I had a lower speed blower from ryobi and it wasn’t powerful enough but this one is definitely better. The major issue with it is the boost button is very finicky, easy to press but doesn’t consistently stay on and seems like it is a common issue. I may return it or see if I can get a replacement. Otherwise it is a very nice machine.

Make sure you look at your blower and the specs to make sure they match. Home Depot sent a similar looking one but was different than what I had actually ordered from them. They would’ve ripped me off. I don’t trust them.

Second time I made an attempt to buy Ryobi 40V tools again absolute poor quality, and the worst assembly manual I’ve ever seen in any product. Exchanged at the store the weed trimmer tool, brought it home and the shield on the new trimmer one is broken.

Black fiday deal!! But the 40V power head is Great!! I was able to weedwack 1/4 acre lot with chainlink fence, givien it's not growing season I was able weedwack both sides, edging and driveway then used blower (turbo is great!) and the battery still had 2/4 led. The trimmer head works but kicks up a lot of rocks and sand. I put my old trimmer head and it works great! I used the it on low speed most of the time, the trigger on 40V head allows for much more control that my old 25cc craftman

Very powerful leaf blower. If you do not use the turbo button too much, you can get about 10-12 minutes on a 6aH battery. The turbo mode is enough to send pinecones flying. My only complaint is the battery makes it top heavy, and it can easily fall over when placed on the ground. However, it is very stable if you place the back intake on the ground (see photo).

I upgraded from a 18v Worx to this 40v monster. It is worth the cost since it comes with 2 batteries. I can continuously hold the trigger down for 25-30 mins. I haven’t had to use the turbo button no need to. The only reason for 4 stars is the weight but that’s because of the battery. I nice shoulder strap would be nice with this one. Im blowing leaves from 10 ft and it Does a quick job

Purchased this blower (730 CFM) in the summer of 2022. It worked well until the switch began shorting out causing the blower to stop then start again. Off and on. Constantly. I took the blower to the local Ryobi Service Centre. The service centre contacted Ryobi on September 21st, 2023 after inspecting the unit and confirmed the switch was the issue. In order for the service centre to fix the blower under warranty (which it is under warranty) Ryobi MUST CONFIRM WITH THE SERVICE CENTRE THAT THEY CAN PROCEED WITH THE REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY. As of the close of business October 19, 2023 the service centre still has not received any confirmation to proceed with the repair under warranty. Absolutely nothing. ONE MONTH to give a simple "OK TO REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY"???? In the middle of leaf season and I'm without a blower. After learning of Ryobi's zero response to the repair facility I phoned Ryobi "Customer Service" and waited on the phone for 44 minutes for someone to answer. No one ever did. Not enough employees hired to handle the volume so we the customer suffers. I'm a loyal Home Depot shopper and have spent tens of thousands on their various products. However, I would rather buy any other brand other than Ryobi. I should have listened to my gut and paid $100 - $150 more and got another brand. A brand that offers at least some basic level of customer service. Be smart - you get what you pay for. What's the price of NOT having your tools for months because a manufacturer fails to respond.

This blower replaced a 30 year old Ryobi blower/vac, so there's not much to compare other than the old unit still runs. The new blower is very versatile, from clearing the walks and drive, sweeping the garage out, blowing light snow, drying the cars, and blowing leaves. It is well balanced regardless of the battery size installed. I have used it with 4 ahr., 6 ahr., & 7.5 ahr. packs. Great run time and the cruise control is great long running jobs. It's also quiet at full throttle.

This Ryobi blower outperforms any other cordless blower that I have used. It has great ergonomics and as much power as a gas or corded blower. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

I broke this trimmers shield with about 10seconds of first hitting the trigger. Shield is plastic and clamped around the main shaft with a metal bracket. Plastic broke, releasing the shield while powered on, which was a little spooky. Not a lifetime weed trimmer. A bit more of a disposable

I went from a brushed Ryobi blower to this new model and it has exceeded my expectations. The difference in power is huge and it feels like a top of the line model. The quietness is pretty amazing as well. I don't feel the need to wear earplugs. Even with variable speed I mostly stick to High with intermittent turbo. I get about 10-15 min. per battery. I get a good bit more with the 6ah that came with the mower and in either case the weight and balance in hand is acceptable. I'm not a huge fan of nozzle attachments. I cut it down to the 160mph level and left it there. Feels like a good balance of speed and power. The blower is big and bulky compared to my older blowers and is easier to knock over. If there's one area that I'd improve it would be that. Definitely recommended. The kit as a whole felt like a great upgrade.

