While those are indeed hard and sharp they are also very brittle. 2 of 5 broke while drilling through a steel bolt despite low RPMs, low pressure and cutting fluid.

This is a very nice and handy bit set for the small drilling jobs. I used them my pilot holes for my camera installation. It made quick work of doing that. I love the Ryobi brand, in that they are quality products and very reliable. I am certain that this set will come in handy for my do it yourself projects. I will keep these in my drill bag for easy access.

This is a 7-bit set in a handy plastic case. It contains 1/16, 5/64, 3/32, 7/64, 1/8, 5/32, and 3/16. These are many of the sizes that need to be replace in a larger set, since these small bits tend to get broken. It is much cheaper to buy this set than buying the individual bits. The black oxide twist drill bits are rated (by Ryobi) to last 3 times as long as standard high speed twist drill bits. I tried them on aluminum, plastic, and wood. I got clean holes with minimal exit chip-out even without using a backer board. The holder lists the size and the 3 larger bits have size engraved on the shank. However, it is hard to read the size on the black shaft. They are manufactured in Indonesia.

RYOBI Black Oxide Round Shank Drill Bit Set (7-Piece). This is a nice set of small drill bits. This set is pretty durable. I really like the case. This set has a nice assortment of small bits. I use a lot of drill bit being a mechanic and these one are not bad at all. The size of the case is nice cause it takes minimal room in my toolbox. I would really recommend these.

These are not exceptional drill bits but they are affordable priced and come in a nice case. The case is probably my favorite part. Even after you break or dull the bits, you can replace them and continue to use the case. I’d say if you’re in a pinch and these are hanging on the shelf at your local Home Depot, they’ll get you through a weekend project or out of a jam at work. But they aren’t going to hold up to daily abuse, especially if you are drilling though metal or stainless steel, or aren’t keeping them well lubricated with cutting oil. Drilling through wood, they’ll last just fine. Plastic they’ll last a long time. For the price, they represent a good value and certainly aren’t poorly made. I wouldn’t be concerned about buying them for the reasons stated above, and they are a step up from similarly priced bits at a place that rhymes with Arbor Creight.

This 7-Piece Ryobi Black Oxide Round Shank Drill bit set lives up to the Ryobi name. The smaller-sized drill bits are perfect for those small holes you need to assemble items such as small hinges for boxes. I tried to show the actual hole sizes in one of the pictures and will say upfront that they went into the 2x4 I used quickly and cleanly. While I have many drill bits, all different sizes, hex, round, masonry, these black oxide are a great addition.

I got these bits to replace ones that I have lost or broken over time. These are good quality, round shank bits, made of black oxide. The come in the "RYOBI yellow" box that can be hung on your work bench peg board or put into your tool kit. In either place, they are easy to identify because of the bright color. With the round shank you have to tighten the chuck on the drill a little tighter so that they don't spin in the chuck when drilling. I did not find that to be a problem, especially when drilling wood. Obviously some of these are pretty tiny bits (1/16 and 5/64). For the smaller bits care must be taken to avoid breakage, however the black oxide does make them stronger than a regular bit. These are a great set to have on hand! According to the case, these bits are made in Indonesia.

This is a nice set of drill bits. The case is small enough to keep in a tool box/bag or with your drill kit. The sizes of the drill bits are a nice verity of sizes from small 1\16” to 3/16” for those small jobs. The case is marked for the sizes so you can keep it full when you use different bits for a project. The tab at the top can be used to hang them by your work bench.

These drill bits are tough and work very well. From 1/6” to 3/16” for drilling those fine holes with nice clean edges. I use them for drilling PCB boards and the 1/64” increments provide just the right size as needed and the split point prevents walking on the PCB. They do seem to stay sharp but have not used them extensively to test the 3x longer life. The handy case provides the size and easy carrying and storage. I like this product very much and highly recommend it.

I ordered this seven bit package to have a full set of small bits again. These range in sized from 1/16 through 3/16 inch. The black oxide seems to give the bits life over the standard high speed steel bits. These come in a convenient plastic carrying case which will easily fit into my drill bag. This set is very reasonably priced and I would order again.

Also, the smaller bits are nice to have handy because I always seem to break them, like the 1/16 and 5/64 sizes. No issues drilling and they appear to be of a nice quality for the price. This is excellent sturdy small set of drill bits. It’s Ryobi so you can trust that they are well made. It is 7 piece set from 1/16 to 3/16 for all your smaller jobs. The bits are black oxide for long life, and will maintain there sharpness. These bits are for all materials. Wood, Plastic, and metal. Not for masonry. Compact size so you can stick them in a pocket and you will almost be ready.

Out of 29 drill bits, only seven were straight enough to be useable. TWENTY-TWO!! were out of round — let that sink in for a moment.

Ryobi is really starting to make a name for themselves, and this drill bit set holds up to that nane. I can't speak for drilling through metal, but they tare through wood like their hungry for lumber. First thing I noticed is how sharp they are, and when they grab, they it's like a hot knife through butter. For the price, you not only get 29 drill bits, but you also get a solid carrying case to store them. Other brads charge twice as much for less, but I can say these will last a long time and are worth every penny!

Great package and great price. Works well with new impact drill too. Cute and convenient holder too. Common sizes included.
