Rain barrel install
Easy set up, the only hard part was cutting our downspout to be just right height but that had nothing to do with the product, should’ve set it up yesterday cuz we had a down pore last night so don’t know how it will be yet with water in it

Screwy but okay
I had trouble making the spigot screw in straight. The plastic threads on the barrel are not very welcoming. Brass threads would be a nice addition. I wish the top had an optional circular opening for my downspout pipe which is circular. The top was indented, so the flat screen gaps above the top.

Useful and space efficient
My 50 gal rain barrel with brass spigot was a great addition to my home. Its exceptional ease of use and storage makes worth buying. It also looks great. I’m glad I purchased it, highly recommend. I also bought the stand to go with it.

Very nice flat back.
I have a down spout on the corner of my back yard and my fence runs off that corner. I was able to have the barrel up against the fence with the flat back. Started with one barrel. But I would run out of water before the next rain, so I bought a second one. Both 50 gallon. Easy set up, I didn't drill into the side of the barrel as the instructions state. I just connected the two barrels as shown in the picture.

Rain barrel
Got this rain barrel to catch condensate coming from my air conditioner instead of wasting it going down the drain I use the water to water my flowers and garden Saving at least 15- 20 gallons of water a day this will lower my water bill. The money I save will pay for the rain barrel in one summer

First rain barrell…not great
I just received my first rain barrel today. I liked the idea of this rain barrel with the removable mesh screen. Now that I have received it, I am a little disappointed. My first issue is that the top of the barrel curves inward, so when I attach the screen, there is still a gap that will allow debris and mosquitos to get in. When I looked inside the rain barrel, I noticed that where the hole was drilled for the spiget, there is still plastic hanging on. Unfortunately, the opening at the top is not wide enough for me to get in and pull out the plastic. This could potentially cause an issue in the future when water is running through the line to my nipple style chicken waterers. Also, the overflow drainage has nothing stopping mosquitos from getting in. I would like to be able to add a hose or something to the overflow hole to direct water away from the base of the barrel, but it is not designed for that. I haven't filled it up yet, but I most likely will not purchase this again.

Not Happy
I can't say enough bad things about this purchase. The only positive is the color oak. The top was bowed, the screen wouldn't fit and even if it had, there were no screw holes.
I'm 70. I still rigged it to work for me & it has done well for the approximate 4 months I've had it. This morning: The "brass spigot" now leaks.
Oh lucky me! The company offers a "kit" of a replacement spigot & screen that I can purchase. Great! Buy another screen I can't use just to get another spigot? Why do they carry this kit? I'm guessing these are all too common problems.
Can anyone tell me if any spigot will work? Are they pretty much standard size/threads?
RTS! You should just send me another spigot! It didn't even make it 6 months!!

arrived damaged--returned
Ordered online--but when rec'd and taken from box, I saw the top was depressed (like something heavy had been set on top of it) so that there was a gap beneath the filter.
I would have had to find a way to seal it so debri did not flow into it--so I returned it. Hopefully the next one will be better (I've ordered a different brand to try).

Barrel seems good quality!
The only thing is, there’s only one spigot, and I wanted two….
Also, it would be nice if you could hook a hose up to the overflow part and direct water to where you want it to go.
It fills up so quick just after one rainfall, you would think 50 gallons would be a lot!
Looks like I’m going to have to order more in the future!
