This Ridgid 18 volt/12volt inflator arrived intact and well packaged to prevent damage. I ordered it because I have Ridgid batteries. I like the two voltage sources and the 20 inch hose and a long cord if using the vehicle's cig lighter. The best feature is the automatic setting, which stops the inflation at the set PSI. I keep it in my vehicle for quick tire or other needed inflation (comes with a Presta chuck and needle chuck). The quality is excellent and very easy peasy to use. It's an asset for all DIY'ERS. It has worked out several times for me. I like it.

It comes with accessories to inflate sports balls, bicycle tires and air mattresses or floats. Instruction guide included. Has a rotary dial to set the desired PSI with a digital readout. The 20" hose has a fitted quick connect locking chuck for vehicle tires. Powered by 12V vehicle power cord (included) or 18V, 2Ah lithium battery (sold separately). No more driving to the gas station and paying to inflate your tires.

Where have you been all my life RIDGID 18-Volt Digital Inflator ? I have a tankless compressor that uses A/C power, but with six bicycles and five vehicles trying to drag a cord is a real pain. I have a 12 volt D/C cigarette plug inflator with pressure setting’ which is really nice, but it has a cord, also. Ridgid made life so much more enjoyable! The first thing was to visit each of the vehicles and check spare tires which have never seen light of day; so not any surprises! This little beast does have a D/C plug in, if needed, but I do not plan on using it. Nice to be able to inflate toys at the beach, or pool instead of dragging pre-inflated huge items or running a vehicle while trying to inflate gadgets. The preset pressure gauge is a really nice bonus = sure beats inflate – check pressure – inflate more – check pressure, etcetera! For more than thirty years I have carried a presta valve adapter in my pocket, ever since I came across a bicycle tourer who had flatted along a desolate stretch of highway in Wyoming and he was using a hand pump to inflate a tire. I had a portable unit, but no adapter. This marvelous machine includes a presta valve adapter!

I'm giving the Ridgid 18V Digital Inflator a 5 Star review because I can't give it 4 1/2 Stars. It is Great for its designed purpose of being the "Fastest Truck Tire Fill from Flat to Full" in a compact package. As a matter of fact that's the only use suggested on the entire package! The online description adds it has a "Capability of 150 PSI to meet a variety of needs such as inflating car, LT truck, RV, and various equipment tires." And the manual says "You may use this inflator for...Inflating items such as motorcycle, car, and bicycle tires" and Inflating small inflatables and sports balls. I would suggest using the manual mode in a pulsed fashion for any low volume, low psi item such as the last few listed previously. Auto will overshoot the psi dialed in. The Auto shut off function just can't keep up with the 150 psi output into a small hose going thru a small valve. Some people have interpreted this limitation as poor gauge accuracy. I have found the psi gauge very accurate. It's the Auto shut off that is poor, especially at lower psi settings on low volume items. A High/Low psi switch would greatly help this on the next iteration. It tends to shut off early on higher volume or higher psi tires which doesn't bother me because I just squeeze short manual bursts to get to the perfect psi. I would also like to see an LED light like the ones on most of the Ridgid drill drivers. Another easy upgrade. If you are looking for a great little inflator for your Car, Truck, and RV, this is it. If you just want to inflate sports balls, bicycles, and yard equipment, there are better options. Like the Ridgid 18-Volt i Gal. Air Compressor. Many stores have them on clearance now. I saw one last week for $115.

I really wanted to like this a lot more than I did. It is well built, definitely the same quality as the rest of the Ridgid line. The quick connect air chuck works great. Where I ran into problems was for non-automotive applications and the accuracy of the gauge. I had hopes of this being a replacement for my bicycle pump to keep in a car which will not be the case. MTB tires are overinflated by 7psi (27psi vs20 psi) )and road tires are underinflated (72psi vs 80psi). I also tried a soccer ball and it was way overinflated past the 10psi setting. On my car tire the pump was accurate at close to the 35psi. For general use this would be a great tool. Maybe I am expecting too much but it just isn't accurate enough for me to justify the cost when the primary use would be non-automotive.

This thing is awesome and does exactly what I want it to do. No more messing with tire gauge (that is built it and extremely accurate), no more messing around with two gallon air compressor and hoses.All eight of my car tires showed low by 3-4 lbs. Was able to get them EXACTLY where they needed to be in no time at all. Plus....my battery didn't even lower a single bar. Awesome....no.... Freaking Awesome!

This is a fabulous tool that I use all the time. I now have three of them, one for every car. The lifetime warranty can’t be beat.

Got it in January started smoking in April stay away from these

A Great small compressor that is easy to use. No need to dig the big one out all the time.

Charge is enough to do 4 truck tires. Rigid hose valve a little difficult to use. Valve with metal lever would be better. Quality product

The chuck is useless and price is $20 more that what the manufacturer says it retail. But I am in the Ridgid tool system and I needed an inflator immediately so this is what I bought

I’ve owned this inflator for around 1 year and use it at least monthly. I have a shop air compressor but it’s just easier to grab this when adjusting tire pressure. It works well amd is very accurate - always within 1 psi of my expensive Astro gauge. The noise level is acceptable and the speed of inflation is fast. A smaller version of this could be made by removing the handle - just the pump housing and battery attachment plate. That would be great for keeping in the car.

Works great. Will be a good addition to my other Ridgid tools
