Amazing Tool
I ordered this nail gun to install shiplap and trim in a laundry room. I've only used it for the one project (probably put about 500 nails through it), but I've got to say that this tool is amazing. No need for an air compressor..... so easy for the DYIer. Every nail came out perfectly, and using it was such a time saver and a breeze. Can't speak for longevity of the product just yet, but it's a winner in my eyes so far. Absolutely love it.

Won't last
I purchased this mailer for a shiplap project. Sometimes it would fire and sometimes not. The project was a 8x4 not huge by no means. My next project was a sink vanity. It worked hit of miss. Now it won't fire at all. Cleaned it, greased it and the light won't even light up. Pay 18 dollars for a 2 yr warranty. This one is 8 months old and worthless.

great gor the first several uses
I did not use it alot but when i did it worked great until yesterday it did one nail then hung up and killed batt. Recharged did the same thing. Had the tool for a little over 3 years (beyond warranty) i took it apart and there is a rubber bumper in the cylinder that was falling apart and had a gooy consistancy. I complained to ryobi and service said its beyond warranty. I tokd them “good OLD chinese rubber” I ordered parts bumper and 1 ruiber plug. The orings on the pistons were good probably neoprene. The parts co. shows those parts as replacement for obsolete and the bumper not avsilable till november. NOT TO GOOD

Worked great putting up a chair rail with 2.5" nails. The gun is heavy enough that nailing accurately can become a two-handed task. However, the built in air compressor makes it very portable and it's a good value if you already use Ryobi tools/batteries.

Really hand finish/brad nailer for DIYers and even pros, the time it saves is worth the money.. No hose and air compresser needed! If you have a lot of trim to hang or some light work to do to, this saves you a lot of time with finishing nails, especially the thinner gauge that like to bend. I used this most recently while redoing the doors (used on trim, not doors) inside the house and it cut my drill/hammer and nail time down by 75% or so. I reused the old brittle trim on the doors and this gun/nails didn't fray or crack it. Even on angled trim, if I held the gun parellel to the wall, it countersunk the nail (see picture). The only time I had an issue with the nail not countersinking properly was when I was not holding the nail gun down hard enough at the end of the drive and if I press the top of it (the air vent) to my chest then it couldn't "breathe" right. The directions are not the best but it is easy to use after watching a quick video on the internet. You can adjust the drive depth and air pressure which is great. I keep the power on the highest level and the countersink at the deepest. Clearing jams (which I havent had) can be done by loosening a simple latch near where it nails. The nail gun is not too heavy and the battery will last a long time. You can use 16 nails from 3/4" to 2.5". Although battery powered, the nail gun still uses air. The only downside to this tool is you have to wait a second between each nail. The light on the nail gun is an added feature for dark spots. Tool belt hook is nice as well although you probably wont be hanging it unless you are going up a ladder. Battery lasts for several hundred nails and switching nail sizes is pretty easy.

Worked well right out of the box. Shoots nails from different suppliers. I have used 2 and 1 1/4 inch nails no problem. It is a bit heavy and bulky at 6 lbs.

Amazing! So much nicer to not have to drag a hose and compressor around. It does the job!