I already had this same weed trimmer; I bought it last year. The 40V really makes this as powerful as my Stihl... maybe a bit more. I received this combo as a promotion for purchasing an 80V lawn tractor. I've put the trimmer away as a backup but I am using the blower. It works great and my only nitpick is that my pants get sucked-in against the back of the intake. Not a serious issue and certainly not dangerous... just weird.

after owning it for 1 year, it just stopped working in the middle of using it. It’s never gotten wet or left in the sun. The back has always been clear and away from loose items or clothing. I bought the warranty through Home Depot, I tried to make a claim, told me that it’s under the Mnfctr 2yr warranty still and to contact them.. so I did and RYOBI’s warranty center is a disappointment. Watch the videos on YouTube and you’ll find out why, hopefully before you buy, unlike me.

Great performance, battey last all day ,great power ,will be better if they come with shoulder straps or something because of the blowing power

Our town banned gas blowers so I purchased this one. My old blower was a hand held gas. This one will work fine for light summer blowing and it is pretty powerful abut just is not quite the power needed for fall work. Also, the two connections in the photos are very weak and with continued use I anticipate having to use duct tape to reinforce the connections. Already the rubber end as well as the entire black tube fall of if they hit anything.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This a very good cordless leaf blower. Runs reasonably quiet compared to a gas blower, and no smelly gas and oil mix. Definitely handles my yard blowing needs. Its weight is light enough to make it easy and comfortable to handle. The battery definitely holds a charge long enough to handle my needs.

This blower was a gift and replaces a 25 year old blower/vac attachment. Much easier to use & way more powerful. Excellent balance makes extended use NOT a chore. Even a 7.5 ahr. battery doesn't inhibit use.

For such a powerful blower I was expecting it (with the battery) to be much heavier than it is. Having the same battery as my weed eater and edger is super convenient. I love the switch on the side to lock in the amount of force this bad boy dispenses!

When I got this thing I was shocked on the how powerful it is! The only bad thing about it is it does go through the battery pretty quickly when you use the turbo mode, but you have two batteries and they charge pretty quick you get the job done twice as fast when you use the turbo!

Blower was very easy to assemble in less than 5 minutes. Battery charger is very easy to figure out with the rate of charge display with Led.

The RYOBI 40V HP Brushless 190 MPH 730 CFM Cordless Battery Jet Fan Leaf Blower with (2) 4.0 Ah Batteries and Charger is a powerful, almost too powerful, leaf blower. It has a comfortable handle, though it could use a shoulder strap due to the weight when loaded with a battery. Due to the high volume of air it puts out, you have to be careful when using it to clear leaves or other material. It will easily blow other items away. After using it a few times I have learned to pulse the trigger in such away that bursts of air are emitted in a controlled fashion. It comes with two batteries and one charger. The charger is pretty efficient at fully charging the 4AH 40 volt batteries. A fully charged battery seems to last quite awhile and could easily clear a normal sized yard on one charge. The kit includes two nozzles, both capable of being cut to adjust the wind velocity. However, they are rubber and once cut, they are permanently set to that velocity. The unit is a little on the heavy side, weighing in at 7.5 pounds with a battery attached. The battery, alone weighs almost three pounds. All-in-all, this is a good unit, but having a should strap included would be helpful. The other issue, which just recently has occurred, is that the trigger is not always responsive. After a few weeks of use, the trigger now has to be pressed a number of times sometimes to get the blower to activate. Consequently, I've dropped the rating to average and cannot recommend the product.

There are a few features worth mentioning. The turbo button provides additional air blast when pushed. The amount can be controlled by a control knob. The air intake is at the rear of the blower, as opposed to the side, which avoids any blockage. The two batteries charge quickly and seem to hold the charge for a long time. There is also a charge indicator on the batteries. It comes with 2 ‘funnels’ that concentrate the propelled airflow. The entire tool, with battery mounted, is well balanced at the handle and control trigger. The most surprising aspect is the relative quietness of the tool for the amount of air thrust. Excellent cordless leaf blower.

I have been looking to replace my 120v corded blower and saw this new Ryobi 40volt HP cordless blower. This kit came with a battery charger and 2-40volt 4Ahr batteries. This blower is rated at 730cfm and 190mph velocity. It does come with 2 blower end tips that can be cut down to lessen the velocity should you desire for some reason or to keep as a spare. There is a dial where you can adjust the speed and volume and even a turbo boost feature where you can kick it up a bit when needed. This Ryobi blower has great balance and not too heavy for prolonged use and with the 2-4Ah batteries this shouldn't be a problem either.

I was a little concerned getting this blower with a whopping 730cfm/180mph blowing capacity to replace my little corded leaf (loud) blower. The box touts Whisper technology and, to my surprise, it really is quiet!! Check my posted video for reference. I really love it’s performance as well. With the conical nozzle, it jets to a fine point making cleaning out edging in my lawn a breeze. Great profuct!

