      Perfect For Every Project
I have been using ROCKWOOL since it was Roxul! The Comfortbatt thermal insulation offers a lot of big benefits. It’s easy to cut and install, holds its shape for a snug fit, resists mold, moisture and fire, all while providing reliable thermal performance. The stone wool batts are ideal for achieving a more durable and efficient home. I’ve trusted ROCKWOOL Comfortbatt insulation for my shows and personal projects for years! Disclosure: I am a long-standing ambassador of ROCKWOOL and its stone wool insulation products and have previously received products in-kind. Although compensated for my role as an ambassador, my review is based on my first-hand experience using ROCKWOOL products and on my belief in their performance and benefits to buildings and occupants. I regularly used ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation products prior to establishing an ambassador relationship with ROCKWOOL. This review reflects my own honest opinion.

        Very Good Product
I installed about 650 square feet of insulation in my attic and was plesantly suprised with the ease of installation of the ROCKWOOL Comfortbatt (R-15) material. I placed Comfortbatts in between the ceil joists (full dimesional 2x4 on 16 centers). I then placed rolled R-30 Fiberglass, perpendicular to the joist direction. The Comfortbatt did not generate the dust and fibers that I found were generated with the fiberglass batt installation. The ROCKWOOL material came in easy to manage packaged bundles and when opened the material expanded very nicely. It cut easily with the bread knife as desribed. I did find inconsistencies in the cohesiveness of the Comfortbatts. Some were very cohesive and I could grab them with my hand and easily slide them into place between the ceiling joists, while other Comfortbatts would pull apart when I tried to grab the batt and slide it between the joists. Overall, I do like the general density and noise reduction of the Comfortbatts. I used the hybrid ROCKWOOL/fiberglass system to help reduce the overall cost, with the fiberglass having a higher R-value and costing about $300 less than the ROCKWOOL for the same area.

          Comfort Batt
Once I started demolition I noticed the old insulation and it was wasn’t up to standard. I used the ROCKWOOL Comfort Batt insulation to bring the kitchen up to the building code. Easy to use and the home already feels better.

            Best Insulation
I have used Rockwood in my exterior walls, interior walls, floor joists and most recently in the walls of my campervan. It is easy to work with, excellent for sound proofing, provides better fire protection and does not saturate with moisture. Best Insulation product for people who want the best Insulation with few trade offs.

              Basement rim joist insulation
Worked on removing and replacing the orig. fiberglass batt insulation in the basement. I chose the Rockwool Comfortbatt R15 batt since it appear to be a better product than replacing with new fiberglass batts. I think the Rockwool product was sightly more expansive, but I found it easy to work with. We'll see how good are the energy savings over time.

                Rockwool rocks!
First time using Rockwool in our renovated home. As soon as we put it in the house was quieter and instantly warmer. We are now at the drywall stage and are only using two small electric portable heaters and the house is T-shirt warm! I can imagine how warm it will be once we turn the furnace on and how much money we will save in heating bills! The Rockwool Comfortbatt product is so easy to use and went up so quickly. We had one whole floor done in two days with just two of us doing the work. Will only use Rockwool from now on. We have recommended the comfortbatt and Rockwool comfort board to our daughter and husband as they will be doing a renovation to their home soon. So pleased with this company and products. Thank you!

                    Great Material
Five star material here. Easy to cut and install, just select a good vapor barrier I chose Intello Membrane and done. I do like benefit of this material not being able to burn. And if it get wet it will dry out and will still do the job it was intended to do. And no itchy arms while installing it, perfect !

                        Easy to customize
Said goodbye to pink crap insulation and hello to lovely rockwool. Had major problems with squirrels in old log cabin unfinished basement ceiling. Once we cleared out the old insulation (riddled with poop and nests), we crossed our fingers that this new insulation would be inhospitable. The week after installation, they messed with one small section, which we pushed back into place with a garden hoe. I had to repeat this a few days later, but the insulation wasn’t destroyed just pushed out of place. Since then, no issues (about 2 months as of this writing). There are many wires and pipes (for geothermal heating) in that basement ceiling, so installation went slowly in some sections. But the stuff cuts so easily that it’s not hard to customize. Just always “measure twice, cut once” as my father used to say. I’m not a contractor, not even close. Just a homeowner capable of the most basic home maintenence. I found rockwool comfortbatt easy to work with and was very proud that we could do this ourselves!

                          Inspector was very impressed
DIY installed comfort batt in my 2 story 1200sq foot guest house workshop on top of 2 inch closed cell spray foam Extremely easy to work with. Love the tidy appearance and so did the inspector.

