By far the best miter saw stand that is portable. Hands down the best I’ve ever used.

Amazing product
I would say the best stand i have ever purchased. This thing is perfect. The saw was fairly heavy to lug around. With this mobile stand its simple to get around and has all the features you could ever ask for on a miter saw stand.

Good but not perfect! Rigid can fix 2 things!
I picked up this Rigid miter stand yesterday at my local Home Depot in Repentigny. I was debating between the Dewalt and this one, I liked the Rigid more for a few reasons over the Dewalt and the price was approx $90 less at the time of purchase. Likes/Dislikes: My likes of the Rigid unit over the Dewalt was the price, the wheel size, the overall looks, easier unlock system to open and close the stand and the 3 year warranty. With that said, both units are nice but at the moment the Rigid fits my needs better. Unpacking: Unit was well packed, I picked it up myself so I chose the box I wanted with no damages on it. Nothing was missing and nothing was bent of damaged as other people had to deal with. Putting it together was easy and was fairly quick. No real issues there... The only little thing I came across during installation, was that one the wheels inner ring (not really a bearing), stuck out a little further on the inside of the frame and washer. So when I installed it on the stand it caused the wheel to not properly spin and caused a slight wobble. It was an easy fix was removing the wheel and just tapping that "ring" slightly back into the center. Reinstalled and that wobble was gone. So no issues there. The not so good: Where I think this stand isn't perfect is on two small points... I might modify mine and see if it helps at all. The extendable side rails for longer cut supports isn't properly thought out. Not a deal breaker but could be looked at by the Rigid team, please look into this! First thing, when extending the side rails for support, the locking lever that allows you to extend the support arm isn't placed in logical spot, the frame gets in the way. So you have to fiddle around it to set have better access. The other thing that isn't well thought out, is the height adjustment for the support rails. Once you set the rail at the length you need and tighten that side knob, the support bar/stop rail shifts at an angle and that shifts your piece of lumber. Poor design and would be much better if that knob was place on the flat front to lock it in at a straight level and not on that corner angle that causes the frame to move. Overall: I really like it, but those two "not so good" do annoy me. And that's where I might modify mine. Maybe by drilling a new hole on the front part of that support riser instead of on the side. Rethread the hole and have try it there. It would make a direct hold and squeeze it backwards instead of having it move the support arm around. I would give this a 3.5 but can't give half a point, so ill leave it at 4 stars... JUST because of those two things with the rails... When you want a precise repeat cut but the things twists on ya, no good! If it wasn't for that issue, I would give this Miter Stand 5 stars for sure! Hope this clears up a few things for other future buyers. Enjoy and go out there and build something!

Support arm cannot be locked while stand is up
Assembly was only possible by using third party instructions, manual was vague and had almost no graphics. Unfortunately, the support arm lock on the wheel end will not rotate when the MSUV is open so I will not be able to use that arm as a stop. I guess it will still work as a support but not for repeating cuts. I called and talked to a rep who could not help. He said just return it but it looks like a manufacturing issue so I am not confident a replacement would not be the same.

      Could not assemble
I was really looking forward to using this and upon assembly discovered the end of a frame was bent so much so I could not assemble the end. Additionally the metal is much to thick to bend back into place. I'm really debating whether or not I should exchange for a different one or just get a refund...

        Terrific portable saw stand
Wow this stand has made using my heavy 12” sliding miter saw so much easier. Should have bought this years ago. It was a cinch to assemble and what I most like is it’s ability to store the saw vertically taking up about 30” of space in my case. Raising and lowering the heavy saw doesn’t require a lot of strength due to the great design. I previously had a portable stand with a piston but that was a bear for me to raise from the collapsed position until part way raised. (5 stars)

          A very user friendly Stand
Ridgid did a great job improving on an earlier version. The stand has a release lever you push with your foot to open and then to close. Set up/ tear down is literally 3 seconds. The extensions for boards are much more sturdy and slide well. Two cross rails are supplied that you attach to your miter saw and then you attach and lock in your miter saw to the frame. It seems very sturdy and well-made, so far I am very pleased with it. I have the Ridgid 12 inch miter saw attached to it. The working height is 38 inches.