This is so quiet! It has been about 3.5 to 4 years since I got my last battery operated blower and this is leaps and bounds better in just that short amount of time. It is not nearly as loud and the battery lasts a minimum of 25 minutes, if not more. I say that because I have yet to run it down to nothing. Best part is -- it comes with a back up battery should you ever need it! It is not too heavy in hand. The balance to it, from end to end, is so much so that I think most people could lift this and power through their yard work easily. The air exhaust on the back end is fairly deep, I don't find my clothes getting sucked into it. The batteries do charge fast, as advertised. I usually edge the lawn, use the blower to get the clippings on the lawn, charge the blower and by the time I am done mowing and use the line trimmer, it was fully charged and ready to finish off my yard work. You get two rubber nozzles that you can place on the end. I did not trim mine down. I left it with the narrow most hole size. I like it because for my needs with this blower, I use it after edging the lawn. I also use it to blow leaves all into one spot too (so it had little impact which nozzle you used). One thing I also appreciate is the extended blower length. I am over 6ft tall and with this, I can point this to nearly inches above the ground -- perfect for intricate edges or under bushes. This is a must for anyone who does their own yard work or has a tree that drops a lot of leaves during the change in seasons. It is really a game changer and I was a previous battery air blower owner. This is one of those kinds of items that you don't know you need it, or to get an updated one, until you have it. Then when you do have it...it is a true blessing.

The first time I used this Ryobi 40V blower I was impressed with how firmly I needed to hold it, just to control its air steam at full trigger. The 730 CFM at up to 180 MPH rating of this battery operated blower puts it in a class of the most powerful hand-held blowers I have ever used. All the power I ever wanted, low noise, no fumes and two batteries to keep going long enough to finish my 1.3 acres and then some.

Powerful and extremely quiet. We are very happy with this blower, the two 40V batteries and the quick charger. We left the rubbery 190MPH reducing nozzle on, though we didn't really need 190mph winds for our yard. The fully charged battery lasted about 20 minutes on medium cruise control with occasional turbo blasts. The turbo airflow is strong enough to remove cobwebs from stucco. This kit includes two batteries which is a big plus. After 20 minutes, the empty battery was too warm (normal, per the manual) for the quick charger to work. Recharging takes about 30 minutes including time for the warm battery to cool down enough to be charged. Having the second battery means we were able to finish the job. Our neighbor commented on how quiet this blower is. I think at medium level, the decibels were probably about 65d. Settings at low and medium provided plenty of juice to remove scattered birdseed, leaves, clumps of dirt, shrub cuttings, and all the dust in the garage. If you take the rubber reducer off of its clip-on holder, note that one of the plastic buttons is halfmoon to align with the halfmoon on the rubbery attachment.

POWERFUL; QUIET; WELL-BALANCED; CRUISE CONTROL; BATTERY HOG — The RYOBI 40V HP Brushless 180 MPH 730 CFM Cordless Battery Jet Fan Leaf Blower with (2) 4.0 Ah Batteries and Charger is an incredibly powerful and relatively quiet blower. Its power seems to be equivalent to or greater than the gas powered blowers that commercial landscapers use and so much quieter. The only downside seems to be how much battery it uses. To blow pine straw off of my driveway and street gutter which took no more than eight or 10 minutes, 50% of the battery was used. That is why the blower kit includes two batteries and a rapid charger. The blower takes less than a minute to assemble and requires no tools. It comes with two upper blower tubes since you may need to cut one or more of them to be able to have different CFMs at the outlet. I just kept the default setting of the tube. One of the features that I like is cruise control which I had not seen on other blowers. You depress the variable speed trigger to the desired speed, then set the cruise control lever which then maintains that speed without your continuing to press on the trigger. If you really need more power, there is an easily accessible “turbo” button at the top of the unit. From the pictures that I have seen of previous models, this new design seems to be better balanced and easier to use. Although the unit is heavy with the 40V battery, it is so well-balanced that the weight is not a problem. It has a huge, jet-engine type of inlet on one end for the air intake. It needs that much area to be able to blow out with its powerful force. Because of this huge air intake, I have not yet figured out how to store the blower efficiently. We don’t have any leaves on our yard yet in July, but I think that this blower will make short work of removing them in the fall. The unit has a five-year warranty with proof of purchase. It is made in Viet Nam.

Ryobi has made a great brushless, cordless blower, The jet fan does an excellent job of removing, leaves as well as other debris. Two Lithium batteries with 4.0 AH, as well as a charger, are included which allows for uninterrupted use. A turbo boost, and a variable speed switch, cruise control lever, are on top, or at the side of the handle. All are easy to use, , a large upper blow tube, with a speed tip, have been designed for efficiently allowing an excellent job.
