Decent Jigsaw
This Jigsaw is not bad. It has great power, since it's corded, no surprise. The blade wobbles a ton, which is not uncommon in a Jigsaw, but this one seems more than most. It's be really nice if this came with some kind of case, soft or hard. I actually re-used an old Dewalt hard case. The power cord is very stiff, but length is good. For the price it's a pretty good value.
They have a new HP Cordless Jigsaw, I would check out if you have Ryobi batteries. Given the workload of a Jigsaw, cordless is most likely a great option.

Cheap do not buy
So after some use of this Jig Saw , while cutting the blade gets out of its designated area due this situation it will damage your cut!!
In addition of that , since Ryobi added the feature to cut on 45° the base wont stay stable and after few cuts it will unlock from its position and your cut won't be perfect
So I would not recommend it

I placed my order online because of the convenience not having to be in a crowed store and I would receive my tool by the weekend. Which would have been perfect! What I did not anticipate was that I would receive a used tool with out the blade in a tore up box. I called the Customer service department spoke to a very nice lady "Vicky" and she said that I can get a discount on the one I received, or return it to the store for faster service (defeating the original propose) and running the risk that they may not have it in stock. From now on I am going to the competitors. Please look at what I received...NOTICE that it was not packed properly from the start. Vicky stated that the package might have been miss handled by the deliverers.

Cheap not inexpensive
When you clamp the base into place it presses the bottom of the saw open and it becomes uneven. The saw then cuts at an angle. There is no such thing as inexpensive Ryobi tool, it will always cost you a lot of time and money. In my experience all Ryobi tools are cheap. Returned it rather than dealing with Ryobi’s ineffective warranty.

Saw worked good, it did seem a tad bit under powered even when cutting simple 3/4 plywood. I did only use the blade it came with though. I am going to purchase better blades and hopefully I will see a difference. Out the box was fairly easy, the quick change blade is nice as well.

Just don’t really care how the deck lock is. Can’t tell if it’s dead 90 or off a little. Other then that. It’s great. Will definitely work for my everyday life not everyday use. Did the floors in my house using only the jig saw.