            Quality Control is rough
This the second ridgid miter stand that I've had and it has similar quality control issues as the cheaper model. Went with this brand because you got bigger wheels for just a little more compared to the Dewalt. Milwaukee version doesn't have wheels. The install instructions are pretty vague. But once I got it together I realized one of the holes for the work support wasn't fully screwed in and I cant lock it in.

              It just works
This stand is delightfully easy to use, and does what it's made for. I'm 6'2", and the height is okay, but it should be easy to modify for extra height (if I decide it's needed).

Not accurate for multiple same size board cuts.
Roller bar is not perpendicular to the fence, so i have to allways adjust this with a shim. Wopullld be nice to have hoorizopntal adjustmwent oppn it.

                Bad quality control!!!
I purchased this Ridgid Universal Mobile Mitre Saw Stand with Mounting Braces after assembly I noticed one of the wheels was leaning to one side. After further investigation it turns out that the hole and bushing they welded on the frame is welded crooked. Basically bad quality control. Also the assembly instruction in manual are pretty bad and had to google youtube for instruction video for it! They need better and clearer instruction for there manual. You basically need engineering degree to put together using the manual. IKA furniture is easier to assemble then this sadly. (no part markings so you have to guess which bolt is which) Other then that the product is excellent.

                  Good quality product
After using my neighbors Dewalt mitre saw and stand, I knew I had to get one. The only thing I didn't like about his Dewalt were the wheels were too small for dealing with anything other than smooth concrete surfaces and the stand was kind of difficult to unlock and unfold. So I went and got myself the Rigid. I really like how this thing is made. Its made pretty sturdy. Easy to setup and take down. Big wheels that actually make it easy to cart around the yard. My only gripe with this thing is the assembly instructions suck. Also, the extension board supports don't have rollers, it is just round bars at the end. It makes it kind of difficult to move the board I am cutting into position. It would be nice if they had rollers for this stand. I would've given it 5 stars if not for the rollers and the non-existent assembly instructions.

                    5-Stars So Far
I had to buy this because, at 75-pounds, my new 12-inch Bosch mitre saw is too heavy to hoist. The price of the Bosch-brand version made my eyes water. I took a chance with this at half the price. This Ridgid stand is shouldering that beast with aplomb. Raising and lowering it, with 75-pounds atop, gets a bit tricky; there's a point where it feels like it wants to run away. Someone half my age, with a little more beef, might not notice. I don't intend to move around much; so this doesn't break the deal. I like the mounting bars. They are strong enough to hang 75-pounds on the vertical. I love the extensive material supports. Cutting 16-foot base is a breeze. I like the large wheels, but I worry about the engineering. Looks like they could snap. A solid axle from wheel to wheel would fortify the structure. Many complain about setup. Setup is actually straight forward and pretty easy. Two of the same size metric wrench is mandatory. You'll run into trouble if, as I do, you rip off and discard the foreign language parts of the manual. The illustrations are at the back of the manual and are accompanied by copy, redundant from the front of the maual. Overall, I am largely pleased with the performance and construction of this purchase that was based largely on price

                    Great saw stand!
This is just what I needed. No more lugging around a heavy saw and trying to make a place to use it every time like sawhorses and plywood. Works with other brands.

                    Flawed. Heavy. Sturdy.
As others reported, there are production problems with this stand: the receiver tubes for the bottom bar are bent in, thus the base stand does not fit. The wheel axles aren’t perfectly straight, but usable. Also, a key nut and bolt was missing. In spite of this, the stand generally seems well-built. It is sturdy and stable. It weighs 67 pounds, thus too heavy for me to lift into a vehicle with the saw attached. It’s currently sold for $80 less in a Special Deal: Model AC9946-RPM121

I was a little bit nervous after reading the reviews about the hardware not working properly but I had no issues with mine. Everything went together like it supposed to and it is very sturdy. I’m very happy with it. The instructions are a little bit difficult to follow but not that big a deal.