                            Comfortbatt for interior foundation walls
I've started to install Rockwool Comfortbatt insulation for my basement renovation, specifically for the interior foundation walls and rim joists. Using Rockwool, in combination with 2" rigid insulation meets the local building code requirements and has greatly improved the temperatures in my home, creating a much more consistent room temperature. The installation process was very simple, and I'd highly recommend this product over the competition.

                                Best Product on the market
Rockwool Roxul insulation is the only product I will use. Roxul is so easy to install and works so well. Since this product came to market I have been so happy. In my opinion fiberglass insulation is so inferior to this product, for ease of installation, fire rating, moisture resistance, and does not compress over time. Roxul works so well that when I perform any insulation upgrades I know that I never have to worry about its performance in the future. This is definitely the only product I will put into my home, garage, or any other structure that may need to be insulated. We just changed out the insulation in our laundry room while a new electrical panel was being installed. Still need to put drywall up, but you can see Roxul behind the vapor barrier.

Good product , insulation and rating all in one. Not as itchy as fibreglass. We use this produce in all our commercial projects. Cheeper than using fibreglass

                                        The best choice for contractors.
My crew and I install Comfortbatt on a regular basis for residential projects. Both new construction and renovations can benefit from the many features of Rockwool such as fire resistance and sound deadening. One huge reason to use it in our coastal area of western Canada is the resistance to humidity and moisture. It’s the perfect product!

                                          Filling every wall with it
One particular YouTube channel turned me on to this product. I bought a 50’s home that still had some weird Kimsul insulation in it. The R3ish this stuff was won’t cut it in New England winters. Gutted the second floor first and every wall upstairs now has rockwool in it. I love it. I don’t hear the highway anymore, the rooms stay perfect temp with the mini splits only. Easy to install and love how you can carve out the batt to fit where you need it. Going to put another order in soon for the first floor and between the floors. Then I’ll finish the basement with it.

                                            Rockwool R30 attic install
I installed the Rockwool comfortbatt in my attic over this last winter in hopes that it would help keep my home cool over this summer. In my opinion it helped a lot, that being said there was no insulation in my attic before the rockwool. I will be installing some Rockwool in my crawl space over the next winter hoping this helps keep the heat/coolness in the home even better. Shawn Solis

This insulation is great, super easy to work with and great value. Thank you for making a great product.

                                                Safe and quiet
I’ve used Rockwool insulation behind walls and under joists to isolate the sound in the TV room from the surrounding rooms. It performs well and was easy to install. I will use it again soon in my attic. Our furnace is in the attic and I believe that adding Rockwool insulation between the rafters will help to keep the attic cooler in the summer which will lower my AC costs.

Hands Down Bar None Best Insulation
Rockwool ComfortBatt is such a great product that is easy to use, easy to install, and gives so many benefits to our new custom homes. After installing it on my personal home I am convinced it is the best product out there. It went in so fast, wasn’t very messy, and that is before all of the benefits you get with any Rockwool product. Quiet, stable, fire and water resistant…this is going to be a lifelong high performance product.

                                                    Best fire resistant insulation!
I finally got around to fire stopping my garage since I live above it, and I chose Rockwool to fill joist cavities and pipe and wire penetrations. Rockwool is not only fire resistant but also has the best sound deadening properties out of any insulation on the market, and that’s great when I have to leave for work and my wife is still sleeping I know the noise of the car will not wake her up!!! I did tons of research on mineral wool insulation and Rockwool is the original best product to provide fire resistance, sound deadening and thermal insulation all in one product!!!

                                                      Comfort Batt for the win...AGAIN
We have been using RockWool on our interior residential renovation products for quite some time. It is a no brainer for us and for us to utilize on our projects. Its resistance to mold, rot, mold, and mildew because it is made of spun stone that cannot absorb and hold water is amazing and a game changer. It also offers incredible sound reduction and fire resistance. It is fluffy, holds its shape in the wall cavity, easy to trim down, and is not itchy fiberglass. Love it and love everything about it!

I'm remodeling my 1950 mid century modern home one room at a time. I started with the hardest room to heat & cool, knocked out the old plaster & had the room sprayed with rigid & soft foam. The guys rushed the job & left some thin spots and even bare wood showing thru. I wanted to fill voids with Roxul but could not find it anywhere in Oklahoma so I hung the drywall anyway. Since then I've found a dealer 30 miles from me that can order it. I've since used Roxul in my sun room & garage. I like it better than the foam & I can easily install it myself.
