Im new to home renovation and home make overs, and this is PERFECT for beginners or pros! Very very very easy, and extremly beautiful! I love my fireplace!

This lime wash works best with more porous brick such has molded brick or older brick (pre 1950s). Modern extruded brick, or brick which has a very hard, almost glazed surface will not absorb the lime wash well and the coating tends to "chalk" on the surface, even when applied correctly. I would order a test sample from Romabio (I was able to order one directly from the company before they sold at Home Depot). Also, test out different dilution % of the product (50%-120%. Tends to go on very transparent and will slowly become more opaque as it dries. If you are attempting an "antique" finish (one that looks like 50 years old and has worn off), let the lime wash "gel" before attempting to wash off with hose. Depending on temperature and humidity, the gel will occur around 10-20 minutes after application and the applied lime wash will get a little thicker and sticky. Achieves a more authentic, naturally-worn look using this method as "un-gelled" lime wash tends to completely wash off with a short spray. Even when "gelled", Its VERY hard to achieve a natural worn-off look using this method. Without antiquing, highly exposed areas will begin to wear immediately such as chimneys or brick walls fully exposed to elements, but covered areas will likely take decades to wear off, such as walls under roof overhangs or covered porches.

Ordered the brush, bucket, stirrer, and paint online. Great packaging delivery on the paint. Had to pick up other things in store. This is so easy to use. There is no way you can make any mistakes... there is no wrong thing... after you ate done washing it, look at it in natural light and when you turn on the lights. You can see the little difference in natural light vs warm white lights. Please see my pic below! Another successful covid project. Our TV will be mounted above the fireplace in couple of days!

Our neighborhood is full of red brick houses. After using the Romabio Lime Wash, neighbors and strangers compliment me on house beautiful my house looks. I wish I had used Romabio sooner!

We used this product to Lime Wash our brick fireplace. It was easy to apply. I added water to achieve the right consistency the used a large paintbrush to apply. I waited a few minutes then rubbed off the wash from the bricks I wanted to show off. It came out beautiful! This project was the third time we used the ROMABIO Lime Wash.

This transformed the brick on my house and was super easy to use.

I have a condo built in 1970 that had original brick covered by ugly wood paneling. The brick wasn’t meant to be exposed and wasn’t that pretty. It also had a very gritty texture that would scrape your skin if you made the mistake of grazing it. This stuff was a game changer. Now the brick looks beautiful and modern. It smoothed it out a little. My advice for those using it is that it dries a lot darker than it goes on so don’t slather it on like I did. But it’s so easy to work with that even though I didn’t like the look, it was a simple fix.

I had already lime washed 2 fireplaces with Romabio lime wash. This last project was the complete exterior of a brick home. I mixed at 50% water to lime and applied it with a brush. The results were awesome! This is the best lime wash product on the market!

I love this product, easy to use and I love the look! Avorio White is the perfect color if you're looking for a more natural, not bright white color. I am very happy with how this turned out. Cons are that it wipes off easy... while cleaning the fireplace some ash got on the brick and now it needs to be repainted since it stripped the paint when cleaning. A tip would be to start at the top rather than the bottom which is against the label guidance. Also, don't forget to spray with water before applying, that way a little product goes a long way.

This product was easy to use and gave us the desired effect we were looking for. I highly recommend getting the Romabio brush as well.

I got fantastic results using this on my fireplace. It was easy to use. I used both the romabio brush and a regular trim brush. Done in an hour. Probably spent another hour working on revealing some of the old. Would definitely recommend. Now I need a mantel;)

Easy to use and I have never done anything like this before. It can be a little messy- but it does wipe up easily too. Our fireplace, built in the 50’s needed an update- the rock had an old smell that lingered in the air. We updated our colors from beige to grey and decided to try the nube grey. It goes on light but darkens as it dries. Very happy with the end results.

I had to do 2 coats to get a solid white. In a couple of areas, the product washed off and had to be redone. This was on the lower part of a brick wall. I estimated what I needed for 1 coat and then doubled that for 2 coats. It actually took about 3 times the estimate for 1 coat. I found the brush to be too heavy to use. Once it's loaded with paint, I found my wrist giving out after a couple of hours. I changed to a 4" brush for the 1st coat, mainly to get good coverage on the mortar and a light coat on the brick face. Then I used a 1 1/4" nap roller for the 2nd coat. I started out using a 9' step ladder to reach higher areas, but changed to a paint extension pole which was much faster. I've noticed a couple of areas that have mold, so I will have to clean those areas again and repaint. Also noticed some brown spots and I haven't figured out what caused them. I removed all the downspouts, awnings, shutters, and pruned shrubs back about 2" from the house. Overall, this is a big job and took me much longer than expected. I am happy with final result,

The result of this was stunning and exactly what I hoped for. Had thought about distressing it more but liked the way it looked so left it as is.

We wanted to brighten up our house and after some research we decided on limewash. We decided to order 2 gallons for the front brick of our home ( only part of our home with brick). Shipping was super fast. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. My husband and I did it all in about 5 hours with a brush. We LOVE the end results. Clean up was so simple. I cannot Recommend this product enough. And at such a great price!!

It was easy to use and gave us the coverage that we wanted for our brick home without painting the brick. Lime wash is the way to go to let the brick breathe.

This product is amazing. It is SUPER easy to use and very forgiving. We bought a 4 gallon bucket and was able to cover an entire 1900 sqft house and chimney with product left over. It is very forgiving, so don't think ou will mess up. You can easily wash it off 2 days after. I'm no professional and if I can figure this out, you can too. I highly recommend this product.

A big update on a 1978 exterior Stone house. I diluted 50/50 and used the mason brush they recommended. I love the look! Very pleased with the end result.

I love this stuff! I found it via Pinterest because our house before was so ugly. Dark green with ivory trim and almost orange stone. It’s night and day difference and I absolutely love the outcome!

I LOVE this stuff! I did EXACTLY what I was expecting. I didn't care for my orange brick at all and wanted full coverage (nothing washed off to show through) and I am ecstatically pleased with the results!
