Works great, good value
It's really good for the price. This is the second Ryobi 2 cycle product I have and they both start easy and run well. My only gripe is that the attachments aren't tool less so it takes some time to switch from blower to vac. Other than that it's a great little machine.

Love IT
Easy to use and the mulching leave bag is great. It mulches the leaves into the bag and dump right in the composter.

Worst vacuum / blower ever
Some engineer redesigned this leaf vacuum replacing the L shaped tube with a U shaped tube making it very awkward to use, refuel and empty. Don't buy this vacuum / blower it is like trying to bowl with an egg shaped bowling ball. I've had 6 Ryobi blower / vacuums, they last me about a season which was ok since they are only $99 but as soon as I can find a suitable replacement this Ryobi is going in the trash.

Wouldn't even start
It looks like everything you need, all the mulch attachments are grate in theory. My problem like many others, It just doesn't start. Fallow the instructions ( this wasn't my first blower ). I try for 20 min and finally give up. When I return the blower, the Home depot employees try to "show me how to operate the blower" I have fun looking a tree of them try. I wouldn't recommend and If you go for the value, Start it in the parking lot it will save you the trip back to return it.

    Does it all
It has all the features needed. The blower is very effective, easy to assemble and light to carry. The vacuum is also easy to assemble and use. The motor starts very easily, the controls are simple and easily located and operated. Does everything I need it to do..

    Works GREAT!
I've used this blow about 6 times. It's been reported that it's hard to start. I have had NO problems getting it started. I am using new gas and synthetic oil, plus I've followed the starting instructions. The air output is GREAT! I do however wish the tip of the blower tube was cone shaped. I have not used the vacuum yet. The vacuum tube screws on to the motor so I'm not such if I will be of fan of this... as far as quick attach and detach. I do think it will be solid though.

    Just purchased one.
After reading the reviews I have a few tips. #1 fresh fuel every time. And put a fuel stabilizer in the can with the mix oil before filling gas can. #2 Cold start-pump bulb until you see the fuel and bulb gets firm. Full choke for two pulls and half choke and full throttle. Should start right up and run it at half choke for 30 seconds while revving up and down to get the motor warm.choke off and away you go. #3 I am going to drill some small holes in connections of blower tube and eliminate any problem with blower tube falling off. #4 get a piece of webbing like the bag has and put it around bottom handle and around neck and shoulder to get some weight off your arm's. Good Luck

Ryobi Gas Blower Vacuum - for 2000 ft and BELOW
This unit is only for people living 2000 FT and BELOW! Wish it would have been clearly indicated on site or NOT sold to people living above 2000ft. After purchasing and reading all of the instructions, we found the above statement on the back page of the small added insert. Went back to Home Depot and after my husband made 6 trips to the store/s, who then contacted Ryobi, we found out it needed new jets or something to work at our altitude! Not worth it to us for the extra cost to convert to high altitude, so we returned to Home Depot without much problem since we had only unpacked the unit and didn't attempt to use it. But this may explain why some users complain about engine starting, etc.

Satisfactory purchase - does what I want it to do.
The only problem is that here should be a shoulder strap available for when the unit is being used as a blower. It gets heave after a while.

      It Blows!
Replaced a very similar older Ryobi model with this one. Liked its lightweight design. It does the job it's intended for, but it does seem on the loud side.

        Broke after three uses.
After having such a great run with my ryobi electric power tools, i decided to try their gas powered blower. Nope. Stopped working after three uses. It'd be cheaper to rent a blower every time I needed one then to purchase them at this rate. So no more ryobi gas powered anything for me. As for this one, it got cleaned up, shoved back in the box and returned to the store. That's the good news with the real short life span, its still within the return policy.

          great easy to use
Light weight, relatively easy to change from blower to vacuum. Was surprised at how easy it is to start.

          NOT powerful
I have had this blower for a few years and it has a hard time of moving any thing wet or dry. It also vibrates alot. I was tired of spending several hours clearing my 1.5 acre, heavily wooded property so I have recently purchased a 700+ CFM Backpack blower and it is MUCH more powerful and what took me all day, now only takes me an hour or two. I have purchased other ryobi tools and I am happy with them, but I do not like their blowers.

          RYOBI LEAF BLOWER/VAC
I had bought this product fall of 2013 and it worked very well. In the following Spring I went to use it to clear out the gutters and ran into the same problem a lot of folks have; would not start no matter how hard I tried. I spent the summer trying to get this thing to work and it just would not start. I was ready to toss this thing out when I gave it one last chance, changed out the gas/oil mix and used that 50:1 can of mixture that Home Depot sells. My wife in the meantime bought a used Homelite backpack blower she picked up at a yard sale. Well, on the first pull after using the can of gas/oil mixture the Ryobi fired right up. Haven't had a single issue since switching to the pre-mixed stuff. I guess the new lawn equipment just doesn't like ethanol gas (the pre-mixed can gas contains no ethanol). Anyways, if you have issues with starting the leaf blower, try the 50:1 can Home Depot sells; it worked for me and ended my frustration with the product.

On my second one. Neither lasted a year
Bought one and it didn't last a year. Home Depot kindly replaced it and the second one didn't last a year before it started to fail. After a year they became extremely hard to start and wouldn't stay running at full throttle. I take very good care of them and make sure they are using good fuel. The second one required new fuel line, primer bulb, and other items after a year. I will never buy another one and will spend the money on a good brand name!!buyer beware. You get what you pay for.

            Great product that will last
This my second purchase of this blower. The first was stolen in a home burglary. It is a great product. It has outlasted several other national brand blowers I used prior to buying this Ryobi.

              so so leaf blower
The tube keeps coming apart and I finally duct taped it together. Difficult to start. Usually 10-15 prime pumps and have to choke many times. The gas tank is in a bad position.

Starts very hard, as bad as my old blower
I bought this blower to replace my 10 year old blower that was a pain because of how hard it started. This new one is as bad as my old one. Do not buy this model.

                Gets the job done
Easy starting and powerful; HOWEVER the vacuum bag design needs to be reworked to make the shoulder strap more comfortable.
