand online because they dont sell it in the store and their warranty is superior to anything out. So for “6 business weeks” what do I do? Rent a tool? Buy a new one? Really disappointed with this. Just might be the last straw for me to kiss Home Depot good bye and exclusively shop at Lowes

Amazing set! I've owned some previous Rigid tools but the Gen5X drills are the real deal. Great torque and control. I was concerned that the circular saw wouldn't have enough power but so far it rips through plywood sheets better than my corded. Really impressed with build quality and performance!
