I own the Ryobi 18 Volt lithium drill. Purchase this one because of size. It will get into tighter places and provides a light which help when working inside cabinets or other low light areas. The drill performs extremely well. It has good driving power for most work I do. The lighter weight results in less fatigue during the day. The light projects to work area and provides good lighting.
12 Volt Cordless lithium-ion drill is a great item to add to your tool box. The battery charge is long lasting. Generally, I only need to recharge the battery every other day.

This is a great little drill! Plenty of power for most common household tasks and even some outdoor ones that I thought might be too much for it. I love the light, now I feel spoiled! Battery holds juice for much longer than I thought it would. I am very pleased!
I like the smaller size for getting into tight places. This is a lightweight durable tool. I also like the charger that charges the battery, then goes into a safe mode that does not allow the battery to be overcharged but keeps it in suspension til further needed. I also like the adjustable clutch that prevents overtightening .

Had to install an above ground pool fence and knew my old Ryobi drill/driver wouldn't cut it anymore (15yr old cordless, batteries worn out) so sprung for this new model. I was impressed with how lightweight it is compared to my old drill/driver and it worked well drilling into the aluminum supports of my pool as well as driving screws into the PVC fencing. I charged the battery for 15 minutes while removing the fencing from the boxes and was able to finish the whole project without needing to recharge. I'm very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a new drill/driver.

I have used this device many hours since my recent purchase. I like it a lot. The drill is smaller than my other rechargeable drill (I use two), but the chuck is the same size. It can handle big drill bits. It has a little light on the base, which I didn't notice until I was working late in the evening once. I found the light helpful, saved me a trip to get a flashlight. I like the lithium battery. Don't need to worry about over-charging it, like the older rechargeable batteries. The charger shows a green light when it is charged.
It was $50, a good value. I would have liked to have two batteries for that price, comes with only one.