                          'Universal' Stand
I haven't actually used this yet, but I'm reviewing the fact that I bought this to go with a Milwaukee Tool 12-inch Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Mitre Saw Model # 6955-20. BUT with this saw, the way it rotates to the mitre spots, the mounting nut and bolts DO NOT WORK. They stick up too tall and don't allow full rotation, plus the back ones stop the saw from extending back. Even if you use their option 2 of mounting on a board, it still wouldn't work. My fix, after 2 days of trying to figure it out, was to turn the mounting bars around, buy new operator side hex nuts and bolts (5/8ths) that can sink in the spots and sawed off the back ones. You have to make sure they can be reachable inside the mounting bars. I like the saw and I like the stand, I'm just trying to make others less frustrated.

                            Disappointing quality
Picked this miter stand up with high hopes, but to my dismay, the quality left a lot to be desired. I found quite a few blatant issues during assembly. Tubes so far out of round that I had to hammer them out in order to slide the mating piece.

Stand was Rigid, carton not so much
Ordered online last week. Fed Ex delivered pretty quickly. Only issue was the box appeared to have been opened. Not like the tape came loose. The tape was cleanly cut down the middle and the ends. Only thing holding it together was the two white nylon bands. Not happy. Got it opened and all appeared to be there except the instructions. second thing I checked for was the bent tubing many reviews mentioned. Rather than drag it back to the store I used some vise grip pliers and a towel to protect the metal an fixed the tubing. looking at the box it looked pretty straightforward. So I put it together in about 30-35 minutes. Seems pretty sturdy and folds easily. My saw is a Rigid and went on very easily. Mount the rails to yourself first then drop the whole thing onto the stand. On a side note I had to call customer support about something else and was very happy with how fast someone answered and was able to help me completely.

Stand obviously a return. Don't sell it as new. Tubing deformed; used crowbar to get right, plus mallet to fit parts. Scuff marks where product was put together and taken apart before. Bad manual; English OK, but pics separate from text.

Just roll it out put the Delta 10 " miter saw on found out only can mount 2 holes the other 2 won't fit ( need the brackets to middle). Then when I tilted to storage Miter saw started to slide down the brackets doesn't hold it in place. Check the mount bracket screw adjusted it to make sure it lock down, still having an issues. :( I have use wire tie to try hold it place til I contact Customer service

Good stand - if you can find one that was made properly
This is my 2nd one and it's still not 100% right. The first one went together easily until it got to the black tubular handle. The handle would not slide into the mating pieces because one of them was not only oblong instead of a circular hole, but also was welding slightly out of square. So even using some prying action would not allow me to get the handle seated properly. Took it back and exchanged it for another one. We even opened the box to inspect the new one to make sure it didn't have the same issue. Second one went together great until after I was done I noticed that one of the wheels looked odd. It was tilted inwards slightly like a lowered Mazda Miata ready to go to the drift track. Sure enough, it was definitely cockeyed. I thought at first it was a wheel problem, but upon closer inspection the hole that the wheel axle goes through on the frame is drilled off center and on an angle. Really? I had to get to the jobsite and get going and couldn't mess with it anymore. It functions but that wheel drives me nuts. Don't have time to take it back to the store again. Rethinking my choice and plan to buy a different miter saw stand.

I received this very well built unit and began assembling the 6 or so remaining pieces. The main frame receptacle for the support bar was flat across the bottom of the pipe and the support pipe was definitely round. It was a no go to assemble it. I called their support line and they had no recommendations except return it, box and all. I said I was not taking it back apart, and he replied that to leave it assembled partially was fine and apologized for this. I had the wheels and handles assembled and I wheeled it around the house just fine, and hefted it into my wife’s van. I did try to round it out with a hammer, but it did not do a thing. Banged pretty good on it. It is very sturdy and would do a great job with my new Rigid saw. They have them in stock so I will return it to our local store.

When I bought this i expected it to wobble and not be sturdy. I was surprised and pleased at the stability and ease of use. It was easy to assemble as evident in this assembly video: https://youtu.be/tbHTG3qO18E It is easy to load and unload in my truck. the saw stays stand steady on teh stand even when the stand is folded for storage and transport. The stops make repeated cut a breeze and the support arms are more sturdy than expected. I enjoy using this stand every day.

Install holes for the wheel side handle and opposite of wheel side handle are reversed. See attached photos. Not only are the instructions useless but holes in the wrong location tends to be confusing and a waste of time when I could be working. Super frustrating, especially when its $200 worth of garbage. Another Rigid piece of trash. Thank you for wasting my time Rigid/ Home depot!
