I never got to use the jigsaw. Tried to make a cut but it stopped. I have a saw that never made it through the first cut. Customer service is saying I have to drive it an hour away for repair. That will cost almost as much as a replacement. I just replaced a lot of tools with rigid because of their warranty. It was a mistake. I'm not taking the saw for service. I am going to replace it and every Rigid tool I purchased with the competitor brand. So disappointed. Expected better.

without a doubt this is the best jig saw i’ve owned. with three different orbital blade settings and a cutting guide in the manual i can make the most out of it. additionally, it bevels, allowing cuts at 22.5 & 45 degrees both ways. it also has a nice guide on the front which really helps following lines. lastly, but certainly not least, it allows for a vacuum to be hooked up to suck in the sawdust. i have not personally used this feature but it’s definitely an outstanding option. it’ll be great for when i’m doing enclosed stuff this winter. the only thing i wish there was that there isn’t is a place to store blades. i can set blades on it but it’s not secure.

Ridgid 18V Cordless Jig Saw (Tool only) I selected this Ridgid Jig Saw because I already have several of their cordless tools and so have several batteries and two battery charges from previous purchases. I have had good luck with all of them and believe Ridgid makes a superior product. However, the first thing that impressed be with this particular jig saw was its “heft.” It weighs in at 5 lbs. 4.7 oz, and although this may seem heavy, its weight helps it glide through workpieces with ease without excess vibration. Being cordless, I find such tools priceless when working on projects around the property where there is no electricity (see 1st photo). If I was to find fault, it would be with the tiny font used in their too-small-of-a-size Operator’s Manual (see 2nd photo). All the jig saw controls and adjustment features are well located and designed (see 3rd photo). But a great feature that I had not expected came in the form of a vacuum adapter spout for the rear of the jig saw’s shoe that fit perfectly to my Ridgid cordless vac hose (see 4th photo). This has worked great in keeping dust at a minimum indoors.

Strong and fast cuts at 3000 rpms. Always have a little box of new blades. Don't go cheap n keep trying to make your blades last. This is strong but you also want to stay safe. I use this to cut spc, laminates, and PVC pipes for a basin drain. I throw it in a duffle bag with my other saws, batteries, and blades. I like how compact and flat it is so I bring it around more than my circular saw

I wanted to get away from cords so looked for a new cordless jig saw and loved the fact that this has a tool-less blade change. The jig saw has four selectable orbit modes, it has tool-less blade change and the footplate has non-marring covers. The footplate has a 45 degree adjustment that is easy to change with the included, cleverly stored, allen wrench (opposite side of the orbital settings switch). It does not have the variable speed dial at the top, but does have a variable speed trigger. According to Ridgid specs, it cuts up to 200 feet per charge with a max output 6ah battery which I can’t wait to test! With the 4 aH battery the jigsaw isn’t that heavy, it is evenly weighted, and easy to control. I have a ridged shop vac and love that it has the vacuum attachment and an on/off dust blower switch next to the stored allen wrench. Another great tool from Ridgid that is well designed with great features – highly recommend.

This RIDGID R86345B 18V Jig Saw cuts fast with up to 3,000 SPM and a 1 in. stroke length. Other features include - a variable speed trigger; 4 orbital settings for faster cutting through multiple materials; a bevel adjustment up to 45 ° capacity for angled cuts; a dust blowing on/off switch; LED light for a clean line of sight; and a quick blade ejection lever to avoid touching hot blades. Includes 1 t-shank wood cutting blade and a vacuum attachment compatibility with 1-¼ inch and 1-⅞ inch. The handle is comfortable and ergonomic designed for continued use. This model is 100% compatible with all RIDGID 18V batteries. Register within 90 days for the Lifetime Service Agreement for lifetime parts and service. Battery and charger sold separately. I personally prefer RIDGID over all other brands.

This is not one of Ridgid's finest products, but it is usable. The frustrating part is that the blade holder is about 5-10 degrees misaligned with the body of the tool, so you must hold the tool ~5-10 degrees off axis to cut straight. There is no adjustment to this angle described in the owner's manual.

This jigsaw operates great. Smooth trigger to adjust your cutting speed. Great value with the battery and charger. Very happy with the purchase of this product.

Great tool. Really nice asset to tool collection. Battery life last along time.

My son loved his birthday present of this Jig Saw. He said it will save him lots of time with his projects. I will be easier to make animal shapes and other designs.
